Hey guys, thank you for checking out my latest episode w/ Andy! It’s hard not to admire a historian who has dedicated the last 2 decades of his life searching far and wide for the truth on such an insane moment in time like this. My next episode is gonna be another fun one too. I spoke w/ Mark Bunker, who has spent the last 30 years exposing Scientology and its dark cult underbelly. Thank you to all of you who have been sharing around the show on social media and w/ your friends -- it’s been an enormous help. Julian, I love your content man! Please consider trying your best to bring on someone who is well versed in communism, Marxism, socialism, maybe someone who lived through it. I know there are plenty of people out there doing their rounds. The world, specifically the US, right now, needs to hear their stories, how it happens, and how to stop it. It's a slippery slope. God bless.
When y'all show some pics or something on the screen like a map I'm sure we can handle not seeing you for like 15 seconds while we take a look at the map instead of not being able to see half of it because your two camera feeds are eclipsing half the thing you're showing 🙄
I find that so surprising you never knew about Roanoke, with as many topics your familiar with I surely thought this was one of them. Love your podcast so much, thank you for all your hard work!
Maybe you can help me. I've been trying to find an episode of Danny Jones where he's talking to some guy that worked on a bunch of secret national defense projects. He was white, had a dark blue blazer on and a white shirt, his voice was hoarse and there was a brief moment towards the end where Danny mentions project blue beam and the guy said something about ionizing particles in the air but he couldn't get into it. I've looked at every thumbnail trying to find the guest but I can't. I think it was when it was still called koncrete
Being from North Carolina, this is required knowledge for every middle school kid. It’s amazing to me that many Americans don’t know about our first colony!

Am I the only one that wishes more people watched/listened to legit podcasts like this more than aimless scrolling on social media platforms? I really do think that if at least one person in every household tuned in to shows like this we might see a beneficial turnaround with society.
Half the problem is females caught in the like, scroll loop. Those are future mothers with no ambition to learn anything even if it directly benefits themselves. They shut down when they dont know something and just move on.
When you put it that way, it actually seems feasible! I just got a tv for my living room. I’m going to start watching my yt vids on it and hope it catches my teens’ interest.
This has been one of my favorite episodes so far. Everyone else has all of these theories about things that seem so unbelievable but this gentleman has done so much research and doesn't speak in certainties. Very informative and enjoyable.
Im from "The Lumbee Tribe" N.C. My Family have stories about Our Ancestors and Roanoke and my grandmothers/ancestors went to Croatan normal school in Pembroke nc We lost most of our history due to evils that seem too happen throughout history on every continent but we are still here We have several last names in our tribe from that list of as well as first names of women and men Through generations which is ironic too me and Ive been researching this for years due too our history and oral history in our families of The lost colony! We are HERE.❤
"We lost most of our history due to the evils that seem to happen throughout history on every continent" Human nature has savage components to it.. "Evil" I guess on how you define it. That fact that you can acknowledge that this has happened to every group of people on every continent throughout history gives me hope that you don't embrace a "Victim mindset" that is used to appease and psychologically cripple people from adapting and progressing in society. It is sad what has happened to all humans ancestors at one point or another and It's awesome that you value the unique history of your ancestors and take an interest learning about.
You are just killing it!!!.. The colony of Roanoake is one of those enigmas that took a while to figure out and your guest is THE expert on it..an amazing part of our early history that often gets overlooked, i lived in Yorktown for a while and was fascinated with the history..and lets not overlook the contribution of Alessi on this..without him bringing this to the table we ALL would have missed out on a fantastic episode..nailed it!
Look at the evidence: they had moved the colony in an orderly fashion and nothing was disturbed. No sign of violence or battle. No death, nothing. They had left the name of the island they went to, as agreed. John White and the others then came back and found the name of the island carved in the tree. John White wrote that he was happy the others had gone to Croatoan Island because they had friends among the natives there. He and the rest of the party then left without needing to look any further. It's pretty clear cut. The settlers moved to Croatoan Island and the other party was content with that and left. There's no enigma here.

Ty for this. Although I was already very much aware of this story. Or historical event. Personnally I felt like this was common knowledge,But my mother was a highschool teacher so I tend to know a lot about history that many dont. So ty for spreading the word
Older than Plymouth Rock. Looking forward to the Amazon adventure videos ! Made it safe and sound to San Bartolo and was cool to talk and hang with You on the flight to Lima. Surprised We didn’t talk about Manteo…. MHS class of 89’ rules lol😅
People talk about the colonists being bad people, should’ve met the Spanish. This guy does a pretty good job speaking respectfully about their atrocities
It is wild how history is cherry picked. People leave out so much. ALL of the people at that time, including the Indians and the natives to Mexico were relentless to people. Similar thing happens with 1940s era. You only hear about a certain German but not much about arguably worse dictators in Russia and China.
Just watched on Spotify, really interested to find out one of the guys Was from Cornwall as that's where I'm from, love your work man thanks for another great episode

Thank you! Great show as always. Second one i watched today!
Would love to see Andy Powell colonial history channel! I had heard of the mystery but never would've known someone had all this info without that sick ep. Cheers dude!
Love the pod! Mirror that TV to the corner of the video when you're using it for an example and your golden pony boy.
❤ Been looking forward to this episode AND it sounds like I'll be doing the same with the episode coming up re Scientology. *Wow Julian!* You rock! ...showin' my age with that one😂. But oh well you've turned me into a fan of your show! ❤💕👍🏻

Thank you so much man - that is a wild compliment 🙌💯
Excellent video. Thanks guys.
Ty for this. Although I was already very much aware of this story. Or historical event. Personnally I felt like this was common knowledge,But my mother was a highschool teacher so I tend to know a lot about history that many dont.
So ty for spreading the word
This guy’s a triple threat, great interviewee, knowledgeable about a fascinating subject, and sounds just like Michael Caine.
Keep it up Julian 🎉
Will do Matt! 🫡💯
Julian we NEED a Native American episode
YES WE DO…i want the “Blood & Thunder” author
@@JulianDorey Colin Woodard could be a good one too
@@ginocolombo9651 Colin will be getting an episode on the podcast in a month or 2 (done deal already) - great guy!
@@JulianDorey Can't wait for that one!
Sounds interesting
Popping in for a comment, awesome and unique guest & episode!
Older than Plymouth Rock. Looking forward to the Amazon adventure videos ! Made it safe and sound to San Bartolo and was cool to talk and hang with You on the flight to Lima. Surprised We didn’t talk about Manteo…. MHS class of 89’ rules lol😅
Really great fact filled episode. Enjoyed
Great show!
wonderful, original and fascinating
Fascinating!
This was an awesome episode, what an interesting story.
Learned about this in school in North Carolina
This guy is amazing and a true historian and tells a story the way it should be told. Please start a channel. PPPPPlease.
Looking forward to a movie about this story it would be pretty cool
I love your show, always interesting content
