Hi, I used to have a standard Tenan saw. I’m proud to say I actually wore the teeth down. It was only a cheap saw to start with though. I still have my Foxtail saw, but that’s because I hardly ever use it. At the end of the day I don’t think it matters whether you have a Western saw or a Japanese one, just that it works for you. If only... I have a standard foxtail style hand saw and a tenon saw, can't really justify any more handsaws for my few projects...

@@DarrensWorkshop I'd love a precision saw for some work but I've found that a (don't hate me for this!) hacksaw can be used to make some fiddly cuts.
