Im a huge serral fanboy. When i play i try to emulate 5% of what he does flailing around like a fish out of water. But there is just something about dark that is so entertaining.
Once Ricky came out I knew it was a definite victory
I love how Dark actually uses Ricky whenever he pops up.
The roaches shooting themselves in their confusion. Winter is the fucking best bro. I don't even really play the gam anymore but his commentary always. Always brightens the day.

It was very nice of Maru to constantly be out on the map. Trading marines for roaches while Dark was maxed out meant that Maru never had enough marines and Dark always had the supply to make more roaches.
It’s because Maru got behind in a couple of those games and wanted to exert pressure on Dark to limit expansions, force out units instead of drones, and discourage counter attacks, all while Zergs lack anti-air against Terran medevacs.
The problem was Dark’s defense was so on-point and was consistently a step ahead in reading Maru’s movements with impeccable Queen positioning.
Both player cards are super fkin awesome lol, love it. The Final Boss. The Man The Myth, The Maru.

I love how Maru was just getting repeatably punched in the face during the first 3/4 of game 1, even losing those medivacs to queens and he still kept calm and kept getting back up. It's like that one episode of South Park with Randy Marsh vs. Batdad. "Hey Batdad, I didn't hear no bell."
I know this comment is a month old but I actually played a zerg player named RandyMarsh on the ladder a couple days ago and it went about the same 😂

Even as a German I really enjoy your "diligence" in language and would appreciate you as official commentator. Yet, I think the same reason I enjoy your commentating (okay you humor comes before), is the reason they don't choose you: it's harder to understand you than others. Yeah people like lowko. Lezzgo.. Dark opening with a 5 roach ravager harass..in game 1 as Maru opened up in a defensice way with a marine instead of a reaper..
That 4th game at 18.5 mins felt as action packed like others that go for 45 mins.
I love the fact that winter calls SCVs "the boys". It's just a perfect way to describe them lol

Last game looked like a ladder game. Maru cuts every corner and attacks with a huge amount of marines. Dark greeds as hard as he can and then defends with bunch of larvaless, gasless queens.
I cant believe I missed this one. Life really has been getting to me. I’m here now though and happy for the casting!

Love the Warhammer reference with red is the faster colour😂. In the Warhammer universe the orks can will things into existence by simply believing it, and they believe painting things red makes them faster, so it does.

Game one coming back from 40 workers down was insane. Marines are so much better than roaches that push getting turned around was nasty.

G1, the attack at 2:30 : omg Dark respects Maru that much ? it's the first time i see him hesitating to climb a ramp. he had vision, he cleared the tanks. Maru had nothing but a bunker, 4 marines and SCVs. but more importantly, he had his aura activated ! at this moment I knew that Dark would lost the game .
Later he also missclicked and attacked his own roaches, and then he lost 4 vipers like a NA player... I think he was nervous or something
It's easy to have nerves be a deciding factor when both players are this fantastic and the games are this close

Great matchups. Don't meant to pry but are there any specific Protoss tutors you can recommend who take requests? Tried studying your low APM guides and build orders but they don't seem to help- I've still lost over 1000 MMR this year. It's beyond frustrating.

I've stuck in diamond in teams for like 3 years. The second you get to diamond 1 every player you play against is at least M2
I think many pros take students if you pay them for coaching. Even non toss pros would be able to teach toss up to GM.
Playing Random and learning builds from all races is what eventually got me to Masters, because then you know what you're actually scouting.
What match-up do you have the most problems with and what is your typical build?
There's a typo/spelling mistake in the card for Maru - ... Amur instead of what I'm presuming is supposed to be Armour (Armor U.S. spelling).
Ri-acks - take tri-barracks, but you start with reapers, so ri-acks. You could even roll your R for rriacks to give it spin

Dark is more fun to watch. Serral is only there for the win. He lacks showmanship and very often gg the game before people feel satisfied. This is why I accept he maybe the best but he isn’t the best player to watch for entertainment purpose.
