Yea I’ve been trying to figure out some nice way of covering them without it looking ugly, but luckily we don’t have kids right now so no worries at the moment 😂
inside coop, vertical tin could cause a flying chicken toe to get stuck or broke, maybe rip a pine board to cover exposed tin edge. really like your coop design, good job.
Love your design it’s the best one I’ve seen for bantams. Could you just list all the wood needed to make it . I could figure it out by the dimensions, trying to make one this weekend.
@@CorneliusMaximus69 it’ll be a couple months before I build another one, but I’ll try to do a video explaining the build and all measurements in the next couple days and post it
@@CorneliusMaximus69 I buy the tin from Home Depot, they sell them in individual sheets, I buy 2- 8ft sheets for the back and 10- 6ft sheets which do the sides and roof and the pieces inside
I'm considering making mine only 3-4 feet tall. Bantams don't necessarily need as much height as a full size chicken. I was thinking of making the roof open as well in order to avoid the need for doors. Maybe even make it more mobile. Not too sure yet, but your video is giving me a lot of ideas.
@@thevaughnhomestead makes sense. I'm 6 foot, so I can sympathize. I was just considering using a hatch style roof so I can save on lumber and wire. I have a bunch of reclaimed lumber, but I don't have enough for that size. But I like the style.
thanks, I have a video showing how to build it, thanks for subscribing and thanks for watching, and that's cool to know my videos are being watched that far away
Best bantam coop on UA-cam. Thank you for your time and effort. 😁
Thank you very much
Nice design, great job putting those together.
thanks I appreciate it, got to build a couple more before I'll be satisfied lol
It’s the perfect coop design for the Bantam’s! 🐓 Great job baby! ❤️
thanks baby 🥰
You’re welcome baby! 😘
Beautiful coop setup and nice bantams!!
thanks I appreciate it
Well done.
Simple economical effective and practical design mate.
10 out of 10
thanks I appreciate that
It's a very interesting design, the only con I see is the sharp sheet metal going down to kid height, kids and sharp edges don't mix.

@@thevaughnhomesteadfoam pipe insulation. The black stuff. Just pops right on.
Really nice design man
thanks, I also have another video that shows how to build it if your interested check it out
Looks really nice, sure wish building materials were more affordable for both you and I!
thanks, and yea really, needs to go down a good bit, maybe with the election things will go down momentarily and we can take advantage lol
Looks good! Thanks for sharing.
thanks, I appreciate it

20-2x4x8
5-2x4x12 (these make all the legs and boards connecting from top to bottom, just cut them at 63” which will make it 6’ tall
@@thevaughnhomestead Thank you! Are you making the tutorial on you build anytime soon? Thanks for the help, I appreciate it .

I do mine 6ft so that I can walk in it myself as well without having to squat down or hit my head lol

Hello sir theres a link in the description now for the how to build video
Do you have a video of the new construction
I don't at the moment, hoping to have one soon though
Might want to put a basket up high
I collect eggs daily, so the nesting buckets are not actually intended for them to hatch eggs in, just lay in
How often do you change out the wood chips.
about every 6 months
