Trust me, I wasn't expecting this just as much as you weren't!!!! I was organizing my folder full of sheets that I have in store for future UA-cam videos, and I just couldn't find Howl's Moving Castle Theme. In my search for Howl's Moving Castle Theme, I came across a bunch of my old Zelda sheets from 2006-2007. Of course, if you know me, I had to stop and play some of this just wonderful music from Koji Kondo. Let's be real here, The Ocarina of Time, is one of the all time greatest games, EVER, and tied for first as my most treasured video game. This game was such a tremendous journey, with splendid tunes throughout, and a plot that leaves you in awe. That being said, I played through a few of these sheets I had just found, and bingo, the inspiration came. Just at that moment, I vigorously jotted down a list of Zelda pieces on a piece of paper. This would be the order of this Medley. Afterwards I quickly taped up all of the sheets, and set up my camera and lighting within 5 minutes. Within about 10 takes, this video was recorded. Now..... don't ask me how this is possible, as I don't know, but I can tell you that I knew all of these pieces very well before hand, and it was just a matter of lacing them together in a methodical, and passionate manner. It was truly a wave of unexpected musical inspiration that lead me to record the longest Medley I have ever recorded? Anyway, I really need to feed these kitties, they are bugging me (you will notice them running around in the background fighting each other!)
Please enjoy this video-- all of the support truly helps. If you like this video, share with friends!
    Your Pianist,
    Kyle Landry
P.S. It's about time for my annual run through of this game! Ahhhh!!!!

I played piano for most of my childhood and then fell away for about a
decade and lost most of my mind while I was at it. I became a raging
alcoholic, had multiple DUI's, was severely depressed and saw no way
out. I saw this video one night 2 years ago and burst into tears. Ocarina of Time is my favorite... So I bought a digital piano the next week and started
putting the pieces of my life back together. I have been a huge fan ever
since. I don't drink anymore, I got back on track, but most of all the
motivation instilled from this arrangement has brought me to the piano
every single day, sometimes for hours on end. I can't thank you enough.
Hope to see you in San Diego one day. Thanks +kylelandry

I too have had the same problems with alcohol and it has laid waste to my life and happiness. I have been a year and a half sober and I am getting my life back too. This video is such an inspiration...not necessarily to play piano, but to become great at something.

Amazing. Absolutely Amazing. I have been deployed 3 times, and within those deployments I have lost good friends. I have seen stuff most people will never see in their life. I've been to 9 different countries and experienced some beautiful and terrifying events. Even through what I've experienced, THIS is what brought me to tears. It reminds me of days when life was simple. When all I cared about was playing games and hanging out with friends. This kicked me right in the nostalgia. Kyle, I've been following your stuff since you posted the Gerudo Valley duet and I'm always blown away by your performance. If you ever have a concert in San Antonio, you can bet I'll be there.

Master Quest was better than the original imho. Though i did have to complete the original first, that shit's hard! majora's mask was personally quite easy compared to oot, you just had to manage the times you did stuff. Most of the time you had the game holding your hand right the way through, as has been the case with the more recent additions to the family.
i remember being stuck as young link, screaming at the game "WTF do i do now!!" then same again as old link in the gerudo valley. Games were pretty unforgiving back then, personally i also think they have lost something down the road. Still, OOT and MM are awesome games even by todays standards.

Robert Barlow Lol Playstation is dominating in overall console sales. What's also funny is that they remastered The Last of Us and have Killzone Shadowfall, Infamous Second Son and more. Don't get me wrong all of the Legend of Zelda games will hold a special place in my heart. But let's be honest. Nintendo is not what it used to be.

Depending on how much you practice and how consistently you play, it's definitely possible. Continue to play songs you really want to learn and that will at least challenge you, such as Kyle's arrangements. I've noticed myself improving much more when I discovered Kyle on youtube about 8 years ago. Absolutely love his style.

I wish words offered your fans, like me, a way to properly express the emotion you fill us with, and our gratitude for your taking time out of your life to do what you do for us. Though I cannot play, I have always deeply loved piano music, and my world would be dimmer without your music in it. Sooo.. I've been told that I'm very talented at piano but I always disagree. You see I can learn things on piano quickly and I can play from ear as well as memorize almost anything I play within 2-3 times of playing it. However I disagree. I think I'm really shit at piano. Why you ask? Because I don't have the patience to actually practice ever. Probably the biggest personalty flaw that has effected my entire life but its who I am. Hard work beats talent at pretty much anything. This guy clearly works hard and is talented to boot. Well done I love all your stuff and plan on listening to it as much as I can!
