- Clue 7 of Cotton Cuts Puzzle Mystery Quilt is HERE! I am making the small quilt using the Funnel Cake fabric line. In this tutorial, I will show you how to make the block with some tricks and tips along the way.
Cotton Cuts asked me to be one of the ambassador for the Fall 2023 Puzzle Mystery Series Carnival! How exciting! Although this session not longer available, there will be a new one starting soon! Here's the information about it:
Next Puzzle Mystery Quilt Theme is Tree of Life. Click here for the color options currently available: www.cottoncuts...
If you are interested in seeing months 1-6, here is a playlist: • 🔎 Carnival Puzzle Myst...
Here's how it works if you choose to sign up for it:
➡️ You will receive a "clue" (fabric kit) each month with pre-cut coordinating fabrics. Easy and stress-free!
➡️ Each month you will make a "puzzle piece" (quilt parts, blocks, etc.).
➡️ At the end of the 10 months, you will put these pieces together to make a quilt! How cool is that?

I couldn't do a project like this to save my life but it is fun to watch you do it! Also, nice color combo. I am getting more and more fond of the gold/amber/butternut color range. They go so well with so many colors and provide kind of a warm glow!
Thank you, Kris, for another enjoyable video. Happy sewing!
Thank you so much! I am liking it more and more, too. I am excited to see how it comes out. 🥰
Awesome job
Thank you! ❤️
♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for the love! 🥰
Hi Kris. Your PMQ pieces are looking really good. I like your scrappy versions just as they are. That tan printed background looks just fine with the colors you chose, almost like a reproduction quilt from the 1860's. Thanks for sharing! ~~ Lynne
Oh, thank you so much, Lynne! I haven't changed it yet. I am going to wait to see how it looks when it is together. It does look like a reproduction, doesn't it? I didn't notice! That's so cool! Thank you!
I really like the colors you chose for your scrappy blocks! I can’t remember, are you using the same fabrics for those each month or are they all just similar shades?
One day I want to get as organized as you are!
Thank you! I am using the same color, but not the same fabric, if that makes sense. 🥰 Thanks, Fallon!
On the scrappy block you think is wrong, I just got a quick look, but I think you sewed your half square triangles in the wrong direction. Not sure, so check and let us know. What you are doing looks so complicated for my brain. You are brave. It is coming out beautiful. Can’t wait to see the completed quilt.
Oh, thank you! It is so easy to get them turned. I will look at it. I appreciate this!
It is tricky, for sure, but the directions are also very good. I can't show them on camera because they aren't my patterns, but if you saw them, it would make more sense. I can't wait either! I hope they send the ambassadors the finishing instructions soon! 😆
😄❤❤❤
Thank you! 🥰
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure! Thank you for watching! ❤️
Goodness Kris, there are quite a few blocks now. I like your scrappy version just as it is. Looks good to me. Have you put all the blocks you have made now out together and tried to see how they might all go? I'm curious.
I am anxious to see how it all comes together! So true! There are a lot of blocks. I haven't put them all on the design board yet because I don't want to mix them up. 😆 I am not sure how they let us know the layout, so I am currently keeping them together with the respective month. I should go through and pin the clue number to them and try laying that out. It would be interesting to see!
@@SewtheDistance Oh yes, I see what you mean. Perhaps then it would be best for us to just all wait and see.
I always look forward to your Clue videos! Your tips are really helpful. I guess my mail is slow because I haven't received my Clue #7 yet. 😒
Thank you! I am glad you like them! Hopefully your clue arrives soon!
your scrappy block looks warm and cuddly. I do not think the gold is too dark at all! (Just in case I can encourage you to proceed as you have begun).
Oh, thank you so much! I am going to wait to see how it comes together before changing it, if I change it. 😃 Thanks for watching and for sharing!
I am waiting on my clue, usually here by now as was shipped on the 25th.
Oh wow! I hope it arrives soon!
No, please don't remake your scrappy blocks; the colours are fine. You seem so busy, you don't need to make more work for yourself. Thanks for sharing. ❤👍from Somerset UK
I agree. I think it looks great.
Oh thank you! You are probably right! I have so many other things i need to do. If I don't like it when it is all put together, I will change it then. Thank you!
