Thank you! I have a blown unit from China that is similar, but the chips had the numbers sanded off. Mine works great, with Tesla pan cake coils, and can run large Dc motors. Adding capacitors and schottky diodes bridge gets over 378 volts DC output. Good fun! ( a copper foil output coil was a bad idea) Cheers Warren

12 V supply, 2 kilowatts will demand over 160 (!) amps. No way the clip leads can carry that much current. Nice idea, but don't believe the 2 kW. For comparison, a car starter motor draws under 100 A at 12 V.

Need to pull this to bits a little. The 'G40N60 IGBT's are rated at 625 Watts each but not your circuit. The 10K resistors are colour coded for 100K. The green choke is intended for noise supression not as a power inductor (totally different permubility). You can use any size of coil and alter the capacitors so that the resonant frequency is within the range of the IGBT's.
The 10k resistors are colour-coded correctly. The common mode choke he's using as a saturable centre-tapped inductor is demonstrably suitable - it has a high permeability core. It determines the switching frequency to a large extent.
