    Just ordered this with both blades + the sheath. Super excited to play with it, I'm glad I was able to avoid spending $150 on my first Bali and having a crappy $40 zinc handle piece of garbage that would break after being used for a month. Super happy to support your company.

      Thanks so much 👍🏼it will ship out tomorrow for you, just give it 3 to 5 business days. I personally tune and lube them up in-house so you can flip with the trainer blade as soon as it hits your door. We are working on an updated version of this knife with spring latch and black coated blade, but the factory is dragging their feet. Hopefully we get it in stock before December 😂

    My version from you came with the black latch. It doesn't have the same pin on the bite handle side. It doesn't have the same pin on that side is it not removable?

    • @ArenaAccessories
      @ArenaAccessories  2 роки тому +1

      It is, just a slightly modified design with our latest batch. I've reached out to you via email, but for everyone else reading this - our new version with the stone-washed / black latch, required you to remove the black textured handle scale in order to get at the handle screw. It's a better design, because we are planning on adding a spring-latch version on this same frame. The springs we got were bad, so we are working with our factory to get the revised springs before releasing it on the website. If you happen to have a spare spring laying around, your knife is set up to be equipped with one :) There's a small hole in the end of the latch pin, and the other end of the spring can be mounted to the other pin inside the handle.

      @@ArenaAccessories that's cool to know. I may end up finding a spring and doing that . I was trying to make sense of what that other pin could possibly be for lol. Main reason I wanted to go latchless was because I didn't want the latch beating the blade. If it's sprung open that wouldn't be a concern. Thanks.

      That knife flips great, and has longer handles than the one in this video. Only drawback is if the pivot pins ever loosen, you will have to smack them with a hammer (on a hard surface, such as a bench vise anvil) to re-tighten them. When you get something with screw pivots, there is a little more maintenance but it also allows you to tune them up much easier. Riveted / pin pins are nice if you just want to grab and go, but over the years, they will almost always loosen up. That's why we price our riveted models cheaper. They're great to add to your collection, and still flip really nicely.

    I purchased this balisong about 3 weeks ago and i've been flipping since and enjoyed the feel of the knife. But as of about 3 days ago the pin on the blade that prevents the blade from hitting the pins in the handles fell out, and by the time I was able to notice, the blade had already hit and knocked out all of the pins on the inside of the handles, blunting the blade and leaving only one pin at the bottom of each handle screwed in to hold the handles together. The knife felt great out of the box but I would have to say that a knife that falls apart this quickly probably wasn't worth the buy

      Thread locker is key, it's important to thread lock every screw on any balisong. Message me via the website and I will see what I can do to get you back up and running. If your tang pin fell out, that should not have happened. I can get you a replacement. Thanks 👍🏼

    • @ArenaAccessories
      @ArenaAccessories  3 роки тому

      If it's riveted, you probably won't be able to remove it without sawing or dremel cutting the latch off. You don't want to pop out or ruin your handle rivets, otherwise the handle will be falling apart if it's a sandwich design. I'd need to see a photo of it to help you out further.

      Try an elastic band on the head then use your screwdriver again. But you first need to heat it up with a flame or soldering iron, to break the thread locker. Sometimes you will need to go to a t7 on a stripped t6.

      The screws should be tight, my dude. Otherwise your handle might loosen up. Be careful not to strip the heads of the screws. You can also use a little bit of heat if they won't budge easily (there is some thread locker applied at the factory, depending on where you got your knife), you can heat it over a candle, or with a small flame, but be careful.
