I don't mind grinding for days, even weeks in case of characters. But to get three level 30 items, you would need to do dailies (including ranked) for MORE THAN A YEAR. That means being disadvantaged when facing paying players for a very, very long time.
Lv 30s are basically useless,m since they give out barely anything. The grindings not bad. The p2w is legit just skipping the non tedious grind why do we act like this is Battlefront

For 99% of players having 1 auto attack worth of additional damage is completely irrelevant because they don't have the skill to yake advantage of such a minor buff. A better skilled player will still beat you, mechanics and map awareness matter infinitely more than stats. The only time stats matter more is at elite levels of play where everyone is equally skilled. And those players already played enough to have level 30 items lol.

The Meta is evolving, probably you struggling against Gengars on Beginner or something. As a main Gengar you can outplay him easily with Flash or Heal. If Slowbro stuns Gengar he is dead.
I think items should be balanced in all matches unless specified. Like how smash has a game.mode where you can apply all of the sprites you have collected to you character.

Honestly I've gotten 3 items to level 20 without spending money, I don't know how much the difference between level 30 and level 20, but I heard the difference isn't too much, idc about how good I am at the game, I just like grinding new games, in a month I'll probably get bored, that's just how it is for me
It isn't much. Someone did a test on each item, and the basic attack+ item at max level killed a wild pokemon is 3 less auto attacks. But if you run the same items at 20, suddenly its 1 basic attack less to kill a wild pokemon. Small gap you can close.

I feel that the thing that makes people say Unite isn’t p2w is what people see as p2w. People immediately assume that p2w is paying x amount and instantly being in Master rank, which with Unite is not true most of time. Even though you don’t get a free master rank by paying it’s STILL p2w as you’re straight up paying money for free stats. Even if it’s something it’s small as an extra item level up, you’re still paying money for a higher number compared to people who don’t pay. So even though f2p players can still theoretically outclass people that pay the game is still p2w as its still offering boosts for money.
I think the issue is people who are trash are using P2W as an excuse and that's upsetting actual players who are decent. Yes you can use the items to get an advantage which is P2W, but the advantage is extremely miniscule and if someone beats you it isn't because of the items they are likely just better. So when idiots face check bushes or bum rush the enemy gengar and zera to fight a 2v1 and lose and then say "oh he must be P2W" it's stupid and upsetting

Map positioning, team comp, awareness, and flat out luck (being in the right place at the right time) matters way more than items would. After all even if someone is equally skilled to you and has max items....it doesn't matter if he walks into a 1v2 blindly or if his team isn't scoring or some other thing. The thing about MOBAs is that it's heavily reliant on luck and teammates more so than any individual skill you have when you are playing with randoms.

The hold items aren't that bad honestly. I also managed to have 3 hold items to level 20 without paying, but that's because of the current game events. The main problem is how unbalaced this game is. Zeraora and Gengar are waaaay too OP. Specialy Gengar. They need to balance this shit. But yeah, the game's still pay to win, even if the items don't give as much as people say.
Bruh Gengar is not a threat until he gets hex which should be at lvl 7. Anytime before that he's complete trash and is intended to be a burst assassin late game. Yeah, this is heavy pay to win, especially when you get to Expert and Veteran tier where it seems that all the opponents have fully maxed out items, I got toyed with by an Absol that did over 5k damage with a "crit". It was at level 4 and literally took out me and a friend at once. So yeah, this is there just to rub it in your face that "Oh, you didn't spend $200 to get all items maxed out? Let's send you into a battle with people who willingly throw every penny they have at us."

I wish that the concept of paying to upgrade items was never introduced in the first place? I can see you maybe paying to get skins or new Pokemon or clothes, but it creates this big wormhole when you can pay for item upgrades. Or at the very least, for people who have paid to upgrade their items, let them play the game amongst themselves and separate the people who haven't?
Personally, I just want three main changes: • Rewards are beefed up from leveling up and the little energy prize box thing. • There is no limit of energy you can get per week, but the new tanks require 250 energy to fill for a prize. • You get +1 Upgrade progress for each item you use if you used them in a match, +3 progress instead, kinda acting as an alternative XP system. This can make the grind a lot more rewarding and fair. Possibly a new achievements system like winning with a pokemon 10 and 100 times can give another reward. More alts to get would be nice. I want a disco afro (miror b would be the dream) eldegoss. Right now sooo many pokemon don't want alts

I've been feeling this bro, any game that incorporates items into a ranked system is P2W. It also reduces the viability of half the roster because everyone has to play a tank or glass cannon sweepers to contribute relevantly to the win.
What I like is that you can still be a f2p and get very far, we get free coins and tickets which are awesome so we can level up our items decently fast. If you know what you're doing and what to prioritize you can easily beat a p2p
Anything that requires you to pay money should be purely cosmetic. It doesn't matter how far you can get in the game by f2p if someone can just pay to be where you're at or even surpass you, doing that may create whales but it ruins the game as a whole.

The whole problem is that it has a cap on coins you can get for a week.
The fact that they put upgradable items that provide boosts in a MOBA game is already pay to win.

For 99% of players having 1 auto attack worth of additional damage is completely irrelevant because they don't have the skill to yake advantage of such a minor buff. A better skilled player will still beat you, mechanics and map awareness matter infinitely more than stats. The only time stats matter more is at elite levels of play where everyone is equally skilled. And those players already played enough to have level 30 items lol.

I think items should be balanced in all matches unless specified. Like how smash has a game.mode where you can apply all of the sprites you have collected to you character.

Honestly I've gotten 3 items to level 20 without spending money, I don't know how much the difference between level 30 and level 20, but I heard the difference isn't too much, idc about how good I am at the game, I just like grinding new games, in a month I'll probably get bored, that's just how it is for me
It isn't much. Someone did a test on each item, and the basic attack+ item at max level killed a wild pokemon is 3 less auto attacks. But if you run the same items at 20, suddenly its 1 basic attack less to kill a wild pokemon. Small gap you can close.
Now, I'd you have to play a different rol, you probably need a different set of items, so probably need to rank other 3 items

Player 1 and Player 2 both using cinderace
Player 1 using 3 item lv10 and player 2 using 3 item lv30
both player skill almost identical start pvp 1v1 and player 2 won because he can diss out more attack and more damage
Player 1 respawn in 5 second have to walk to the lane by another 5-8 second
Player 2 kill player 1 got 1 level up and farming wild pokemon gotten another level up
by the time player 1 and player met again not only they different in held item also by level
then player 2 only need to play smart he will snowballing the rest of the game
player 1 have to win zapdos in order to win the game

I feel that the thing that makes people say Unite isn’t p2w is what people see as p2w. People immediately assume that p2w is paying x amount and instantly being in Master rank, which with Unite is not true most of time. Even though you don’t get a free master rank by paying it’s STILL p2w as you’re straight up paying money for free stats. Even if it’s something it’s small as an extra item level up, you’re still paying money for a higher number compared to people who don’t pay. So even though f2p players can still theoretically outclass people that pay the game is still p2w as its still offering boosts for money.
I think the issue is people who are trash are using P2W as an excuse and that's upsetting actual players who are decent. Yes you can use the items to get an advantage which is P2W, but the advantage is extremely miniscule and if someone beats you it isn't because of the items they are likely just better. So when idiots face check bushes or bum rush the enemy gengar and zera to fight a 2v1 and lose and then say "oh he must be P2W" it's stupid and upsetting

@@MJ-oi6ul There is no such thing as two perfectly equally skilled people, but even if there was it's still a team game. Map positioning, team comp, awareness, and flat out luck (being in the right place at the right time) matters way more than items would. After all even if someone is equally skilled to you and has max items....it doesn't matter if he walks into a 1v2 blindly or if his team isn't scoring or some other thing. The thing about MOBAs is that it's heavily reliant on luck and teammates more so than any individual skill you have when you are playing with randoms.
Game is p2w, but I'm still having fun as a f2p player. I do not intend to spend money on this game, I'll have fun with what's available.

The hold items aren't that bad honestly. I also managed to have 3 hold items to level 20 without paying, but that's because of the current game events. The main problem is how unbalaced this game is. Zeraora and Gengar are waaaay too OP. Specialy Gengar. They need to balance this shit.
But yeah, the game's still pay to win, even if the items don't give as much as people say.
Bruh Gengar is not a threat until he gets hex which should be at lvl 7. Anytime before that he's complete trash and is intended to be a burst assassin late game. All these people calling for nerfs are so reactionary and always end up messing up game balance because they don't give enough time to learn how to counter it and instead bitch relentlessly about it.

Yeah, this is heavy pay to win, especially when you get to Expert and Veteran tier where it seems that all the opponents have fully maxed out items, I got toyed with by an Absol that did over 5k damage with a "crit". It was at level 4 and literally took out me and a friend at once.
So yeah, this is there just to rub it in your face that "Oh, you didn't spend $200 to get all items maxed out? Let's send you into a battle with people who willingly throw every penny they have at us."

I wish that the concept of paying to upgrade items was never introduced in the first place? I can see you maybe paying to get skins or new Pokemon or clothes, but it creates this big wormhole when you can pay for item upgrades. Or at the very least, for people who have paid to upgrade their items, let them play the game amongst themselves and separate the people who haven't?

Personally, I just want three main changes:
• Rewards are beefed up from leveling up and the little energy prize box thing.
• There is no limit of energy you can get per week, but the new tanks require 250 energy to fill for a prize.
• You get +1 Upgrade progress for each item you use if you used them in a match, +3 progress instead, kinda acting as an alternative XP system. This can make the grind a lot more rewarding and fair.
Possibly a new achievements system like winning with a pokemon 10 and 100 times can give another reward.
More alts to get would be nice. I want a disco afro (miror b would be the dream) eldegoss. Right now sooo many pokemon don't want alts

They can have a scaling system for the items where all the 3 items can between lvl 1-30 but the total lvl points is only 60 (like ev’s/iv’s system in pokemon showdown where stats can have a 240 multiplier) not a competitive player so sorry for the bad EXPLANATION

I imagine the held items are like items in League but you get them at the start. So basically you have Deadman’s Plate but the rest only have like boots.
I've been feeling this bro, any game that incorporates items into a ranked system is P2W. It also reduces the viability of half the roster because everyone has to play a tank or glass cannon sweepers to contribute relevantly to the win.

What I like is that you can still be a f2p and get very far, we get free coins and tickets which are awesome so we can level up our items decently fast. If you know what you're doing and what to prioritize you can easily beat a p2p
Anything that requires you to pay money should be purely cosmetic. It doesn't matter how far you can get in the game by f2p if someone can just pay to be where you're at or even surpass you, doing that may create whales but it ruins the game as a whole.
