@@xZouka Yeah dude, It’s a shame. Tony was a genuine good guy and nobody seems to know how he passed? Tony just lived over the hill in San Jose and were one the first bands to be signed by Fat Wrecords. I met Tony Sly at a summer snowboarding festival outside of Boulder Colorado. I'm from Santa Cruz which is 30mins away from my hometown. NUFAN wasn't big back then and it was hard to see them get 200 people paid at the Santa Cruz vets hall on a weekend. Now I reflect back on my pride and localism bullshit I could of helped them out more than I did. My company is Padded cell Productions and we've been promoting punk rock for over 30 years in my hometown of Santa Cruz. I can't get this song out of my head
I'm 19, so I'm around the same age when you discovered him (I discovered NUFAN almost a year ago; huge shame I didn't listen get into 'em for so long). This still hits hard.
I pieced that together after listening to the new album but before listening to the audiobook, and was like, "oh shit, that was the last song he played live? what the fuuuuuck". The audiobook's intense. It has each member of the band saying their part. a month or two after the album i lost a friend of mine named tony to heroin, so it was pretty fucked for me that my favorite band put out a song saying goodbye to their good friend tony. i'm pretty sure they found some pictures of tony sly and fat mike together, but i'm 99% certain that there are no pictures of me and my buddy together. best sax player i've ever known. of the few songs i remember playing with him, one of them was dead flowers. :/

I also had that exact thought when I first watched this video many years ago. I was thinking that It makes my blood boil when I'm at a show and half of the crowd is watching the show through the screen of their phone while recording it...instead of watching the wonderfulness that is going on up on the stage. But in this case, I am SO happy and grateful that someone actually recorded this. As sad as it is, they captured the conclusion of a legendary career....and sadly, they also essentially captured one of the last hours of a legendary musician's life. I can't remember exactly...but I think he died within 48 hours of this show. It is sad. But I'm glad that they were able to capture the moment.
Tony Sly Man, helluva singer. Literally my first rock band was No Use For A Name,.just because I liked the name, and I ended up loving the band. Glad I got to see him perform twice. Rest in Peace
I remember this night. I had bought my ticket in advance and drove by myself. I got Tony to autograph my cd cover (NUFAN's "More Betterness"). He seemed exhausted (this was before his performance). He didn't say a word either. He just signed it. Him and Joey both gave one hell of a concert though! He played his solo songs and NUFAN songs. I didn't know his original songs, but I sang my heart out on the NUFAN songs. Had no idea this would be his last show. Great concert. RIP Tony and thank you :)
Was this in Daytona beach? My girl said she's saw the last show he didn't but she thinks it was at beachside tavern. I found this for her and am trying piece it all together.
