      Thank you for the kind words, glad my video helped. I wish I found a video like this when I started my bespoke pen journey. Thanks for watching.

    Hi Gabe, I am in Australia and just starting to get into Bespoke Pen making and really want to use timber blanks if I can so that is why your video is great using the sleeve. Will need to watch it a few times to write down the measurements, so I can refer to them as a guide when I make my first template inserts. thanks again love your videos

    I follow a very similar process Gabe. In fact, identical. The tight threads are a pain, and I use a fine paste (Yorkshire Grit) on the threads, then run the tap / die down a couple of times. Works a treat.

      Nice to hear that the process I use is the same as others. I will have to look into Yorkshire Grit on the threads. Thank you so much for sharing this tip.

    Great video! Super informative and clear. I've been a fan and follower for a while now! Can't wait to dive into this kitless adventure! Thank you! Do you have a good source for the ebonite?

    Watching it once again … so was your 10x0.75 for your jowo#6 without making the separate section right?

    • @exoticwoodpen
      @exoticwoodpen  2 роки тому +2

      Hi, the 10 x 0.75 is for the section to body connection. If you look at the end of the section, the threaded part is the male 10 x 0.75 thread and where it screws into the body is also 10 x 0.75, hope that helps.

    Gabe, I know you already spoke about it, but where do you get the Jowo #6 nibs?

    • @exoticwoodpen

      I usually buy them on eBay

      @@johneliadis9689 I usually only look for 2 tone or gold color steel Jowo #6 nibs on eBay but I believe you can get them on amazon too.

      Have you had any issues with wood being too porous and the nib drying out? One of the last pens I made I had that issue.

    brad point.... well I suppose if you don't drill completely through. I've blown up many blanks because of brad points..

    • @exoticwoodpen
      @exoticwoodpen  3 роки тому +2

      Yes I have as well, I been using brad points because of wood grain drift and have not bought a new set for the ebonite which does not need it but just using what I have.
