Broke My Gear, Sand In Everything!! Hawaii Offshore Kayak Surf Launch Fumble, Landing Fail!

Wind and surf forecast looked perfect all week after a week of high winds and I could hardly wait. Arrived at launch site and right away I could see the bigger waves rolling in under the full moon light. I also noticed that the sand slope down to the water was higher and steeper than usual, and the good size shore break that carved it out, so landing and pulling the heavy kayaks up was going to be difficult. We decided to go for it....
