The point is that you dont re-tune a guitar every song to suit a singers vocal range, you either transpose to another key or adjust the melody. Dave hits higher notes in songs where,unlike 4-way diabolo,the guitar is deep and gutsy.This fools the listener somewhat.
4-Way Diablo was an underrated record. problem was the sound imo. the mix was off and the guitars lacked power on most of the tracks. the new album has more balls.

What are you lot talkin' about? Unless you haven't heard much MoMa, you'd know that there are plenty of songs where the vocal goes way higher than this. Which key the guitar is in makes no difference to the pitch of the harmony or melody. Try singin along with "On the verge".
@lamentate07 a lot of albums that come out thru Spv seem to be like this they have the greatest artist in the world but there production always seems flat. I fucking love this album anyway :). I own two Magnet albums Mastermind and Spine Of God and intend on getting this one and more. Seeing them play a 30 minute Set at Australia's Metal and Punk Fest Sound-wave in Perth in March, Can Not wait. Motorheads Motorizer suffered the same as this album. But i still like it hope they play 4 WAY.

well gents being a magnet fan since 1990 I can tell you dave is sobered up now and this song is about him overdosing on about a 100 tranquilizers on a plane. We almost lost a great artist and one of my faves if not my favorite metal artist.
One of those songs that make bone chilling drug fueled delusion and paranoia sound fun.But that's pretty much what they always do. Alice In Chains too,they were a little better at it than MM. Not making light of it just stating a fact

great album, but i still think TAB 25 is the best album they ever did.

None of that is accurate.
I lost most interest after the Powertrip days (Dave's sobriety changed the band) but I'm going back and finding some gems now like this one.
