I'd been working the same iron mine since I was a lad, barely able to swing a pick. 30 years have passed since then. It was a hard life, pulling the iron from the mine, refining it into steel, and selling the metal to smiths, but it was a living. I had a home, food for my family, and warm mead in the evenings. Then he came. That "dragonborn". He walked into the mine wearing a full suit of ebony armor, glowing with power. Within 10 minutes, the mine I'd worked my entire life ran dry, and I stood back and watched as he turned all the iron he'd collected into more iron daggers than you could count. As I watched him walk away with my livelihood, I asked him the only thing I could think of. "Why?". He said something about "grinding enchanting" and went on his way. And some men have the gall to call this man a hero
I very much disagree about the guilds. The fighter's guild seems dull at first, but you end up, guess what, going to war with another faction. That faction being a foreign company using tree sap like crack cocaine to soup up it's people. The dark brotherhood had unique quests all throughout, with cooler characters, a tie back to when you first started the game, and a twist that's guaranteed to make you shit your pants the first time it happens. Finally, in the fighters guild you deal with the gray fox. He's supposed to be legendary, but as you work for him, you find out that you're just dealing with another daedric artifact; the gray cowl. You also actually get to STEAL SHIT. Anyways, just my opinion, always glad to hear others, and really agree with you on the world aspect.
Oblivion is superior as a whole no contest. Skyrim feels disappointing to me. There was to much potential wasted due to bad design. Oblivion has wasted potential too but not nearly to the same extent.
The first thing I noticed in Special Edition was that Bethesda had not fixed any of the bugs that still were in the original release. Fortunately there's the Unofficial Patch but I don't think it should be needed.
Skyrim will always have a special place in my heart, as its the first game i actively stood in line to get day one and it was my intro into the elder scrolls. It gave me everything i ever wanted in a game and then some things i never thought i would enjoy like the dark brotherhood. One of my favorite parts was the bards leap, i had no idea what would happen thought i mite die lol but jumped off and get serenaded by a ghostly bard
Thank you for this. It's nice seeing another Elder Scrolls fan who didn't start with Skyrim having good things to say about Skyrim. That said, the only issue I have with your video is telling Bethesda that we'd be happy with the next Elder Scrolls game released on the same engine in a different province... But Fallout 4 pretty much proved that's not actually what people want. One of the earliest complaints about the game was that it looked too similar to previous Fallout games. Sure there were many other problems with Fallout 4 but I'm just saying, people complained about that on Day 1. I'm thinking part of the reason ES6 is taking so long is that they want to develop a new engine finally and that is probably the best reason they could actually have for such a long wait.
My problem with fans who started with Skyrim and only played Skyrim is that a fair number of them love to be twats, disregarding the opinions of long time fans or shitting on the older games and never giving them a chance because the "graphics are bad". Otherwise I have no problem with people enjoying Skyrim and Fallout 4 - yeah they're the weakest but I don't really give a donkey's arse what people prefer more. Also yeah Bethesda needs a brand new engine - souped up GameBryo isn't cutting it anymore when they've been using it since Morrowind.
Shadow Striker thats not a bug. Thats supposed to happen bal even tells you he wants you to break his soul so bring him back for more torture. But some bugs are left to be intentional such as the giants throwing you in the air.
In Oblivion, you can wield a shield, one hand weapon, and cast magic all at the same time. You can also cast magic and wield 2 hand weapons at the same time. Same in Morrowind. In fact Skyrim is the only ES game that you can't do this in. IMO it's the most restrictive out of Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim. The lack of attributes means you cant make you character any faster or more agile or stronger ect. So wood elves and khajiit now move just as well as an orc. The least amount of spells and even entire schools of magic have been removed. The least variety of weapon and armor types and class. The list of things that makes Skyrim the most restrictive ES game goes on and on, and so few ppl are willing to see the truth. I bet the next ES game has even less freedom since this is the trend since Morrowind. Less and less freedom.
Quick select is a thing in Skyrim, save weapons and spells to favorites and then you can switch between them easily. Also, magic schools weren't removed, they were compressed into less schools, I mean a lot can happen to the practices of magic in 150 years, oh and trust me, as a guy that's played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim - Morrowind is way more restrictive than Skyrim, don't kid yourself
There's a bit too much shit on Oblivion over here, I personally think many people take regular statements such as "Skyrim has better combat and quests than Oblivion" for granted and factual, whereas it's very shaky and debatable. Skyrim implemented radiant quests, and that's where it's questing system's improvements end (It was enough). The quests in Skyrim have pretty usual and unimpressive premises and few unique twists. There's just nothing to par "The brush with death" or "Paranoia", among many others. As to the guilds, there's such a weak sense of progression trough them to the point it's laughable. Whereas the guild quest lines in Oblivion were lengthy and progression trough the ranks felt very real (For instance, the Mages Guild was mostly mediocre, but the fact you had to take the recommendations to enter the University gave it a special flavor. Contrast that with becoming an archmage in Winterhold in like... what, an hour into the quest line?) As to the combat, let's say Oblivion revolutionized it for the TES series (Combat has always been terrible in these games compared to some actually entertaining action (or turn based in Morrowind's case) games. Morrowind's RNG was a laughing stock compared to Baldur's Gate's RNg and NWN's RNG, the same way DMC makes Skyrim and Oblivion look awful.) Whereas the RNG system hadn't been fully suited for the real-time gameplay experienced in Morrowind it was just worse than a more compact system Oblivion introduced. Skyrim didn't build up on it, in any way. It just made it slower, clunkier, more deliberate and with fewer options (To clarify, if in oblivion you had been an expert of blade or blunt, you could paralyze people with your side attacks or send them into knockback with a backwards power attack. That was all scrapped in Skyrim for a regular and a power attack, but that streamlining didn't make the game better, but it didn't make use of content that had been meaningful and intuitive to build upon. Also, Skyrim's magic is... meh. Shitty spell variety. You can't even make spells any longer, which strangely makes both action/combat and RPG section of the game feel very mundane.) I don't mean to trash you or anything here, but Skyrim really wasn't as revolutionary or even special as some'd have you believe. To me, it felt like another game when it came out, with a big "mediocre" written all over it. (It's still not bad tho)
The power attack do gain special abilities with the use of perks. f.ex with two-handed, you're able make your sideways power attack hit multiple enemies and your backwards power attack stun enemies.
You're actually right. and with your argument in mind, I'll admit Skyrim's combat isn't as garbage as I portrayed it to be. Still, I must admit I had been expecting much more from it.
i prefer oblivions guilds to skyrims since oblivions have a good balance of story and actually feeling like a guild while the majority of skyrims stuff feels half baked, example being the companions quest with the silver hand who are just a bunch of bandits in the game, but imagine if they were implemented like the black wood company from oblivions fighters guild, they would have been much more memorable villains
The Silver Hand are werewolf hunters, thought that was obvious, there's a theory that they were former Companions who turned on the guild after finding out about the Beastblood
12:40 hahhahahahaa NAILED THE PART.....the only thing i have to add to this review is MODS....MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS MODS ...don't be a complete idiot (IMO) and buy this on a peasant box even in you play it in 20fps 640p on PC because MODS......THIS is the best selling factor this game offers #PcModingRace
No i'm going to actually rant about skyrim. > the combat In my opinion the worst of the series it is literally just spam M1 and sometime block the only fun way to play for me was a stealth archer. > Leveling From your character getting better over time and getting unique perks you now get a skill point that can increase your damage a bit. > the guilds In oblivion or any other elder scroll game you slowly rise through the ranks by doing quest that made me feel like just a other member if the guild. While in skyrim you do a few quests and you're in the inner cirkel. Not everything has to be connected in my opinion. I like the feeling that i'm just a other person in the world. >The quest For every good one there 10 ''could you get *input item* out of this cave''. Because Bethesda sucks in writing >The bandits to civilian ratio Seriously in one cave there are bandit's than people in a city >the story In this entire game it feel like the dragons and civil war are just a after thought because it has no influents on the world I could possible get more thing but i got other things to do
Enclave grunt first off have you ever played the other elder scrolls? Morrowinds combat was gay it was super shit. You needed good weapon to actually start off well in the game.
Yes i did i even played daggerfall and battlespire. But a would say the combat did look better with 2d characters. And seriously gay? Is that the best you could think off?
Enclave grunt at the moment yes. As in gay it sucks. It was literally the worse way to play the game. It wasnt based off of skill. It was based off weapon states if it was good weapon it will hit. It was unrealistic. People always talk about immersion then act like morrowind is the best game when hitting some guy with a sword and missing 20 times and he keeps missing you is pretty unimmersive as i can get. Daggerfall was great and pretty fun and actually played realistically and didn't look like shit during combat.
Imo the most skilled based was oblivion thanks to that you can stagger. And about morrowind i never really liked it that much. The wiki like dialogue, the ''find my friend that is a few meters away from me'' quests and the game just feels so slow with everything.
Great. I’m going to see if I can get some more videos done before Christmas. Won’t have time when people are here 🙂. You know the dungeon keepers game? I have been watching someone play a game called prison architect. You make your own prison and run it, and even become a prisoner and try to escape. Not sure if it is your thing, but thought that I would mention it.
How much better the guilds are? Oblivion's guild quests were universally superior to Skyrim. Especially the Thieves' Guild. That was an absolute mess in Skyrim.
flickflack AGREED On top of that, the way you get recruited into the oblivion guilds is much more organic than how you get recruited in skyrim guilds. Like how the dark brotherhood in es4 doesn't approach you until you kill any civilian rather then a specific woman in an orphanage in es5.
@flickflack - Excuse me? Were you watching the video at all? TR stated that the Thieve's Guild questline in Oblivion wasn't as connected as the one in Skyrim, I've played both games and he's right about that, other than what the Gray Fox tells you to do, nothing in Oblivion's TG questline makes up a story @Ay_JL, Um you do realize that in Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood you are kidnapped for stealing a contract kill, and have to repay that debt by killing someone else, then you are offered a spot with the guild
@Grungy Exactly Brynlof waltzing up to you practising you to join the thieves guild. It is insulting and antithetical to the supposed premise of the game. The game does that all the time. Skyrim is not a rpg but a action game with minimal rpg elements.
Have to say... argonians just got their asses safed by the magical God-Trees of Black Marsh. Not really the argonians, who are bad ass, but there drugs. :P
I’ve played 200 hours of Skyrim, now bored of it completely after 2 full playthroughs and yet I can’t remember any of the quests... yet I’m still interested in Oblivon with thousands of hours of several full playthorughs and I remember all of the quest names and experiences even after taking a long break. Why is Oblivion committed to my memory and Skyrim isn’t? I have many hours in both and I can’t remember a single moment in a guild quest on Skyrim??
To me Skyrim is like that hot babe with a little bit of muscle and she is young and you have great sex but you prefer her older sisters who you can talk with for hours without end.
Ay_JL It depends. Its a buggy mess but i just love it. You really feel like on an adventure and its reaĺy unforgivibg if you go unprepared. Its another sandbox game by Bethesda basicly with many options they took out for better or worse though imo its for worse. The only things you need are imagination and patience....and reading the wiki to make it a bit less stressful
Oblivion exists? Holy shit, I forgot all about that game! Oh, that's right. It was the game in between the two games that actually matter. (Jk, i actually like all 3 games).
Hey true review I don't know if you have played DRV3 but if you did what were your thoughts on it. Mostly thoughts on the ending since I've seen a lot of people saying the ending was shit. Also great video man.
I've just gotten a hold of it on Steam. Already decided on my next video but DR3 will either be after that, or the one after that... if that makes sense. And thanks for the kind words.
Im trying something horrendously painful, im trying to 100 this game on ps3 without any quests, shouts, items, abilities, markers, anything breaking, i just got to 48 fucking hours... And i got the glitched shouts for drain vitality... The saves are too far back and too many for me to figure out where i can load in to fix it now, this is the FOURTH TIME RESTARTING!!
I love skyrim. But i not really into morrowind even tho its my first elder scrolls. Skyrim had tons of good quests. Morrowind combat was just shit and animations was stupid. Oblivion was actually great game. I probably loved the shivering isles the beat fucking dlc ever to happen to the gaming world.
You could've went really deep on the thieves guild quests for returning the guild to greatness. That shit sucks due to the randomness. You can spend hours on it and only have one or two holds opened up.
The thing that mainly annoyed me about the Arcane University storyline in Skyrim was that you become Arch Mage at the end, even if you don't know shit about magic (like me). Also, there doesn't seem to be any benefits to the position anyway, so really, what the point of it?
Ahem, can't the same be said about Oblivion? They make you Archmage too, and I did playthroughs without using spells, oh and guess what, the Archmage robes in Oblivion are f*cking useless, no enchantments to speak of, whereas in Skyrim the Archmage robes are rather powerful for spell-casting
I agree with Tarponpet, the Hell do modders and speedrunners have to do with it? Don't like mods? Don't download them, and I've seen speedruns on tons of games, that's never stopped me from playing said games, if anything, speedruns impress me
11:24 Wow you must have been one of the few people who have always wanted to roleplay a dad in search of his son. Fallout 4 was tailor made for that specific niche demographic for some odd reason.. good for you. It sucked for the rest of us who expected this new game to actually improve on what made it's predecessor great. And don't you tell me "but it's predecessor was maye by a different company so your expectations were unreasonable", no! Freedom of roleplay is at the heart of the Fallout franchise since a very long time, Bethesda didn't understand this with F3, so they not only got an other chance to make things right, they also got a beautiful template in F: NV for them to have fun and go wild with. The stars had aligned with them but instead they showed us how little they had learned about what makes a Fallout game great. If i got paid for this like you, TrueReview, i'd write more but i cant be bothered. Love your content. Im just perpelexed to hear this.
Instead of porting skyrim to the atari 2600, I wish Bethesda would make TES VI, and improve on some of the areas where it was lacking. I loved skyrim, I thought it was fantastic. Even though I tried oblvion first, I never got into it until recently (and its fantastic). There are some things skyrim missed from oblivion like some of the weapon variety, casting with a weapon equipped, and some skills that fell by the wayside. Basically, make Skyrim 2: oblivionated.
Honestly this game is only fun one time through. You cant really do too much with your character. They all feel like variations of the same person. The rpg elements were so simple it was boring after a bit. Plus dat story was meh.
I have to disagree I can't explain why it is still fun to play through it again but it is for me at least I mean recently I have already poured another 200 hours in it and I don't know why I keep playing it
well some mods can add more meaningful choices or can really put new breath into the game but I hope to fucking god that Bethesda does not ruin this cause their being assholes right now
Uh yea I had a lot of fun with out mods I mean I put like 500 hours unmodded but I will say it has lot of flaws but it's still a really good game and I think it is better than the other elder scrolls and this isn't just coming from someone who only played skyrim I played all of the other ones through and fully and I just think it is the best honestly. I will say this though with the right mods skyrim can be one of the best gaming experience you can have.
What are you talking about, "A lot of the bugs have been ironed out?" Bethesda doesn't patch shit. If you're on console, fucking give it up. The only exception is the unofficial patch that you can get on PS4 and Xbox One. But other than that, there are still bugs galore... the unofficial patch doesn't even fix all of them.
Skyrim had a exorbitant amount of potential. It just never could live up to it. The game screams "I'm unfinished". I.e. the Bard's College and the College of Winterhold. What is finished is antithetical to what a rpg is supposed to be. No longer does the game require you to create a class. Now the game gives you a blank slate classless build. It would be awesome had we've given the option to play a predetermined class. Skyrim could have did both. Instead the game time and time again pigeon holds you into roles. It never respects your choices. The game treats you as male Nord whose the master of everything. It doesn't matter if you pick a different gender, or race or build. The game doesn't care. I.e. Brynlof waltzing up to you perpetuating about how you look like a theif. Even if you're anything but. That is insulting and irritating to no end. Skyrim is not a rpg it is a action game that subverts rpg elements. It's not a bad game it just isn't my ideal Elder Scrolls game. If Fallout 4 is any indicator that will remain the case with the Elder Scrolls 6.
I gotta say though, after getting decently far into the game, then damn ancient dragons have gotten really annoying. They keep showing up at the most inconvenient times possible. Plus even being so leveled up I’m pretty much a god they still just reck me
Skyrim isn't an RPG, stop saying it's an RPG. It's an action game with RP elements. Also, the fact that you find Skyrim's guilds to be superior to Oblivion's, as well as thinking that Fallout 4 is equally as good as New Vegas really makes me question how this video has overly positive ratings. Lastly: "Is it okay if I turn into a fanboy for a second?" Well, it's what you've been the entire video, rain could just as well have asked to "turn wet for a second". This video was so painful to watch as not a single argument was valid, it's baffling really.
I'd honestly like an Elder Scrolls game based in Blackmarsh, just because Argonians are my favourite race (not female Argonians tho, they're kinda disgusting).
The combat ranges from just okay to barely mediocre, the story and progression is boring and it doesn’t had enough RPG elements for my taste. I like games that are a lot more fast paced, player and character driven (not stupid pointless chores but engaging, rp related stuff,) plus I find it to just be unappealing visually. Even back in 2011 I didn’t think it looked good and I don’t find anything particularly inspired visually. Lore is interesting though, even if Bethesda watered down all the interesting stuff. Give me New Vegas or even something like Pillars any day of the week
i found the dark brotherhood missions in oblivion more interactive than skyrim in skyrim its just go kill this guy we don't care if someone catches you in the act they don't care theirs no risk to award were in oblivion were being stealthy is awarded were in skyrim there's no special rewards.
Take out the misc quests in ESIV's TG, and you just get the Gray Fox telling you to grab a few things really Whereas in Skyrim, everything you do in that questline is connected to a bloody storyline The most memorable thing you do in ESIV's TG is steal an Elder Scroll, should I point out how easy it is to f*ck up the TG questline in Oblivion? If you go to the Moth Priest temple before the Gray Fox tells you to it will glitch the mission order resulting in missing out on the Gray Fox's Cowl at the end of the questline, you become a f*cking Nightingale in Skyrim, with a Skeleton Key that can't be removed from your inventory until you return it to Nocturnal, which by the way, you don't need to do, the Skeleton Key in Oblivion is taken off you by the guards if you get arrested
I dislike Skyrim, it's boring as porridge, and I can't see what people mean by "there's so much to do", there's barely anything, and what is there is uninteresting and boring
Alexandrewvice Why not both? They're small areas compared to Skyrim, and Cyrodil. That'd add much needed variety to the game world. Then Add Summerset Isles as a DLC or something.

i liked your little story. it's perfect for a skyrim lore story, of one of skyrims citizens that the dragonborn passes by.
That didn't sound like a rant but praise or an Oblivion rant.
I was thinking the same thing.

Marksman Gaming Factual opinion. ;^)
Marksman Gaming I think ya meant thieves guild not fighters lmao
Also, oblivion's dark brotherhood is superior
Yes they were.
true....
Christian Caldwell u wot m8
The side quests in Oblivion were the best in the series easily.
Oblivion is superior as a whole no contest. Skyrim feels disappointing to me. There was to much potential wasted due to bad design. Oblivion has wasted potential too but not nearly to the same extent.

Shadow Striker thats not a bug. Thats supposed to happen bal even tells you he wants you to break his soul so bring him back for more torture. But some bugs are left to be intentional such as the giants throwing you in the air.

It ain't no dragon age origins!
I'll finish that one day...

That intro was awesome ! Great work
Watched this yesterday and I’m STILL laughing over the ironic glitch at the end. Fucking perfect! XD

The Silver Hand are werewolf hunters, thought that was obvious, there's a theory that they were former Companions who turned on the guild after finding out about the Beastblood
Not a regular viewer, just found you. And this is a good video! Cheers! Have my subscription
I have spend 1676 hours on this game and it was awesome
Doesn't include microtransations. Looks at creation club. Hmmm
LEFT HAND SUPREMACY!
Little did you know...The Elder Scrolls VI is happening right now..EA 2018?
"Fallout 4 is equally great"
He thought it was.
But it wasn't.
I threw up a little but eh, it's his opinion so who cares at the end of the day.
It's a great game but a shit Fallout game
Skyrim's trailer though, holy crap is it awesome
No i'm going to actually rant about skyrim.
> the combat
In my opinion the worst of the series it is literally just spam M1 and sometime block the only fun way to play for me was a stealth archer.
> Leveling
From your character getting better over time and getting unique perks you now get a skill point that can increase your damage a bit.
> the guilds
In oblivion or any other elder scroll game you slowly rise through the ranks by doing quest that made me feel like just a other member if the guild. While in skyrim you do a few quests and you're in the inner cirkel. Not everything has to be connected in my opinion. I like the feeling that i'm just a other person in the world.
>The quest
For every good one there 10 ''could you get *input item* out of this cave''. Because Bethesda sucks in writing
>The bandits to civilian ratio
Seriously in one cave there are bandit's than people in a city
>the story
In this entire game it feel like the dragons and civil war are just a after thought because it has no influents on the world
I could possible get more thing but i got other things to do
Enclave grunt first off have you ever played the other elder scrolls?
ETB_EmperorWolfYT I haven't played morrowind but the whole weapon stat affects accuracy thing sounds weird as hell.
Hi True Review. I’m fine thanks. Yourself?
I'm good thanks. All prepped for Xmas :)
Sounds like fun. I'll take a look at it.
Darnit! now I wanna play Skyrim!
They're probably gonna remake Skyrim for my smart fridge next year .
How much better the guilds are?
Oblivion's guild quests were universally superior to Skyrim. Especially the Thieves' Guild. That was an absolute mess in Skyrim.
flickflack AGREED
On top of that, the way you get recruited into the oblivion guilds is much more organic than how you get recruited in skyrim guilds. Like how the dark brotherhood in es4 doesn't approach you until you kill any civilian rather then a specific woman in an orphanage in es5.
@flickflack - Excuse me? Were you watching the video at all? TR stated that the Thieve's Guild questline in Oblivion wasn't as connected as the one in Skyrim, I've played both games and he's right about that, other than what the Gray Fox tells you to do, nothing in Oblivion's TG questline makes up a story
@Ay_JL, Um you do realize that in Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood you are kidnapped for stealing a contract kill, and have to repay that debt by killing someone else, then you are offered a spot with the guild
@@JargonMadjin We can disagree and I know I do.
@Grungy Exactly Brynlof waltzing up to you practising you to join the thieves guild. It is insulting and antithetical to the supposed premise of the game. The game does that all the time. Skyrim is not a rpg but a action game with minimal rpg elements.
there is probably gonna be a version of Skyrim on a toaster................seriously
Skyrim has better guild quests..? Seriously?
I too was baffled at that remark. He's free to have his questionable opinion. Oblivion as a whole is so much better it's not even funny.
Yep and I agree with him. Sorry I’m not blinded by my nostalgia goggles.
The only quest line that’s maaaybe better in Oblivion is the Dark Brotherhood
I hated the bards college quests but I actually liked the college of winterhold quest line
Hey True Review, What's Your Favorite Race In Elder Scrolls?
Argonians Are The Most Badass *cough* Oblivion Crisis Events In Black Marsh *cough*
I've always played as Bretons, so either them or Dunmer, just coz I love the politics surrounding them.
Have to say... argonians just got their asses safed by the magical God-Trees of Black Marsh. Not really the argonians, who are bad ass, but there drugs. :P
I've been playing as Khajiit a lot lately
I’ve played 200 hours of Skyrim, now bored of it completely after 2 full playthroughs and yet I can’t remember any of the quests... yet I’m still interested in Oblivon with thousands of hours of several full playthorughs and I remember all of the quest names and experiences even after taking a long break. Why is Oblivion committed to my memory and Skyrim isn’t? I have many hours in both and I can’t remember a single moment in a guild quest on Skyrim??
To me Skyrim is like that hot babe with a little bit of muscle and she is young and you have great sex but you prefer her older sisters who you can talk with for hours without end.
and who's skyrim's older sister? oblivion?
UNNAMED484
Morrowind.
For me its Morrowind and Daggerfall
Valkbg Is daggerfall really that good? I've only played oblivion and skyrim
There's a big mod being made of remaking oblivion in the skyrim engine
>Fallout 4 is equal to New Vegas
HAHAHAHAHAHAH
No
"It's many people's favorite in the series." Yes, those that don't know oblivion exists.
Oblivion exists? Holy shit, I forgot all about that game! Oh, that's right. It was the game in between the two games that actually matter. (Jk, i actually like all 3 games).
I forget, everything needs to lead to an argument in UA-cam comments. Sigh. Alright, fine. Fuck you or something. I don't know.
Honestly I like it better because the world is more interesting and it's easier to role play a charter
Basic Bird hahahahahahahahahahaha
Gameplay is FAR superior to Oblivion. I love Oblivion but if you compare it to Skyrim as for as gameplay and exploration, Oblivion has not aged well.
Give ESO another shot. It’s more than worthy now. Plus u get to see Summerset AND Black marsh.
You are right about ESO looking like Kingdoms of amalur.
I don’t think the ports are hindering Bethesda’s developement of the next Elder Scrolls as much as them working on different projects right now.
Exactly, game development takes time, and we know Bethesda takes time with the Elder Scrolls games to begin with
Hey true review I don't know if you have played DRV3 but if you did what were your thoughts on it.
How can hours be lost and well spent and the same time tho ??
Third. Wait...
I really liked your prince of Persia rant keep up the good work 👌🏻
Did you just say the guild quest lines were better than oblivion? Did you play the oblivion dark brother hood quests?
I love skyrim. But i not really into morrowind even tho its my first elder scrolls. Skyrim had tons of good quests. Morrowind combat was just shit and animations was stupid. Oblivion was actually great game. I probably loved the shivering isles the beat fucking dlc ever to happen to the gaming world.
I'd rather have Hammerfell or High Rock, but that's just me personally.
Would you mind Doing the kingdom of amalur or you already did one ?
You could've went really deep on the thieves guild quests for returning the guild to greatness. That shit sucks due to the randomness. You can spend hours on it and only have one or two holds opened up.
I actually returned the guild to greatness on a playthrough, maybe it has something to do with how organized I was but it didn't take me very long
The thing that mainly annoyed me about the Arcane University storyline in Skyrim was that you become Arch Mage at the end, even if you don't know shit about magic (like me).
A rant about skyrim shit this should be interesting
My jaw hit the fucking floor when you said Fallout 4 is on par with New Vegas.
When does skyrim come out for the gameboy colour
IntrepidMike why the u redcoat
5years later and still no new elder scroll game
Skyrim still the game
I would prefer they start on TES 6 as opposed to... ANYTHING else they might be planning currently.
If you mod up Oblivion it looks pretty amazing.
Ayyyy
if there was a chance i would of played this game. modders and speed runners ruined it.
Akemi Homura how?
I agree with Tarponpet, the Hell do modders and speedrunners have to do with it? Don't like mods? Don't download them, and I've seen speedruns on tons of games, that's never stopped me from playing said games, if anything, speedruns impress me
Modders literally fixed skyrim
don't know if it blackmarsh would suck, but there is a very good chance they would mess up their own lore again
Rant, more like obamacare?
Skyrim is just the most fun to play. Oblivion did some stuff a bit better, but when you go back and play it now you realize how clunky it was.
You think the guild quests are better in Skyrim? Ok
“But we’re all waiting and hoping for Elder Scrolls 6 but that’s not going to happen anytime soon”
Slightly curb your enthusiasm
Honestly this game is only fun one time through. You cant really do too much with your character. They all feel like variations of the same person. The rpg elements were so simple it was boring after a bit. Plus dat story was meh.
I have to disagree I can't explain why it is still fun to play through it again but it is for me at least I mean recently I have already poured another 200 hours in it and I don't know why I keep playing it
The game lacked true meaningful choices, the only "Choice" You had was weather you go imperial or stoemcloak, and yeah that was it.
well some mods can add more meaningful choices or can really put new breath into the game but I hope to fucking god that Bethesda does not ruin this cause their being assholes right now
this
Uh yea I had a lot of fun with out mods I mean I put like 500 hours unmodded but I will say it has lot of flaws but it's still a really good game and I think it is better than the other elder scrolls and this isn't just coming from someone who only played skyrim I played all of the other ones through and fully and I just think it is the best honestly.
Better off waiting for the amazing skywind mod.
ITS HERE BOYSSSS
Fallout 4 as good as New Vegas. HA! Ha, I say.
Rpground I agree, I loved new Vegas and I love fallout 4
12:40 you see that?
Are You ever going to review V3?
Imperfectly Not perfect! Yes.
True Review Okay that's good. Did you enjoy it?
Imperfectly Not perfect! Not played it yet but gonna get round to it in a week or so.
True Review Okay, hopefully you don't dislike it because of the long trials
When you by one sentence that isn't is very little related to with the video 11:25
11:23 You dare! Fallout 4 is equal to New Vegas? BLASPHEMY!!!!
I gotta say though, after getting decently far into the game, then damn ancient dragons have gotten really annoying. They keep showing up at the most inconvenient times possible. Plus even being so leveled up I’m pretty much a god they still just reck me
Hey! Skyrim vr is great!
Shields I've heard of no such thing 🤣
Skyrim isn't an RPG, stop saying it's an RPG. It's an action game with RP elements. Also, the fact that you find Skyrim's guilds to be superior to Oblivion's, as well as thinking that Fallout 4 is equally as good as New Vegas really makes me question how this video has overly positive ratings. Lastly: "Is it okay if I turn into a fanboy for a second?" Well, it's what you've been the entire video, rain could just as well have asked to "turn wet for a second". This video was so painful to watch as not a single argument was valid, it's baffling really.
An RPG = A Role Playing Game, oh and what do you do in Skyrim? Play a f*cking role
Watch skyrim is not an RPG by the Cantina you idiot
The cantina makes great points and clearly states that it is not about playing a role
I thought this video was supposed to be a rant, haha.
have you played oblivon ?
Uh yeah he has, did you even watch the video?
I'd honestly like an Elder Scrolls game based in Blackmarsh, just because Argonians are my favourite race (not female Argonians tho, they're kinda disgusting).
I didn't think it was great when it came out, very good, but not great. Oblivion is my favourite.
Failout 4 is bollocks come on now.
IMHO I find the guild quests in skyrim far worse than Oblivion all of them
12:30 amen and lets hope it stays that way
i found the dark brotherhood missions in oblivion more interactive than skyrim in skyrim its just go kill this guy we don't care if someone catches you in the act they don't care theirs no risk to award were in oblivion were being stealthy is awarded were in skyrim there's no special rewards.
Uh yeah there are, I recall there being special rewards available if you did the optional sh*t, such as the Ancient Shrouded Armor set
This dude just said Fallout 4 was as good as New Vegas
NANI
The oblivion thief guild mission was way better them skyrim
Take out the misc quests in ESIV's TG, and you just get the Gray Fox telling you to grab a few things really
Whereas in Skyrim, everything you do in that questline is connected to a bloody storyline
The most memorable thing you do in ESIV's TG is steal an Elder Scroll, should I point out how easy it is to f*ck up the TG questline in Oblivion? If you go to the Moth Priest temple before the Gray Fox tells you to it will glitch the mission order resulting in missing out on the Gray Fox's Cowl at the end of the questline, you become a f*cking Nightingale in Skyrim, with a Skeleton Key that can't be removed from your inventory until you return it to Nocturnal, which by the way, you don't need to do, the Skeleton Key in Oblivion is taken off you by the guards if you get arrested
Among the first
Yeah you can hardly play skyrim hardcore lol it's too casual still fun though
oblivion quests shits on skyrim's imo
Ehhh It's okay
11:25 I wouldn’t go that far, fallout 4 was bad
You forgot mods.
I dislike Skyrim, it's boring as porridge, and I can't see what people mean by "there's so much to do", there's barely anything, and what is there is uninteresting and boring
Well you have to actually explore the world to do stuff.
SwervingGem don't bother explaining things to a floor
ultimate game for normies
Oh please, Mario is for normies, try say that again after playing Skyrim on Legendary
please not valenwood, it would be even more generic than oblivion, elyswer is the way to go imo.
Alexandrewvice Why not both? They're small areas compared to Skyrim, and Cyrodil. That'd add much needed variety to the game world. Then Add Summerset Isles as a DLC or something.
Hello :D
