That's very nice of Jay, what a gent (even if if he has joined Team Messerschmitt 😂) The TT headlight protector looks good, my Powerparts one annoys me that it's a pain to clean behind so I might have to look into one of these 👍
Haha Team Messerschmitt made me laugh! Yeah I ceramic coated my PP one and use a bike dryer so it wasn't awful but it was still a right faff to get behind if I needed to!

Does this change the optics clarity of the headlight lens though? Lens focus? It likely doesn't, but even still this seems like a lot of work for just headlight protection, which can largely be achieved by simply not following too closely to other vehicles.
Nope, not that I've noticed. Lovely clear beam pattern still. This one is more effort than the KTM Powerparts ones. You're right for the most part, but I spend quite a bit of time off road with the bike too so that's the main reasoning. The other key reason is I found out how expensive a new headlight is, and I'd happily spend an extra 5 mins cleaning the bike for the rest of my life instead of spending out for a new one! Only takes one stone!

Nice job mate,but i think touratech headlight protector wont fit with the puig windscreen,because puig has a "nose" at the bottom center of the screen to cover the upper center off the headlight...does anyone confirm that;
Ahh thats annoying! Not sure if it does, maybe someone can confirm here. It doesn't seem to fit any higher or lower than the Powerparts one but I can't confirm without trying the screen

Damn I didn’t think of that, could of had hours of fun. The spacers were for the ‘prongs’ at the bottom so you could adjust how close you had it to the headlight. Thought you would look at the touratech website for the instructions, they don’t send anything out with instructions anyhow what sort of man are you needing instructions. The youth of today don’t know they are born…… instructions indeed….next thing you will be needing adaptive cruise control to ride.😂
😂😂😂 yeah to be fair after an hour of dicking around with it, I got it to fit, then thought to myself "Don't Touratech do online instructions now" haha! It fits so that's all that matters haha

Hi thanks for the video..did you feel any vibration while riding it at high speed …? I like it over the original KTM because easy to clean, but l wouldn’t like hearing vibrations all the time ..l ride mostly on road and not slow..😬🤭🫢Thanks
Not from the headlight guard! Try to put it closer to the headlight and tighten it up again. Worth checking your mirrors aren't vibrating too, I know that happened with mine!
did your ktm protector rub anywhere? mine has rubbed on the metal heat sink just above the radar and taken the paint off 🫤
Oh that's crap!! No mine hasn't thankfully, but I can see how it would. Does it contact the headlight? I'd be tempted to take it to KTM and say it's happened from the KTM specific part
it's not touching normally but I think it's flexing whilst riding
I dont think mine flexes at all from what I remember. Definitely done up tight enough up the top etc? I'd still be tempted to go to KTM. They shouldn't sell a product to protect your bike which damages your bike... maybe there's a manufacturing issue on that guard
