Same. Why i enjoy other games more wow made such a huge impact on my life. I remember having it on a pendrive and i took care of it like frodo took care of my ring. It was my precious after all. No pun intended.
My friends and I meet for cards every Tuesday night. It's winter here and I put this on the TV in the background. Everyone thought it was awesome. Love your vids, great work on this under-appreciated music.
6:22 Totally forgot that this tune was from WoW. It has randomly popped into my head a hundred times over the last decade and finally hearing it again here was a nice feeling.
The company might do some controversial triple A shenanigans, but Blizzard's sound design and music team are unarguably amazing. Just listening allows you to notice so many things about it that sort of just fall to the back of your mind when you play. Close your eyes and listen, you can hear: - The chatter of various different WoW races _(nasally voices of female gnomes, the lighter voices of female elves, the reserved middle-toned voices of human males, the nasally, but also raspier/scratchier voices of what i can only imagine are goblins, a few exhales here-and-there, and listening carefully you can hear the boisterous, hearty laughter of orcs, tauren, and other heavy-set races occasionally echoing in the background)._ Notice how the heavy voices are always playing nebulously in the background while the more present, closer voices have a very different cadence and timing to them. Not only does this give the effect of multiple conversations happening throughout a tavern, but it does allude to the layered nature of the audio - each set of conversations sound like they have their own layer and track time they're playing on. - The clatter of dinner plates - The rattle of various glasses filled with iced drinks (they recorded several different sounds of this too) - Occasional footsteps, some sound like lighter feet shuffling quickly across a stone floor, some sound slower across the same stone floor, while others sound like much heavier feet with slower footsteps, creaking the wooden floorboards with each step, the sound reverberating and revealing the hollow nature of the floor, which hints at a basement of some kind below. (isn't it amazing just how fucking much you can tell about an environment from the sound of a footstep? Blizzard does this a LOT in WoW. Different textures & materials have different footstep sounds to them.) - Occasionally the ambient voices change from simple light conversation, to various forms of cheering. First just disjointed hooraying, clapping & laughter, then for a few seconds, a more unified chorus of chanting. If you play the game, then you know that humans, elves, and gnomes are on opposing factions from goblins, orcs, and tauren. Normally they are enemies. So then, hearing all these voices in one place can only mean this tavern is in a town or city based on neutrality where all races and creeds leave their grudges at the door and get drunk and merry together. It could even be at a crossroads or well-traveled/populated area -- and it would have to be to get all those visitors! Blizzard was able to convey that much information with just voices, dishes, and footsteps. *_Voices. Dishes. And Footsteps.* Take notes people, if you know what you're doing, you can tell an entire story about a location just through ambiance. Props to Blizzard for this. What's even cooler is that the ambience changes depending on the inn. A neutral inn like this sounds different from a dwarven or kul'tiran inn. Wait til you hear the pirate inns.
The movement does make the videos come alive and make you unique in a way. This one is the perfect example. It feels like you're not alone, you're there! Leaning against the fire in a cold night inside a crowded tavern.
This brings me back on my adventure days. The amount of hours spend in front of fires like this while I shared my stories with a bunch of strangers. When digital worlds were stronger and more believeble than the "real world". So many fond memories lived in that universe. And this music was always with me, and invited me to stay. Now I use it while I draw and always makes me smile. Thank you for this!
As I stand by the fire, gazing in it's core, a blazing fire, heating the once cold wooden floor of the Black Stag in, in to a warm delight to my feet, I begin to think... is this 'quest' so worth it? I have come down to Gilneas, far away from Strom. The Marshal wanted me to meet some people for the assignment his majesty gave me concerning something I still don't know. He told me 'they' would explain. As I waited, with a mug of ale in my hands, my steel sword at my side and my red chain-mail armor on me, covered by a black cloak, to divert - some - attention from me, for Gilneans liked to eye tourists to their lands, I looked away from the warm flames of the fire place and over to the other denizens. There were many maid, for there were many Guards, done with their shifts and drinking in delight. There were travelers, coming here to the bay to go to the new lands, recently colonized by the King's cousin house Menethil, called 'Menethil Harbor'. The land was fought over before I was even born, against a Wildhammer and Bronzebeard Alliance, but even though the King wanted to colonize the marsh of the Wetlands, he accepted the lands of the Western Wetlands, and made House Menethil build their Harbor there. Anyway, then, I saw two dwarves, Quel'dorei and a Human, in Strathian armor, enter. They looked around and one of the dwarves, with a bronze-like beard, curled and braided, held together by various irons like silver and copper, even gold. He had a hood over his head, so the dim light of the candles didn't let me see his face. We met eyes, of course, and the dwarf led the others to me. "Are ye Captain Lyonel o' tha' Sons o' Arathor Home Guard?" Asked the same dwarf, as they finally got to me. "Aye." This answer gave the two dwarves a smile, a searching peer from the human and a scoff from the Quel'dorei. "So you're tha' lad we're supposed tae meet? Figured so, a pretty boy like yerself should be in such a recognisable force, aye. The Shield of Strom and the King! Pwah. I was in tha' war what yer KIng started. Lost me brotha's the--" The second dwarf, one with a black beard, as well braided, but held together with only silver and raw iron ornaments said, his face also covered, was stopped by the human, wearing the Strathian Honour Guard armor, with a pat on his shoulder. "Please, not now Gerthud... Hail, my name is Aleksandricus du Nares, Strathian Honour Guard. The elf is of the Kirin Tor, Ferren Sanguinesung. The rude dwarf is Gerthud Hammerstrong and this is his older brother and leader of the hammerstrong clan, Himli." The elf bows, the dwarves nod, except from Gerthud, and Aleks salutes, lightly, doing it in an instant. I stand up and salute, myself. "Lyonel Stromborne, Sons of Arathor... So, what's this about?" The four look between each other and the elf coughs, saying in an elegant voice, as all elves do. "Four months ago, the colony of Stormwind, ruled by House Sigmar, went dark. The Colony was made about two years after the landing of Menethil Harbor, and it is common for colony's to go dark, so far away from your King's lands. But not this one. House Sigmar, just like House Menethil, is a cousin house, and was giver plenty of ship and weapons and resources to choke out any wildlife that is hostile and make a foot hold. They were even with a trade agreement with a bay called Booty Bay, a trade hub in the South." "The point is, lad," Himli continued "the Dark Irons went dark too... Booty Bay isn't sayin' anytin' and no scout going down through tha' Steppes has returned... It may be a threat we haven't faced before, the South of Khaz Modan and on wards is full of wild life and unknown jungles and lands. There be nothing that may show that tha' colony might've had a good going with the unknown lands for even 20 years, lad, even - with - the resources." "So, why come to me and tell this? Why not take our armies and march down?" "We tried." Gethrud said, glaring at me. " 700 loyal men to tha' King under tha' Mountain, found dead almost 6 months after their send out. No survivors." "Sailing?" I asked, looking at Aleks, and he shook his head. "Storm Season. For about a couple more years. We can't take a naval fleet down South, even by hugging the coast... Only one ship at a time can reach down." "Our plan is," started the elf again " to take one ship, with a expendable crew, go to Booty Bay and figure out what in Arcane's name is going on." I looked at all four of them and nodded... " well then... Let's go save the Empire." (This is part 1 of my story for your ambience videos. Ahhh memories! WoW is so special to me, especially the music is fantastic and It's honestly one of the reasons why I want to play the game :) But right now I got my midterms and It's impossible for me to play.. So what I do is I listen to your WoW playlist for hours while I study. Thank you so much for making these videos, they're very lovely.
This makes me happy to hear but sad at the same time, so many memories in these taverns and the whole game itself, I’m grateful to have had the chance to play this game🙏🏼
So much memories are back in my head when I hear these delightful sounds, back when I was a child, playing WoW and enjoying all of its wonders. What a game.
Yep, this music hurts my soul. Nostalgia. In the past, as a child, I had nothing to fear or worry about. I had everything és everyone I needed. I had fun playing this game, more than anything that time. If only I could relive those moments as a whole.. only for a minute.. Thanks Blizzard and Music composers, developers, you made something unspeakable.
Tales around the fire, of days come and gone. Of heroes brave and the wars they waged, to the tall tales of hunters and the sermons of the Light. What a time it was, a time with friends old and new, and friends not yet met. We grasp at those times now past, our sight darkened by longing for days now long set. But lift we the shroud of memory, and grasp the here and now, our days would seem the lighter. For all brothers and sisters are we, gathered 'round the fire.
i remember standing on the roof of the tavern in goldshire thinking i was the shit because there was no flying mounts back then and you had to jump in certain spots to get to the roof. once there, this music started playing and i always set camp fires to sit and chills with other players.
I have listened to this multiple times over the months along with a few other medieval songs while doing homework and it's so perfect! I tend to fall asleep if I read for school but this helps me stay focused and awake! Love it!
I had a friend pull all the music from WoW from everywhere as well as the background sounds from all zones, so I already have all this on my HD...somewhere, lol! However, it's lovely to have this conveniently on UA-cam as well. It's lovely quality too! Good work! Thanks for providing this to the fans of WoW. It's greatly appreciated!
This works scaringly well.. I've done nothing but just sit and think with this running in the background for the past half an hour, and it's amazing! So cozy! Thanks for uploading it! :D
This game has the potential to become so much more immersive. My early memories remind me of a sense of immersion because of the gigantic community. But listening to the ambience in this track, there is so much room for improvement in the game. I can hear a gnome in the background slightly intoxicated flirting with another. I hear deep male humans conversing, the clashing of mugs being brought out to the adventurers, all of this contributes to an immersive environment. BRING THIS TO LIFE BLIZZ!
Played from 2007-2019. I just can't force myself to go back to it. It all feels like such a lifetime ago. WoW was not a game for me, as I believe I can say for many of us; WoW was apart of our lives. It made such an impact and it was so brilliant, entertaining. I sometimes wonder where are all of the thousands of people I met through those years. It felt like such a real world. Sad that the game's devs are so different than the ones we had in the youth of its prime.
This is the music you hear when you've been grinding for hours and it's late, and you finally decide to hang up your hat for the night and join the rest of the world in sleep... This is also the music you hear when you log back in, ready for another day of exploration and wonder.
Everness, This goes so well with The forgotten realms. I'm using this for my session and it makes a wonderful addition to tavern moments. Thank you so much for your effort and time in editing and making this! Keep inspiring the mind! - DM Meklow
Thank you 🙏❤🙏 for the fantastic video 🎥 with the peaceful music and ambience. 🎶 I'm totally relaxed. I am very happy. Well done, I subscribed to your UA-cam channel. I look forward to many new interesting videos from you. I wish you a lot of energy for new videos.❤❤❤
Downright masterpiece, you should make another wow tavern music and ambience video this way we have a few to alternate between while we game. I love having this in the background its so peaceful and chill yet adventurous and then you add the chitter chatter, the clanking of drinks, the laughs and yells, the fire crackling.... the only thing I can think of thats missing might be hearing some people dueling outside lol
It was incredible to see the passion and dedication you have for piano music shine through in your performance tonight. Thank you for inspiring us all.
Reminds me of a time when WoW storytelling was more about a world full of adventure and suspense rather than playing a role in events that makes you feel like you're a plot armored superhero in a saturday morning cartoon with over the top music in the background.
Everness just wanted to say thank you. I just got some really fucking hard news that's... kinda rough. Really was just down in the dumps, sat in front of my computer with an evening free with no motivation to do anything other than feel sorry for myself. On a whim I turned on some of your WoW playlists and my spirits lifted instantly hearing this classic stuff mixed together so well. Thanks man, this channel is a real treasure.
Thank you! I'm glad I could be of use. I hope you will find a way to get out of this situation, or will have enough strength to live through it. I believe in you!
I just discover your youtube channel. this this what I searched during long time : not simple loops of music with many hours duration but musics with a bit work for can be listen during long days of work. Thank you !!!
Blizzard can rerelease classic as much as they want, but they can never make it 2004 again. But maybe time machines do exist, because for moment you can listen to this and be transported back in time
Ah the good ol days when we would travel the land killing monsters for coin, fighting each other in battlegrounds and slaying dragons in large raids and taking a stop at the inn for the rested xp boost and a chance to chill with friends while not in a major city. now we're out here killing gods like its a normal tuesday. where did it go wrong.
Everness you are awesome! I can sleep relaxed on some of your videos, and this trully is something special on youtube! One amazing video that makes me play WOW again when i listen to it, and the quality is very good.
I was like : Okay, another game soundtrack video........but this is soooo catchy ! I found myself listening the whole video while studying, i didn't even focus on the music for a single minute, this is an amazing background music !
Everness, just found your channel not too long ago. Subbed. This brings back WAY to many feel good memories. WOW has had an immense impact in my life and I treasure these memories. Thank you for making this and putting the work into this to bring it to us.
Thank you SO MUCH for creating this. The ambience (with music) loops make the drudgery of work bearable. This is so much better than the loud frenetic war music that dominates the rest of the wow compilations. I feel like I'm working on my laptop in an Azeroth tavern!
I just love all of this. Has anyone noticed that the opening piece of music sounds just like the throne room music (towards the end, with the feast where the princess is about to be sacrificed) in the film Conan the Destroyer?
My first character, a Gnome Warlock on a german private server. Seeing the snowy planes of Dun Morogh, and then traveling to Goldshire with the train. God i miss these days.. Seeing everything the first time with no loading screens. One and only true love: WOW!
This is just awesome! The flaming fire gives the cozy feeling. The ambience smooths the heart and the music relaxes the soul. Well done :) I especially like how the fire looks in-game. Which also brings the WoW feeling and the fantasy dream altogether!
I don't even play World of Warcraft, but I love these ambiance tracks from open world games. There's another UA-camr who makes these for Skyrim with video running in the background, so you actually see people walking around, making the ambiance feel even more realistic. EDIT: Haha, turns out the other UA-camr who makes the Skyrim videos is also Everness!
Oh yeah, I think I know the guy. Infrequent uploads? Extremely talented and devilishly handsome? An okay person all around is what I've heard. But you can never trust the rumors, so who knows really.
I just want to say, thank you for your upload, I've been listening to this for a while now(a year or two easily). Without it I probably wouldn't have made it through school lol I don't even play WOW but this is perfect to help keep me focused while doing homework, reading, or studying!
Crying listening to this.. Remembering coming back home, at the Lion's Pride (Aubrege de la Fierté du Lion, not sure how to say in english) after a hard day leveling up Xaina, draenei, warrior, and rest in a bed waiting for the next connection
This is just awesome. I can't even find the words to describe how cool this is. This can either relax you, or take you to deep thought. Just where ever you want it to. Great job, thanks for sharing with the world.
This tavern, which I visit every night. This tavern, which keeps me alive. Fire burning like the fire in my soul. Physical pain through glorious battles- but the mental pain of loved ones is what makes the pain at all. It is I, Prodigy, the lonely adventurer, who came here. This fire near me creates a peaceful feeling- the warmth of a home, a sweet house with food and everything set to create a good night. I shall thank every one here, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers.
As I started to listen to this I felt the need for a drink and grabbed a good can of beer, haha. Memories of the good old days of WoW come back now and then. :)
Well 5 years ago, when a was 10 i wasn't subbed, so i played the free version of it and i remember i was a hunter worgen stuck at level 20 and i spent all my time in goldshire rp'ing and chatting with people, good times :'(
A cold Tankard of Beer, a fine Glass of WIne, Crispy, juicy Meat, fresh Bread and tasty Vegetables, Bards are playing in the corner and the hosts are listening to Burps of the drinking Folks, Laughing, Singing, Crying and wallowing in Memories and Stories of the old Days... In some Pints and Taverns of Reality just the same nowadays
I'm not sure I can think of another game that impacts on me quite as much as WoW music. Instant good feels.
Same. Why i enjoy other games more wow made such a huge impact on my life. I remember having it on a pendrive and i took care of it like frodo took care of my ring. It was my precious after all. No pun intended.
Have you tried fable: The Lost Chapters?
I still have the game! I've had it since 2006 or 2007! Still play!
I won fable two times already since the beginning of last year. Nostalgia made me buy it and play it.
TenakaKhan1981 I've never even seen gameplay of this game but i use it to help with all nighters lol
Today's menu:
Breakfast: Curiously Tasty Omelet and Thistle Tea;
Launch: Dragonbreath Chilli with Thunder Ale;
Dinner: Crocolisk Gumbo with Ice Cold Milk.
That dinner will definitely make your night less... Restful.

Next Day morning in the toilet......Curiously Cold Thunder poo, Dragonbreath Thistle fart and Ice Crocolisk pee......

Wot why is that so underrated
This music deserves a well-thought-out, long-form analysis like this.
yo ash, you could make a video about this comment you wrote 5 years ago, about the sound design of wow tracks! really great comment

This is just perfect for my D&D campaign... Like most of your videos. Glad I've found this channel. :D I absolutely love your content.
Man, I miss role-playing in WoW so much ! Thank you for reminding me of the good old days :D
I didn't know how much i needed this... I've been really stressed recently but this really helped me calm down and feel better... thank you so much
i remember standing on the roof of the tavern in goldshire thinking i was the shit because there was no flying mounts back then and you had to jump in certain spots to get to the roof. once there, this music started playing and i always set camp fires to sit and chills with other players.
PS: you now have another subscriber. :)

Thanks for giving these Warcraft Tavern songs justice. The ambiance, to me, add to them :D
Everness,
This goes so well with The forgotten realms. I'm using this for my session and it makes a wonderful addition to tavern moments. Thank you so much for your effort and time in editing and making this! Keep inspiring the mind!

I love this! It's the perfect music for making everyday magical! Thank you!
You're welcome! /casthappiness
sounds like a fun time with friends and strangers alike, it's beautiful.
You are afk.
Cheers

It was incredible to see the passion and dedication you have for piano music shine through in your performance tonight. Thank you for inspiring us all.
At least the NPCs sound like they're all having a good time together.
I'll be back for Classic!
Hell YEAH
How are you enjoying classic? :D
@@amisupreme6264 classic is dead XD
Reminds me of a time when WoW storytelling was more about a world full of adventure and suspense rather than playing a role in events that makes you feel like you're a plot armored superhero in a saturday morning cartoon with over the top music in the background.
All the memories!
It's time to code some PHP again and what place better to do so than an Azeroth tavern. ;)
and here i'm solving fluid mechanics problems in azeroth HAHA
wasn't php a gnomish language?
php is not an language
Love this music! also the sounds of talking, money, plates, and sliverware makes it amazing!
This is the kind of ambiance that warm me up without any heating on
Thank you so much love this ambience ! I go to an inn just for that cozy and relaxing music and ambience ! ;)
I just discover your youtube channel. this this what I searched during long time : not simple loops of music with many hours duration but musics with a bit work for can be listen during long days of work. Thank you !!!
Blizzard can rerelease classic as much as they want, but they can never make it 2004 again. But maybe time machines do exist, because for moment you can listen to this and be transported back in time
Thank you for this! Its the perfect audio backdrop for my D&D sessions!
One of the main reasons for making these videos, glad to hear that!
It is great how people gets into a fight and then everything is in calm after that. This video is great
Ah the good ol days when we would travel the land killing monsters for coin, fighting each other in battlegrounds and slaying dragons in large raids and taking a stop at the inn for the rested xp boost and a chance to chill with friends while not in a major city.
now we're out here killing gods like its a normal tuesday.
where did it go wrong.
Yep, definitely using this as part of my D&D playlist.
Everness you are awesome! I can sleep relaxed on some of your videos, and this trully is something special on youtube! One amazing video that makes me play WOW again when i listen to it, and the quality is very good.
+Catalyz0r Much appreciated. Reading comments like yours makes it all even more rewarding.
WoW uses a LOT of cultural references, so that wouldn't be a surprise if they copied that music.
My first character, a Gnome Warlock on a german private server. Seeing the snowy planes of Dun Morogh, and then traveling to Goldshire with the train. God i miss these days.. Seeing everything the first time with no loading screens. One and only true love: WOW!
WOW...the only time in my entire life where I actually wanted to BUY video game music. Nicely done, Blizzard...
you bring me into the situation that i always wanted to be in, thankyou
i have a dream, to build my own WoW themed Bar
When Zuckerberg threw billions of dollars to develop his metaverse and got nothing, WoW players already hanged out in Azeroth for years.
This is just awesome! The flaming fire gives the cozy feeling. The ambience smooths the heart and the music relaxes the soul. Well done :) I especially like how the fire looks in-game. Which also brings the WoW feeling and the fantasy dream altogether!
yes! thanks for this...I used to sit in the taverns and just watch and listen....very relaxing!
These uploads help me focus. Thank you for uploading all of them.
Une bonne flambée dans l'âtre, une bière dans la main, des amis d'aventures à la table, on est bien à la maison ;-)
7:25 is just amazing. Too much nostalgia.

I just want to say, thank you for your upload, I've been listening to this for a while now(a year or two easily). Without it I probably wouldn't have made it through school lol I don't even play WOW but this is perfect to help keep me focused while doing homework, reading, or studying!
You're very welcome! 🤗
I like how we have both the background ambiance and the music, a lot of them have only one or the other.
Definitely gonna use this for table top games.
Es increíble. Te sumerges en una tranquilidad inmensa mientras escuchas esto y exploras los más recónditos páramos de Azeroth.
Very nice man, just what I was looking for.
Crying listening to this.. Remembering coming back home, at the Lion's Pride (Aubrege de la Fierté du Lion, not sure how to say in english) after a hard day leveling up Xaina, draenei, warrior, and rest in a bed waiting for the next connection
Aw, I'm glad I could rekindle those feelings inside you. Even for a moment.
Also, Draenei fistbump.
Everness Fistbump ? They are so beautiful... They were, I don't like the new graphism on them ^^

I like the new looks. I'm playing as a male character though, maybe that has something to do with it...
Sure :3 Thanks, I'll look !
Beautiful and relaxing music...
Best video game ever created
Hey Everness I used this very video when i was DM'ing D&D! Thanks so much for these videos man (or women no judgments here)
Awesome to hear! Have your party enjoyed it?

This is just awesome. I can't even find the words to describe how cool this is. This can either relax you, or take you to deep thought. Just where ever you want it to. Great job, thanks for sharing with the world.
+Josh Huffines That's very kind of you, thank you!
I'm going to use this music for a quick WoW podcast project. Thanks for uploading it. :)
This is just the best.
You are a Legend! Thanks for bringing the feels back
Never played, but makes me nostalgic somehow
i need you to extend this to 6-10 hours so i can fall asleep to it. this is perfect
GORGEOUS!!! THANK YOU!!! : MERRY AND HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!!!

subbed. Love listening this while studying:)
Rick Morks you're not alone
Well next week it is time again to travel to Azeroth! So excited for WoW Classic! :)
As I started to listen to this I felt the need for a drink and grabbed a good can of beer, haha.
Memories of the good old days of WoW come back now and then. :)
Well 5 years ago, when a was 10 i wasn't subbed, so i played the free version of it and i remember i was a hunter worgen stuck at level 20 and i spent all my time in goldshire rp'ing and chatting with people, good times :'(
This helped me sleep last night! Thank you for this :)
A cold Tankard of Beer, a fine Glass of WIne,
Crispy, juicy Meat, fresh Bread and tasty Vegetables,
Bards are playing in the corner and the hosts are listening to Burps of the drinking Folks,
Laughing, Singing, Crying and wallowing in Memories and Stories of the old Days...
In some Pints and Taverns of Reality just the same nowadays
This is feels so relaxing to listen to while i study
