I've also had to take a 3 month break of Japanese due new work, family and moving cities and I can understand it is hard! It's great you're still going!
I've played Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town in Japanese 🙂 It also has furgiana and Ive played it before so I found it a little easier. I would love to hear how you go with Olive Town! (I think I might get it)
I think Persona 3, 4, 5 would also be great games (it puts you in a Japanese high school setting so I feel you hear a lot of that level vocab, there is no furigana but there is voice).

The "passive" studying is all I can do these days. I haven't been able to discipline myself to work through a textbook since I signed up for the JLPT years ago.
I know what you mean. After spending the whole weekend immersing the textbooks feel a bit dry 😅
Oh my goodness. I remember when I used to try to learn to write Japanese properly using kanji. Takes me back. I finally gave up for good about 5 years into my studies.
Why would you say "gave up for good"? 😊
@@Seriinudesu I gave up writing kanji by hand several times as impractical but then went back to try to learn them again anyway before I finally stopped.
