I wish they would have kept the original line. When asked what Rorschach has, originally, he says, "Your hands. My perspective." There's really nothing more important to Rorschach than having his own point of view on the world, which was really accented with that line.
I love how Alan Moore was trying to portray what he thought was a radical lunatic and got upset when it turned out that Rorshach was most people's favorite character. 😂
I always liked one take on Rorscharch I heard which was to read through his detective scenes without reading his inner monologue lines, just the speech bubbles. He becomes a lunatic that everyone's terrified of wandering around and brutalising random people for no apparent reason. And yes, the original line was much better, and made more sense.

he was by far the best part of the entire movie. played the character beautifully. i thought the Dr Manhattan guy did a decent job as well. The HBO series is a way cooler cinematic adaptation of the characters however, much more in line with the themes of the comic but free to tell it’s own story.

I was a freshman in high school. This was my first rated R movie. Of course, I didn’t know that Speed and Air Force One are both rated R. But those compared to this and others; they’re pretty much high end, PG-13 movies.
I like the little things that even though Rochette is beyond messed up in the head and seen some shit…… That still seeing fucked up shit still affects him. Seeing his eyes twitch and unblinking as he watching a man gets his arms sawed up. Like he still acknowledges that the world is fucked up.
Rorschach is literally just batman without a kill rule, people always say they'd be fine fighting batman, until you realize he knows how to break every bone in your body, cause internal bleeding, hit your nerves to inflict debilitating pain, all while keeping you alive and awake
It was this kind of acting from Jackie Earle Haley that blew me away. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I liked his version of Freddy Krueger. It was this kind of brutal mind in the characters that he was able to grasp and form into this kind of amazing performance.
