I love the way it's shot, when they go in the store and you keep hearing the interview outside, very artful
If you appreciate REAL music. Check out the first song you hear on this documentary. "School days over" by Luke kelly. It will open a whole world to you.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account?
I stupidly lost my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Casen Keith Instablaster =)
@Tatum Axton I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Tatum Axton it worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
It's perhaps increasingly rare these days to see a band in the spotlight with such a genuine commitment to maintaining their integrity - and all without being up their own arse.
I can't like this but I'll say nice 😁🤘
the tour promotor with the moustache seems a little up his own arse but I wont blame that on the boys!
I'll second that. Well put.
They’re definitely up their own arse
Agreed to bits mate
The lyrics are like poetry and the melodies sound like traditional old songs, but when you put it all together with the rhythm section it's a whole new animal and I love it.
65 year old here and to me this is the irish clash.
I’m 55 and they bring me back to the post punk days I grew up in! Thanks guys for bringing it back!
This is so pure, it’s too real.
James Gild is it too real fouryaaaaaa
@@weezer91101 You bastard, I wanted to make that joke :)
Spinal Tap it ain`t! One my favourite movies in all fairness!
its not just the friendship that you can hear in there music its there emotional level of friendship, thats what makes these lads so special
Grian: "Just bleed all the time. Just bleed who you are all the time. Don't hold back."
Me: "Thank you for keeping it real. Love you Fontaines D.C." 💚
I keep coming back to this documentary, it is so enriching. A real treat, so well made, thanks to everyone involved.
What a brilliant, exciting band. Dogrel just sounds so different to anything else I'm listening to.
Detroit 2022: The absolute best show I've seen in many, many years! Nothing but the best...
Thank God someone is holding up the idea of honest rock in this 21st century crying out for genuine youth and passion. The older generation are finding this young band quite refreshing to say the least. For what it`s worth it takes this 58 year old right back and that`s great because at the end of the day, `It`s Only Rock n Roll, but i LOVE it!
This is such a lovely insight into the band, such intelligent, caring young men.
They are truly unreal I’d love friends like these lads, genuine and intelligent talented beyond belief I actually love them all very special band and I’m loving how they are growing into something I’ve been waiting for, wish them all the luck and love they deserve 💕
Saw them live on KEXP a year ago. Immediately the thought 'who said rock is dead?' came up. 'Dogrel' lives up to the expectations and that"s just great. Love this raw en pure music en poetry.
I'm 67 and recently discovered the 'taines' - a really great band, just love their sound.
21.50 when he forgot he was in a documentary and started to swear but caught himself at the last second. What a fucking champ
First band I've been excited about in years and years. 2nd album is even better IMO.
such a needed documentary. feel connected to the music they make knowing such genuine commitment had gone into the album. never felt so emotional about a band
Wow this documentary is incredibly shot and put together not just saying that it’s genuinely amazing.
really lovely. thanks for sharing this doc.
Love these guys so much.. Stylish and slick musicians..
Loved them the first time I heard them on the Radio ❤😍❤🤘
This is a wonderful doc. Thank you for putting it together and for making available for free viewing
Great doco. Saw them in Newcastle in January, one of the best live bands I've ever seen
Great watch. Keep her lit. All the best for the future.
Great work Mark, you captured the genuine spirit of the band very well!
Quite possibly the best band of the last couple of decades....I adore this band! Great documentary, thank you.
They're going Great so far. Was outside the tent with my Brother last year at Glastonbury, the thing was absolutely packed! Hope they go far! Up the Boys! 🇮🇪
Charisma is exquisite manipulation is without doubt the best line/lyric I have ever heard!!😳🔥
Great insight into an amazing band. Really enjoyed it. Cheers for uploading it 👍
How does this only have 99 comments? Brilliant band and they come across as such good lads.
Really well put together doc, great effort!
What a lovely film. I was in a band like this.
Very authentic and real. No egos or " artistic difference "
Cool, great doc. Thanks for sharing.

I think what has been on everyones lips today when are we going to listen to real music not your manufactured stuff but real raw throbbing music that effects all the senses i am talking joy division the fall etc etc punk and all those greats. never thought i would hear that music again. and then the Fontaines D.C were born. Straight out of Dublin. And raw music was once again resurrected by the FONTAINES DC thankyou
Really great songs and creative parts .
Tom going in for a handful of Tyskie. Doin us proud
As a German I can say that I love Tyskie !!! (and Kölsch) but Tyskie is the greatest beer ever !
@@Nico-vr8ec Always first choice in the all night offie
@@Nico-vr8ec Polish beer is so underrated just like this band
This is the life I want to live.
Fantastic insight into the band x
The beautiful shedding of the ego, great to see
You can also channel the ego, it doesn't have to be a "negative" thing
For fooks sake....didn't think I could dig FDC anymore, but now I sure do!
The Fall evolved. Mark E Smith would be proud.
Can’t wait for August release of some new tracks.
Great Video, Up the DC!
Gonna be massive, cmon the boys 🇮🇪
Cian McGivern they’re gonna be big!

abSOULutely beautiful.
TYSKIE 🇵🇱
Thanks for choosing Tyskie beer :)
I've been a big fan of the band since seeing their performance at Glastonbury last year. I only recently found out that they recorded Dogrel in Streatham. I lived in Balham for 14 years and then moved a bit south. It was great to see the footage of them out and about on Bedford Hill at ua-cam.com/video/3ppfzdY6jPs/v-deo.html and then on Fernlea Road at ua-cam.com/video/3ppfzdY6jPs/v-deo.html. I wonder if they were on their way to The Bedford?
I think they will record / are recording their second album in Streatham also and I hope they can still enjoy hanging out in the area. I think they'll be more recognised now though. SW London is proud to have them.
i want to log this on letterboxd!! edit: i added the info to the movie database, so you can log it now :)
There's something special
At last some originality by a young band.
💘
Rock n rollies
7:58ish onwards.. speaking my thoughts 🔥
2:25 that wine shirt reminds me of a certain someone. Glad it does.
Who?
@@dwoebebuffayThe lead singer of Joy Division used to wear those kinds of shirts.
Ian Curtis
Brilliance
nice film - Tyskie rules
Goes around goes around oh ya baoiyaaaaaa
Song at the beginning?
I love the band but does anyone think they should have given TS Eliot a credit for the verse at 14:40 in the album notes?
RH I don’t have a problem with “borrowing” because poets do it all the time, even Eliot himself. And I’m pretty sure Eliot’s poetry is open domain. But idk I feel like there should still be a note.
I agree, I was v surprised there was no credit for TSE on the sleeve notes for Dogrel. Best to be honest about it surely? It’s lifted almost word for word.
Clattering scamp I’m pretty sure only one or two lines is actually word for word. Eliot himself lifted lines all the time
some sound lads lyk
Damien Dempsey there :)
The jury is still out, I like the videos
Is this the jury for slow learners?
Take as long as you need 👍
@@martinmcdonald4207lmao. It must be. Special needs.
What’s the name of the song playing at the start before they go on stage
'School Days Over' - Luke Kelly and the Dubliners' cover of the Ewan McColl song. Just brilliant
1:34 me in my room every weekend
Anyone know what danelectros they're using?
Danelectro 59 and a Danelectro U2
Can anyone tell me the name of the song the lads are singing at the beginning? I recognise it but can't place it.
Sadly no idea
School Days Over.... Luke Kelly
@@xfactorcritic Deadly, thanks very much
Fontaines DC have made music relevant again, no easy task.

Tap'esque :)

me on 3:40: omg polish beer!!
I hope they weren't disrespecting our Daniel!
He picked up polish beer Tyskie
Getting a joy division vibe ? great band.
Heirs to The Fall. Great and lyrics. But without the MES angst.
That was dacent
Why does he stylistically sing flat?
:)
Less of the dictator pencil pushers.more of these bands please
is this too real for yaaaaaaaa?!
Hope they never do a Sex on Fire
Panicked when he was dwardling at the beer fridge, thank god he went with Tyskie! Nearly lost all respect if he'd gone for carling
I'd like to sell Fontaines DC for parts to be honest
I absolutely loved the singles, thought the album was all right, but when I saw them live and watching this documentary, I can't get over how contrived the singer is. Doesn't feel 'too real' at all.
