Full of knowledge me 😂 trying to build up legs - so hard to get the balance and not have knackered legs for running. Single leg pistol squat is my elusive goal 🥅 - always scared of overdoing it
Those feet! I have just gotten over my PTSD of seeing them last time and now I have relapsed 😂 Great tips though boss! I will make sure I use some of those going forward mate! You are absolutely going to nail those races boss I bet you will suprise yourself on the skyrace. 😎🤘🏻
so you going to chase mark around again then huh the elevation on uts makes the arc look tame, its good that it's in summer but north wales you can never tell whats going to happen good luck with the training adam
UTS is next level as is mark - a few alps races have humbled me as never get in the elevation - a few trips to wales should help out. Have you run around there much?
@@ultrarunneradam iv not run there but ive done plenty camp/hiking trips around there im sure there will be plenty of scrambling to break up the running if you've not been before id definitely recommend the recce's and a waterproof 1:25,000 os map aside from that its just an amazing place to be.
Great to hear you're healing up nicely after the Arc. UTS looks amazing, can't wait to see the videos leading up to that, and the event itself of course 💪
Will be fun doing them. Was going next weekend but can’t get the clearance - had a shocker of a cold this week so goons take it easy - plenty of time. You out much?
@@ultrarunneradam I've just started running again after far too long out the game. It'll be a steady build up but hoping to be ready for some races next year (just for the fun of it).
Hi Adam, love your channel, its so good to see how others cope, you're way above my level mind you! I wanted to ask about training Peaks, and how you use it effectively. Ive signed up some time ago but dont really use it all that often, mainly as I find Garmin Connect more user friendly, though I'm sure Garmin has less data? Have you done any videos detailing training Peaks and all the data you use from it?
I use TP for coaching so it is an excellent tool. It’s good personal use but there are equally as good options ie garmin suunto Strava etc - for though I can run all my athletes from 1 hub - great for setting up plan etc. I’m not that good with showing my viewers screen shares etc so don’t think I can put out a decent video yet. But maybe one day. Thanks though for the ideas and glad you ❤️ my channel 👍👍👍
You’ve got in touch 👍 So I coach for destination unknown ducoaching.com/- they are an Italian coach team and I am their uk coach. We can arrange a zoom chat if you want? Message me adam@ducoaching.com 😃
Yes wet feet for 24 hours / no gaiters / time on feet / tired so stubbed toes a fair bit - MDS i taped my feet too which you cant do in wet conditions as tape comes off - NDW100 my feet were pretty trashed and I wore injiji socks 🤔
Glad you're taking care of your feet and recovering well! Great video!
Thanks - glad you liked the video 👍👍
Great vlog Adam👍 Snowdon race looks epic
Wales will be fun to explore this year - if I can escape 🤞🤔
@@ultrarunneradam just need to earn those family credits
Though I'm not yet an ultra runner - just a road guy so far - I think all of your advice is easily transferrable! Thanks for this one! Keep pushing!
Thanks Dev - I like the ‘not yet’ - and your not just a road guy - you’re putting the work in for sure 👍👍
Great vid mate - keep them coming. Epsom bath salts are essential 👌
Cheers Kev - I’ve seen Epsom salts with Cbd - a bit expensive but tempted 👍
Well done Adam looking forward to your races.
Thanks - the racing will be fun - training will be too once the weather improves - shocking at the moment 🌧☔️
Dettol tip is a good one. It's the kind of thing my Mum did in 1979 but I'd forgotten about.
I was 6 yrs old then so reckon your about right. My dad used to use TCP - rank smell but did the job! 👃
Gotta love a deadlift and a squat… glad recovery has gone well. Never thought about the detol idea, very wise !

Happy to use my model feet in trail mag articles - my wife retches if she looks at them 😂😂😂
@@ultrarunneradam I dont blame her mate. Poor woman 😂
@@BenNotley I didn’t run when I met her 😂😂
I'll definitely be taking this wisdom forward for my future ultra races!
I am so wise 😂 hope it all helps
Glad to see you're recovering well Adam. Looking forward to seeing how you get on at SDW50 and UTS165! Best of luck

Looks like we doing the same race.iam doing the north downs 50. . Longest ever race for me.
Which one are we doing ? I’m doing the sdw 50. Ndw is a nice one
@Ultra Runner Adam sorry 😞 i thought u said north lol.sorry.if honest nervious about my first 50
@@thekernowrunner3752 depends on how you want to run it. As long as you keep a consistent training plan then all ok.
@Ultra Runner Adam so far i run 4 days 50k a week .plan running north regular. . Last week long run was 27k.
So how come you can end MDS with perfect feet and trash them in the Arc? Wet & vert?

Are you a proper ultra runner if you haven’t got black toe Nails 😂
Totally 💯 no shoes can save your toes from solid rock stub 😩😫😣
Same is true for road runners as well - LOL!
