Did you flip the door after installing the locking bolt because it was behind the Vevor logo at first but later when installed it was on the other side. update: I just realized the manufacturer put the hole on the wrong side so now the upper door for us is useless

Thanks. I am playing around with numbers and checking analytics daily. On this channel with 141,000 subs and about 300 new subs added every month, my views are tanking. Even older videos that were a hit long ago. Some people blame me and say its my content. It sucks now. But the old stuff that was a hit, those are down now too. My entire channel is tanking. Meanwhile Country Wood Products has 250 subs and gets 600 views per video - NOT monetized. See the key here. Have a look at why I think this is so. Go to your "Content". If you are monetized, there might be a new button on your menu. "Promotions". YT now wants US to pay THEM for views!!! Sickening!!!!!

I can see a good gust of wind taking that chicken tractor without wheels for a ride up and over the fence! A chicken coop it is not more like a chicken run / tractor a coop is a building
Unfortunately they are sending out wire now that tears when you pick it up. Its absolutely terrible! It is nothing like what you are using. I picked up the double Poultry House, and although it is very easy to assemble. The cover wont keep a cat out let alone a raccoon. I am having to order hardware cloth to cover mine.
Oh, thats terrible. Mine already survived an attack at night from some animal. Tore apart some of the zip ties but the wire mesh held. I replaced the zip ties with baling wire and put up some heavier welded wire fence on the bottom half of the coop.
I’m finally home and able to watch your video! Nice coop, but what about side protection? I’m thinking maybe a few tarps on 3 sides might not be a bad idea…

Wow! I never had anything tear through chicken wire. Although I lost a whole batch of chicks one time cause a possum reached through and tore them up bit by bit. And we do keep the birds inside a wooden coop at night so that eliminates night time predators there. We have chicken wire we bought second hand a few years ago. We use it as needed to keep chickens out of the gardens and flower beds.
@@TheDoItYourselfWorld We had what looked like a dog on our security cam rip through like it was basically nothing. we were not at home at the time so we found the mess when we got back. We had one chicken left she got out of the coup and hid in the barn under some hay bails. After a year or two chicken wire if it is even a little rusty is so fragile you cane brake it bare-handed easily. My kid grabbed some to bend over and pick something up and it tore a hole in the wire. So I replaced all of the chicken wire with half-inch hardware cloth. It is galvanized and much more heavy duty. So far after 10 years it is still just as solid as the day I installed it. It is also so structurally ridged that it makes the Coup structure much more sterdy structurally. It is definitely more expensive than chicken wire, but I haven't lost a single bird since from a preditor.
Hardware cloth is always going to be better for sure. I did use hardware cloth as screens in the chicken coop windows to stop anything from tearing through.

Have a look at the width of the wire and see how it fits better. I should have run mine opposite of how I did. But it worked anyway.

I have cement filled buckets chained to it now. I think I said in the video that I have plans for different anchors.

You should consider putting a tarp along the south side during summer to block the sun so they have more shade.
I might do that if the sun gets in too far.

The birds need some sun. It dries the ground and they love to dig into the dirt and lay in the sun.

I have chicken wire that is 20 years old. If you keep it dry, it should last. If it wears out, then we will replace it.
