aka poor people doing everyday things to them as that's all they know and want to do but to those that haven't lived that life, they'll say people escaping reality, their ticket out.
I've been so emotional about this song since it came out. I honestly can't put it into words. This is special and I haven't heard anything that makes me feel like Microwave does in a long time. See em while you can at smaller shows. Trust me.
I rarely ever get music chills. Gee wiz I'm 53 & a hard core music fan of all genres. Thanks a lot...no thanks to my super cool son, Caleb, who turned me on to you guys!
bloody backyard wrestling, beautiful scenery, drinking, friends, skating, love, rodeo, cars doing doughnuts, cigarette on tongue, dancers, fighting, cheerleaders, religion....literally, what more can you want in a video
I feel like all of this video's views are the same people coming back multiple times a day for the past month because this song is that good and addicting. I know that I can't get away.
Dear microwave, you’ve become my favorite band in the past few years. Brand new really made me love and appreciate music on a level I didn’t think was possible. After them I didn’t think I’d find another band whose songs cut the very core of my soul, But I literally scream along to your songs. Much love.
We used to only do this on the weekends. But now it’s almost every single night. I hear you down the hallway back there puking. I hear your pompous college friends; they’re puking outside. So, I pull your drawers and fill up your sink, make everything exactly how you hate it all to be (because I’m not trying to hold your hair). No, love won’t pass through me because I’m far too cynical for faith and make believe. There’s no such thing as love. We just felt vulnerable without a God, without a crutch or anything else to lean on. There’s nowhere else, nobody else, nothing.
fuck why are their music so deep dude I need to email them and tell them to take it easy or tell them who did this to you lol but nah they better not stop I love music like this
SideOneDummy hey this is forge (the dude in the Orange shirt in the video) if someone could shoot me a contact number or email I'd like to speak to you guys \m/
I dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Brody Odin thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Had "dull" on my spotify playlist for months now. Got it off some random playlist. About a week ago for some reason i trailed off listening to some of their other stuff, and damn. Been obsessively listening to them. They have some type of awesome energy.
I'm from Mississippi, but this resonates some childhood vibes. The nostalgic, hot humidity of fun evenings, while unraveling the dark side of southern culture. Just my sight, though! I show this to everyone, and this is severely underrated!!
George Fischer dude same, I'll admit their video is very Similar and makes me wonder if they had this in mind but on the bright side I discovered a new band.
and the other way round for me, your comment made me watch the Every Time I Die video. and no wonder the vids are similar: Its the same Director/ Producer Team (Kyle Thrash & Ian Ross). So i went out to search for more music-videos by them... dude, they delivered for all the fucking great emo/Punk/Indie bands of the last years (including Modern Baseball, The Menzingers & Sorority Noise) I definitly recommend to check out Ian Ross's vimeo-account!
I come back to watch this video a few times every year. I love it so much. It might be my fav music video of all time at this point. Absolutely brilliant.
this music video hits so hard, it gives me that feeling of living in a small town and knowing you'll probably not be known for much. places like this get me crying because there is not much to them other than people, and it reminds me of my hometown, which I haven't got much left there; it's like I can only get half of this feeling by heart
Holy wow, this is an incredible music video. I do not live in the South, but I feel like this is a "Humans of New York" for Georgia (or where ever this was filmed). Felt like I got to know all of the personalities in the video. On top of the song being amazing.
As someone who grew up not only in the south, but in a trailer park, this is pretty much what its like. Kyle Thrash has captured this way of life in a way thats really beautiful, like this is the real america for so many people. I love it.
Caleb Lewis the director of this video is really good. He did another one in similar style for a band called “every time I die” to the song “map change” really captures the city of Buffalo well (since that’s where the band is from)
this song hits me some special way. Really hard. it feels like emotion when someone broke your hard or leave from your life and you have huge desire to get back that person but you just simply cant. Its inside you, everything angry and mess and you cant just scream and cry
I saw these guys support Tiny Moving Parts in 2019 and it was amazing. It really turned me onto Microwave. I noticed the band after the show, standing around merch. I wanted to go up to them and tell them how amazing there music was but I was too shy and I didn’t want to bother them.
So excited for these guys. Great move from Stovall and the Split. Getting some attention but they've just pumped more gutts into it, not a move many would make, I love it!
The description says "Thank you to everyone who offered us their time, stories, and talents for this video", does anyone know the background of how this video came to be? So many mesmerizing stories, I'm so curious.
God damn, i've been on a 3 hour Microwave binge since this afternoon and this is the stand out song I've heard. I prefer the version they did on Audiotree but too see it put to visuals like this is amazing.
Oh maaaaan i'm just browsing a random theread about new releases and someone just says "check out Microwave" so I think "ok might as well" and holy shit this is superb! my kinda stuff right here
This music video is very good. Probs to the director and everyone that had a part in making it. Tells a powerful story and has me coming back to watch it again and again ;)
my ex showed this to me and now everytime I hear this song I think of when he stayed with me at my house for days after having a seizure putting up my xmas tree with lights. I still love him and miss him if I could turn back time I would and fix things I miss him more and more everyday....
Reminds me of home, and the cathartic emo tunes that complimented it--the good and the bad. Iconic scenes in here I've experienced myself, trying chew and young love under the bleachers to name a few. Good job with this SideOne :)
i bought tickets to your last show, 2 of em, it was either in philly or brooklyn, but I had a loss in my family and couldnt make it, i love you guys, i love the spectrum of music and emotion you guys show, this music video is beautiful. i really need to see you guys live. even tho i never made the concert, i bought your album (much love), and im happy to give yall the fundz, love yall
i was going through the bands playing at warped tour this year. i was intrigued by the name, now im hooked. good music, great vocals, awesome just awesome
Maybe I'm overthinking the song but i find the lyricks and the video very great except for the part that says there's no love.. But i see there's so much love, there's no peace for humans and i see there's not a god. I don't understand the part that says that there's no such thing as love as it confront directly with the reality(even in the video), it's a very nihilistic song and i like it, but even in nihilism there's place for love! :D
I think it makes sense in context, the lyrics are about a relationship that's turned into daily binge drinking, and one person being fed up with it and not wanting to help them anymore since it's only encouraging the behavior. I think a low point like that might make someone rethink if love even exists, or if they were just holding on to someone because it's more comforting than having literally nothing. Sad fucking song.

I don't know why, but "montage of people in small towns doing random everyday stuff" is my favorite genre of music video.
can't decide who does it better - Microwave or Every Time I Die.
aka poor people doing everyday things to them as that's all they know and want to do but to those that haven't lived that life, they'll say people escaping reality, their ticket out.
When someone calls atlanta a “small town”. Bro its just the south lol
Then again a lot of this was probably filmed outside the city so i guess u right nvm
Gotta be one of my favorite genders 🙏
Man looking back years later this is so sick. Thank you for letting me be part of this. So cool.
6 years later and this still slaps just as hard as the first day I heard it
Yea bro I got my whole small town into this song lol
still one of the coolest music vids ever
this is worth having "microwave vomit' in my search history
my exact thoughts while searching this on my work's wifi
2:20 There's nowhere else, nobody else, nothing... BAM!!!
Chills...
The fucking timing on that throw was too perfect!
I've been so emotional about this song since it came out. I honestly can't put it into words. This is special and I haven't heard anything that makes me feel like Microwave does in a long time. See em while you can at smaller shows. Trust me.
Alex Zimmermann first show I ever cried at
I rarely ever get music chills. Gee wiz I'm 53 & a hard core music fan of all genres. Thanks a lot...no thanks to my super cool son, Caleb, who turned me on to you guys!
shout out caleb, and shout out you too steve
How the hell is Kyle Thrash such a good director? Everything he makes is beautiful.
Yes, yes, absolutely yes. He is genius, absolute art what he makes, I love it.
@@santiagomuedano Do you know if he has done anything recently?
@@ersudoku follow him on vimeo he posts always there :)
i'm currently on a kyle binge it is insane
after reading this i wondered if he directed "Map Change".. He did lol.
3 years later. Still cry listening to how good this is.
Im so glad to be alive during this era. Wouldnt give it up for anything else 💜
bloody backyard wrestling, beautiful scenery, drinking, friends, skating, love, rodeo, cars doing doughnuts, cigarette on tongue, dancers, fighting, cheerleaders, religion....literally, what more can you want in a video
*favorite band, favorite appliance.*
favorite way to dispel toxins from my body
Great band great appliance
I feel like all of this video's views are the same people coming back multiple times a day for the past month because this song is that good and addicting. I know that I can't get away.
The song is amazing but this is probably the most beautiful music video I’ve ever seen. I get chills every time.
Dear microwave, you’ve become my favorite band in the past few years. Brand new really made me love and appreciate music on a level I didn’t think was possible. After them I didn’t think I’d find another band whose songs cut the very core of my soul, But I literally scream along to your songs.
Much love.
I'm pretty sure I have contributed to half of these views so far. My god this song is so good
Brandon Marshall hey man me too
Im only contributing 1
Brandon Marshall I'm pretty sure so have I.
I know it, it's just the perfect package. The video only sweetens the deal.
We used to only do this on the weekends. But now it’s almost every single night. I hear you down the hallway back there puking. I hear your pompous college friends; they’re puking outside. Fucking bless 😊
we cried while typing them
fuck why are their music so deep dude I need to email them and tell them to take it easy or tell them who did this to you lol but nah they better not stop I love music like this

@Nathaniel Harper Instablaster =)
@Brody Odin thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now.
I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I still come back to this vid at least once a month. What a special song
Kyle Thrash is probably the best mv director i have ever seen, thumbs up!
Holy eff this is one of the most incredible pieces of music i have heard in a FAT second. Cheers to microwave.
Had "dull" on my spotify playlist for months now. Got it off some random playlist. About a week ago for some reason i trailed off listening to some of their other stuff, and damn. Been obsessively listening to them. They have some type of awesome energy.
This deserves a Grammy in every category.
I'm from Mississippi, but this resonates some childhood vibes. The nostalgic, hot humidity of fun evenings, while unraveling the dark side of southern culture. Just my sight, though! I show this to everyone, and this is severely underrated!!
Every Time I Die's Map Change music video brought me here
George Fischer dude same, I'll admit their video is very Similar and makes me wonder if they had this in mind but on the bright side I discovered a new band.

I have to say my life is brighter since I found Microwave
This is my first time listening to this band, at let me just say that I did not expect something so beautiful from a song titled "Vomit."
Is nobody going to talk about the fact that there is a TANK in this video
Jonathan Allison C'mon, its Microwave. A tank was inevitable.
Also death. Death is also inevitable.
he has a valid point.
Khalisah Nzee hmmm ACTUALLY death is a warm blanket
From the looks, I'm pretty sure it's Tank Town USA, a place for well driving tanks in Blue Ridge, GA
This is so ugly and beautiful at the same time. What a fucking masterpiece.
Can't wait to see these guys next month. One of the best bands I've discovered in years.
the fact that I'm alive and get to listen to this
this music video hits so hard, it gives me that feeling of living in a small town and knowing you'll probably not be known for much. places like this get me crying because there is not much to them other than people, and it reminds me of my hometown, which I haven't got much left there; it's like I can only get half of this feeling by heart
didn’t even know there was a music video but it was exactly the vibe i was expecting
7 years later still my favorite music video
Holy wow, this is an incredible music video. I do not live in the South, but I feel like this is a "Humans of New York" for Georgia (or where ever this was filmed). Felt like I got to know all of the personalities in the video. On top of the song being amazing.

Maybe I'm overthinking it but this video made me strangely proud to be from the south.
Caleb Lewis the director of this video is really good. He did another one in similar style for a band called “every time I die” to the song “map change” really captures the city of Buffalo well (since that’s where the band is from)
I'll watch that one! Yeah every video I've seen from Kyle Thrash has been amazing. Super talented guy.
I'm from Atl and this video is pretty rad

one of the best songs and videos ever written.

this song hits me some special way.

How do you just continue with life after hearing this
I listen to this almost every day, at least once. Thinking abiut getting a microwave leaking vomit just for this song
donot want to sound typical but theres so much feels in this!
10/10 masterpiece. Absolutely one of the greatest songs ever written.
My favorite song of all time I swear, I've never heard anything more intense and beautiful at the same time
I can't stop listening to this song. Please send help. And by "help," I mean send me a mixtape of this song 40 times in a row.
Yep. That's my Georgia.
The description says "Thank you to everyone who offered us their time, stories, and talents for this video", does anyone know the background of how this video came to be? So many mesmerizing stories, I'm so curious.
We just called a bunch of people and hung out in this one trailer park in Marietta
Another beautiful video directed by Kyle Thrash for another beautifully crushing punk song.
I'm just hoping there's a bad song on the new record because everything I've heard so far is too perfect.
thank you spotify
I come back to this music video every 6 months. So beautifully shot with one of my favorite hooks ever written. So fucking good man
God damn, i've been on a 3 hour Microwave binge since this afternoon and this is the stand out song I've heard. I prefer the version they did on Audiotree but too see it put to visuals like this is amazing.
STILL IS FLAMES🔥🔥🔥 UGH IT'S SO GOOD
I got chills watching this video it's beyond amazing. The music and the lyrics are intense perfection.
What a great video. Really captivating!
Best band to come out in the last 5 years don’t even fucking @ me
Music video of the year.
I LOVE THIS BAND HOT DAMN
Saw the album art and thought this was a hipster alt-rock band... needless to say i was totally wrong and pleasantly surprised 😂
I think i just found my new favorite video
i still get chills every time i watch this video. absolutely amazing
my ex showed this to me and now everytime I hear this song I think of when he stayed with me at my house for days after having a seizure putting up my xmas tree with lights. I still love him and miss him if I could turn back time I would and fix things I miss him more and more everyday....
So raw, so powerful, love it.
In love with this song
Oh wow, I just found this band through Reddit and boy was I pleasantly surprised. This is fantastic
still gives me chills 5 years later
andddddddddd pre-ordered. This video sealed the deal
Reminds me of home, and the cathartic emo tunes that complimented it--the good and the bad. Iconic scenes in here I've experienced myself, trying chew and young love under the bleachers to name a few. Good job with this SideOne :)
This story really hits home it tells the past 7 years of my life
i bought tickets to your last show, 2 of em, it was either in philly or brooklyn, but I had a loss in my family and couldnt make it, i love you guys, i love the spectrum of music and emotion you guys show, this music video is beautiful. i really need to see you guys live. even tho i never made the concert, i bought your album (much love), and im happy to give yall the fundz, love yall
Sorry for your loss.
i was going through the bands playing at warped tour this year. i was intrigued by the name, now im hooked. good music, great vocals, awesome just awesome
WE USED TO ONLY DO THIS ON THE WEEKENF

0:40
this video is so fucking killer.
this is great! Looking forward to the new record for sure
unbelievably beautiful
Take my money. This is beautiful.
The last "Nothing" was powerful
I keep listening over and over just for the last “nothing”.
Baleygr Flamming Eye could be a perceptual thing
I think it makes sense in context, the lyrics are about a relationship that's turned into daily binge drinking, and one person being fed up with it and not wanting to help them anymore since it's only encouraging the behavior. I think a low point like that might make someone rethink if love even exists, or if they were just holding on to someone because it's more comforting than having literally nothing. Sad fucking song.
Anyone else cry everytime?
This music video reminds me so much of Easley South Carolina
Pretty good. Might have to catch their Riot Fest set
we'll be there!
+SideOneDummy is this the band speaking or are you taking about a SideOneDummy tent?
no tent, but we (the label) will be physically screaming / crying over their set
This right here : 0:48 - 1:23 So beautiful and that little 1:06 high passage. So good.
