This was a huge help thank you. Tightening the forks on my first bike, and 05 electric glide. I thought I was going to be complicated until I saw this video.
Cool. Glad it helped
Very helpful channel, so glad I came across this channel. Has already saved me hundreds!
Great to hear! Thanks
Awesome! Thank you so much. I read something about how difficult that is but then I found your video. Just perfect. Worked out very Fine. 20min job. One thing was different: my pin was on the other side. Thank you!
@@strohhutkevin6533 glad it helped.
Thanks for this video. I need to replace the bushings on my 99 Electra Glide Classic and wasn't sure how to access everything.
No problem 👍 glad it was helpful. take care and ride safe
And some shops will charge you almost $200 to do the adjustments. Tell you it's cause "The fender needs to come off" or some shit. This is an easy do it yourself if needed. So amazing the kinda crap lies people tell. Thank you man. Perfect video I'll be using to tell my mechanic "I know" how it's done so don't bs me lol.
😂 some are honest but a lot are not.
@@TechnMoto Mine is cool enough. I mean the other day he took 5hrs to install something he said would take 1-2. Only charged me for two. I know it took about 5 cause I was there lol. Guy is consistent that way. But I don't think he wanted me to know he was having troubles with the install cause he kept shooing me out lol.
He knows I'll probably be back in a couple of weeks with another job so.
I would not say anything just to play it safe. Piss him off, no telling what he'll do.
Thanks man, I just bought a 2007 with broken handlebars on the right side and was sweating the process but this puts me at ease.
Good luck with it
Thanks Mike, I really enjoy the way you show the step-by-step process!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks buddy. Mine are in need of a good adjustment. Driving me nuts
@@slowfox89 hope it helps
Thank you so much. I was hearing people removing the outter shell and removing the HU to access the front 2 bolts. They were scared to mess with the ignition switch.😂
BTW love your color/shade choice of green.❤❤❤
Glad I could help, thanks
Hey thanks for this Video! Just bought a electra glide set up for a 6ft 5 guy. I'm 5 10, need to pull the bars back a little.
glad it was helpful
Thanks for this. Thought I was going to have to take it back into Harley.
Dude, glad I could help you out. If you could help the channel out by subscribing, if you haven’t already. Thanks 🙏
Thanks I’ve been looking for this video for a few days!
Ok 👍
Great video Mike. You really did an amazing job on that EG. She still looks brand new.
Hey Matt long time. Thanks bud she is still going strong.
Thank you Mike!
I wish all videos were this informative!
Oh geez. Your too kind. Thanks 🙏
Do you remove the two upper screws off the additionnal front lights to allow the fairing to come a little forward? Is that it?
@@EmmanuelKOBLOTH I removed the top ones and loosened the bottom ones. I believe.
great video, just subbed..will this worke the same way on a 2021 street glide??
I would think it would although I never did one. My brother has a 2009 street glide and it worked on his.
Great video👍 I always wondered just how much had to come off to access the bolts. My '08 R/King is simpler, but then again, the
U/Classic offers the rider a lot more all around.
We gotta get together for a ride one of these days, now that your approaching retirement! Wish I could join you on the RT. 66 trip. Ride safe my brother.
I’ll try to put something together for a ride. Before I leave for my trip. Can’t promise anything. 😆
Thanks for you help
@@alessandrovattolo592 glad I could.
So since everything is right there….can you swap out the bars without taking off the fairing? Could you get them out and install the new ones?
No fairing would have to be moved out of the way. As I explained all mounting bolts need to be removed for the fairing and then you can move the fairing forward to gain access to all four bolts for bar mounts
I love that color, Thank you
Thanks 🙏
Thanks for posting , just tightened my loose handlebars in like 10 minutes 👍
Super cool! Glad I could help.
The two screws on the sides of the ignition cover - what size bolts? Torx, yes? The two sets of side bolts that will allow the fairing to move - again, what size bolts?
Sorry I don’t remember sizes. Maybe someone else can help.
IT WAS VERY EASY AFTER I WATCH YOU VIDIO THANK YOU
Glad it helped 👍
Thanks for the quick tip bro. 👍🏾
Hope it helps.
Do you recommend taking out the handlebar bolts, or any other, and replacing them with loctite?
I didn’t do that and it’s been good.
@@TechnMoto thankyou for the reply. Tomorrow morning I will do this. I'm not to skilled but, I will do my best🙂
@@michaeldelio1870 good luck. 👍🍀
I have some kind of chrome sticky covers over the allenhead screws that are in the head also. Scared of scratching chrome. How the hell you get those off ?
I don’t know of anyway to take those off without damaging them. The ones I’ve seen are usually plastic and are glued on.
@@TechnMoto Thanks, I finally got them off using a straight pointed pick. No scratches or blood shed. Will try small flame or solder iron next time.
@@lancewillinger2284 cool nice job
How to get to top bolts
I believe I covered that in the video
I would recommend lifting your negative battery terminal before doing any electric work, remove seat lift negative terminal
Good tip
Same for a 2007 Electra Glide Classic?
Should be close. Take a look at it. You should be able to tell
@@TechnMoto thanks for getting back to me so quick!
@@crsddabc5568 I try
Might be an idea to clean off and 'lock tight' them bolts before you re-tight them
I'm good lol but sure if you want to go ahead.
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊 Thanks for watching
Like the video but didn't explain on ignition switch
Links in description if you need help with that.

Thank you 🙏

Thanks
Just tightening the back two is just not enough.
You sure about that?
