I used to be a record collector nut. But turning 57 soon. I sold most of my best stuff... Monster Magnet came into the store I worked at (Play it Again in Royal Oak Michigan) Anyway...in like 1990... the original band...signed my Murder/Tractor single. I'm looking at dying... might as well keep my singler to hardcore fans But still have this 45... picture sleeve of course... Red vinyl....Lizard Johnny/ Freak Shop USA. I'm still selling my records... but I will keep this one until the last ☠️
Yup...me and Heidi again...as much as I have listened to this... Heidi is the tougher one. She's something that I'm not... almost 2years sober. I'm blitzed out of my mind and this is the perfect song to listen to for me right now
I think that Dave Wyndorf is bipolar.. he seems particularly manic on this one. This is my favorite all time MM song... and I have pretty much everything they've ever done, including a ton of bootlegs.
This era Magnet I doubt that most people know,,,but further,,,Lizard Johnny.....you don't have a chance Screaming out on the street,,, I witnessed the birth of a freak
Freaking love... the most gutteral of a situation and life. These guys deserve a gold star on the walk of the real hall of fame rockers. I'm American...I know it won't happen here... but maybe in England... probably Germany... Those fucks have to deal with what their ancestors did. And they seemed to have attoned to. And from what I read all the time... love our best rock bands. Of course The Ramones first and the Circle Jerks and the list keeps going. The Dwarves...
They nailed it perfectly.. They had insight... and made this genre of Stoner Rock...I love a lot of others SR bands... but only a song or two... Sucks having to change songs from a band. MMs...at least up to Superjudge... you can listen and dig every song (at least not have to change the CD. Magnet rule... and this early stuff I wish that it stayed like that.. but I'll never turn off a Monster Magnet song.. Especially this...the combination of the Texas Chainsaw massacre... early Stooges and Jersey Stooges rockers☠️
@Luckyvoxx you know... I'd never realised that... but not that you mention it, it does... I guess there are just so many songs out there, there have to be some that sound similar.
"Well... I'll tell you freaks... I've got eyes in the back of my head!" So badasses! I don't mean to gloat you fucks ...got the 45 on red vinyl....plus I have Murder/Tractor.... single signed.... original band ...ah so what? Ah well
Just the baddest song I have ever heard... Is it not the truth? Big Stooges and black Sabbath guy... but...as bad as they were.... this single is I think the baddest and scariest songs ever... A music tribute to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre ☠️
So it's back to monster Magnet. Yeah well..... the carpet keeps screaming ☠️. I should just swim until I meet a toothy girl or guy... Don't want to die in a swamp by an alligator.... Going to die
But if you are listening to this song.. whatever age you are... you are a badass... girl or guy.. I know because I have been deputized.... Lizard Johnny ☠️
I don't give a fuck about who you say you are.... This is the best end of the world song... Not to be snobby but I have this 45 on red vinyl....so bad ass! Sorry but maybe better... Lizard Johnny on the other side... screaming out on the street....'witnessed the birth of a freak... Both of them changed Rock and Roll.... This started Stoner Rock. I don't care who you are... and yeah this is old history.... This started Stoner Rock.... Love the Stooges... but these guys made it like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Stalloned and grew up and love the Shining.... 2 and a half hours.... I did it on a sober night... but though doubtful.... I watched it. I love The Shining...it reverts back to most Stephen King films. ... But it was like Stanley Kubrick was there. Anyway I want to listen to Lizard Johnny ☠️
Plus the original EP. You shouldn't yap because you don't know the original (unless you have studio copies...which i doubt. This is caveman stuff...Planet of the Apes...I have been following tjem since I first heard them in '90 ...From years of jerking off in my parents place...Im just a popping my blackheads in Freak Shop USA
So funny...so stuck on the Stooges.... and these guys came out... only validating them and The Stooges more... I feel really bad in retrospect about not valid dating the Ramones more. They learned off the Stooges.. but changed things forever. Love Mobster Magnet. But nothing like the Stooges or the Ramones
