    Typically the re-inspections are done within 48 hours. That's when it's nice to know them [appraiser] you can drop silver bullets at them every now and then "please, please please, we need you to go back" The only thing I have to say about repairs is, make sure they are done. Unfortunately about 25% the appraiser goes back out and although things have been claimed to be repaired often times the work will only be half finished. So t he appraiser will have to go back a second time. Go on site and confirm the work is done for us. (Question from audience member.) "When the inspector comes back to certify the work are they going to charge? How much?" Yes re-inspection is $100. The initial appraisal is $450 and $475 on a condo. In the grand scheme it's just one of the many costs of doing business. It will get billed through escrow with all of the other closing costs. (question from audience) "It will always be $100?" Yes VA has a fixed schedule.
