Please be careful, some digital meters have different wiring. First terminal from left is for load wire from electricity company, Second terminal is for home load, third terminal is for neutral black wire from electricity company, and fourth terminal from left is for neutral wire for home connection.

Nowadays all energy meters have CT in both phase and neutral circuits. Energy recording cannot be stopped this way.

it leaks the current as per the AC current law poles reverses , need to use Advance rectifier . Also in latest meters if we do this the above mentioned leakage current is also calculated by it.
