Your range is like Disney World to a gunslinger.

It feels like a 1 on 1, a friend showing me his yard and range. Very easy-going and informational.

I’m jealous. I didn’t realize your range was so close to your house.

Always have thought your camera guy does well to film you up close and what you're doing. Never even knew all these years that there was a house right there . Interesting to see the evolution of the range over the years too.

Was a welder. I had some half-inch AR-500 leftover from a job. So I made a shooting tree. I installed it at the CMP range I belong to. it's at 200 yards . That was 25 years ago, and it still looks like the day I put it in place.

Either your range is great with upkeep, or they are terrible shots lol. That's awesome!

Holy shit! I've never seen any other perspective than from the range table. I had no clue you were a couple steps off your porch!

Very nice range, Sir. Thank you for sharing this. You are very fortunate to have the room to practice like this. We had a 100 yd range behind our house in northern New York State when I was a kid. 4 miles out of town you could get lost in the woods. We didn't. We lived there. No one would hear us shooting either.

This range needs a preservation order on it as it's a national monument it should be a site for generations to visit for years to come

Old footage, but an interesting visit to your range. Consider this an invitation to come to my range next time you are in Michigan, so you can shoot my new 16" "gong" at 85 yards (non-magnum handgun only). Might be a little more challenging than your 24" gong at 80 yards.

God bless you Hickok 45! Love your channel and your range. God has blessed you so much. Are you Christian Mr Hickok? I pray you are. You have a great platform to talk about Jesus and what he does for sinners like myself. Again God bless. Wonderful wholesome and clean channel, that many people I know learn things about different weapons, and the history behind them. Keep up the great work! John as well. Awesome to see you and your son, having the opportunity to spend time together, doing things you both love to do.

Damn, here in the people’s republic of Massachusetts I would have to win the lottery to afford that much property lol. One thing my instructor drilled in our heads a long times ago. “If you’re going to shoot out in the woods always check your target AND beyond”

Wow ! Walkin; out there with ya, I'm impressed how far it is, and the hand guns you hit it with (maybe it didn't ring as clear as a 45.70 or 308 but ya rang it.)

Nice range sir. I'm stuck with 80 yards on my land. My 80 yard targets are AR500 steel and handle my .308, 7.5 Swiss, 30-06 and 8mm Mauser just fine. My 50 yard targets are mostly steel, but I generally shoot only lead bullets in cowboy calibers or rimfire.

Great walking tour iif your awesome range. Amazing the number of bullets laying around on the ground in the 100-200 yard zone. If this were California the guv mint would declare it a lead eco hazard site. Good thing Tennessee is in the USA.

heres a question for ya hikok......my dad(who taught me to shoot) always referenced everything in yards, like you did. how come my cousin refers to everything in meters? is it a personal thing or what? they are both veterans so i know its not a military thing but they do have different shooting philosophy. dad was a spray n pray Vietnam vet and my cousin was a Iraq op freedom vet. just curious

Thanks for the tour, Hickok45. That was fun. What I've always wondered is where that road is located in relation to your range? I saw a video of a range in Denmark a few days ago where an "interstate" highway ran through the range in front of and lower down the slope than the targets. It was strange to see the shooters shooting over the tops as they went by. There was also a steel baffle wall that blocked out the vision of the cars when shooting from the prone position, which was the only shooting position allowed, but when standing you could see the cars whizzing by. Straaaange.
