Buckin, I used to use "saw sharpening" as an excuse to take a break from cutting. (I'm old!) But, you've convinced me to keep my saws razor sharp all the time. Thank you. It's amazing how much a sharp chain reduces the workload -- but you've known that for a long time!

Thanks for the guidance and helpin' me blaze a trail to that happy place we are all tryin' to reach✊ Love, andrewski
The message at the end of this video hit me hard. I’m going through a lot of personal stuff right now and the woods and running saws are about the only thing that keep me happy right now. Thank you Buckin’! I love the positivity that you share and spread to everyone in your videos.
Love it! A straight up bucking firewood video, yet even with my limited experience at doing that, I still managed to not only see techniques that were talked about, but learn others just through simple observation! Thank you good sir! Love to all from Northern Alberta!!

I worked in paid work for 49 years, and I worked conscientiously and hard for all of that time with barely a day that I didn't enjoy what I was doing. But I must say that since retiring 13 years ago, I have been happier in the work that I have been doing (mainly volunteer work) because I have been doing what I want to do, not what someone else wants me to do. The last few months with CovID19 have been more difficult due to the restriction on getting out there to do the work that you like doing, but surprisingly I have found a lot of enjoyment in a range of home-based tasks including restoring 6 axes of different sizes (2 rusty lumps in the corner of the shed) and fixing up 4 chainsaws (3 of them for others). So now I am in a "Billy Ray" style of volunteer work except I am in Australia and it is an interest, not a business. Just keep going and helping others and you will be helping yourself.

Buckin I am so greatful for your videos. My chains are sharper then ever before. My axes are not as sharp as I would like them but way better then before. Your videos have got me off the couch and doing more cutting and splitting. Thank you sir for your help. Spears love cuz it wins. Let all be kind.
Buckin, you are 100% right about the negativity and letting it ride. I have seen the same from many people and spreading positivity and love is the best answer. Thanks for another great video!
Good vid. I saw a crew one time that used (what they called) a "dirt saw". They used one saw to cut through 95% of it (kind of like you did before you rolled it). Then they finished the cuts with another saw (i.e. the "dirt saw"). The first saw didn't get dull.....and it didn't matter if the second one did.
There’s always a solution to a problem! Clean wood is great but it doesn’t always happen that way and knowing how to clean the rocks out and make it usable is just part of being a woodman I guess👌👌 love to you and the family❤️
I always enjoy your videos, Buckin’, and equally I enjoy reading the comments and seeing what an incredible and positive impact you’re having on lives all around the world. Love and kindness to everyone. Glad so many are doing well and feeling great. ❤️

You got me taking notes Billy Ray. I just overhauled my 026, modded the muffler, added an 18 inch bar and some aggressive bucks. Its meaner than ever. I'm not cutting anything crazy but I'm select cutting trouble hardwoods and overgrowth to help the old, established pines and bigger hards grow better. I'm working an acre and 1/2 myself and everything I cut is being processed into firewood. I'm dragging it all by hand to my landing, heavy, up hill and uneven ground. It's a lot of work but I'm crazy like that!
That Sachs Dolmar power saw showed those logs who is the BOSS! One of the finest power saws around. I have a beat up old Sachs Dolmar 120Si that I run and is is still a Beast. Nice to see you so happy in your element Brother Buckin'...may your days be many and long :)

Don't see many in my neck of the woods but those German Dolmar saws are one heck of a good saws. Well said only wish my first wife understood that. When I finally left the oilfields and started my own timber buisness I was finally happy. But never once got support from my wife she never understood why I worked so hard but was happy. Times was hard I was building a buisness from scratch. I started with a pick up and a chainsaw cutting pulpwood and loading by hand. But up until my accident that ruined my back I had a log truck a loader a dozer and a sawmill. Even had a couple guys employed to help so I did ok I think. The accident was unfortunate though took 3 years fighting for disability and in that time had to sell everything in order to live. Sad you have to play their game and lose what you work for.
@@kenjett2434 hi ,bro, but you had the oportunity to do it.this is more than some people ever expecting in live.i hope your back is good by now and i wish you at one day you can do what you love again.stay kind, and healthy.💚🌲💚🌳
@@pilkpulk8284 well it's like Buckin Billie said opportunity doesn't just happen you have to make it happen. I had a pick up and a chainsaw things that most people that live in the country should have. So I went to the pulp and paper company and applied for a contract to cut on their property. At that time they owned thousands of acres of forest in my county. So I was able to get a small contract on a small 5 acre section to get started. It was a clear cut piece that I could fully access with my truck. That's how I got started I made my own opportunity it wasn't just there I created it. Later the state started requiring operators to have a license. So I had to take the required training and was the 26th operator in my state to obtain a logging license. I still remember my state number 0026 which was kinda cool as I was in first group to license. That was along time ago now.
Great tips for avoiding rocks and dirt from logs. Some might like to see also how to cut when there is mud or heavy dirt on say one side of the log. Love it Buckin and drift on drifter. Hehe welcome newcomers hope you enjoy the Buckin show and hope your feelin the love of the channel. Thank you to all the Messengers and Soldiers of kindness. Love on brothers and sisters.🌲❤🌲✊

Love the channel Buckin. I live in northern Maine. I burn 4 or 5 cords of wood a winter and love to hand split my wood. Last year my plumb splitting ax head cracked in half. It's still in one piece but there's a split down the middle. I'm not sure if i can weld it or not? I would like to know how to get a bucking special. Would really love to have one.
Matt Hall no worries welding it, my plumbs crack at the back of the eye often. You can carefully grind the proud weld with a flap disc and they can come up like new...from the outside.
I think it's time for me to buy a decent size chainsaw that thing cuts quick, man your friend was in the right place to have a heart attack, fast repair work from the doctors I'm glad for him
I'm glad to see you using a peavey, save the back a heap of trouble. That dolmar is a nice cutter. Never seen a filter being blown out by the muffler before.lol if it works it works.
Hi Buckin Billy ! I love your videos. I have learned so much from watching your videos. You are an inspiration to many people. You spread love and kindness and that’s what the world needs. I believe there is more love and kindness than hate. I love your videos. They’re inspirational to me. I own a tree service in Massachusetts. I am 21 and have been doing my business officially since I was 19 once I graduated high school. I was wondering if you could give me feed back on equipment that I should get as I grow my business. I currently have a 3/4 pickup and a dump trailer. On the side I am a volunteer firefighter. I do my business fulltime. I do tree removal, trimming, brush removal, junk removal and snowplowing. If there is any feedback or tips you could give me I would greatly appreciate it. I can’t wait to see more videos on UA-cam from you in the future. Stay Safe! Nick Ault Firehouse Tree
Hey Buckin'! A buddy of mine said he could buck logs lying in the dirt and never dull his chain just by looking at the color of the sawdust. When it got red, he knew he was into the bark on the bottom and had to stop. I've tried it, and you can do it, but small margin for error!
Nice see you use the cant hook roller. Make my back even feel better buddy. Specially on some video looks like having fun getting some pcs too move for you by hand. Sure it not easy on your back later on or day after.

Go to his website I think you can order one there it buckinbillyraycom
Matt Hall no worries welding it, my plumbs crack at the back of the eye often. You can carefully grind the proud weld with a flap disc and they can come up like new...from the outside.
@@pacific4x444 thanks for the info.
@@juliomcdermott4696 thanks brotha. I will weld it this weekend.
Just a tangent but love seeing the old Merc still gets out.

I knicked a chain link fence a few times cutting a windfall branch off the fence. I had to do some major filing. That Dolly really cuts!
I think it's time for me to buy a decent size chainsaw that thing cuts quick, man your friend was in the right place to have a heart attack, fast repair work from the doctors I'm glad for him
Get a 2003 or 4 365 or 372 xp husqvarna with 24 inch bar she works good
Prayers for Brian. Tell him we are all here for him
I'm glad to see you using a peavey, save the back a heap of trouble.

Stay Safe!

THAT Saw Is Saying FEED ME MORE.. What a Beast
Hey Buckin'! A buddy of mine said he could buck logs lying in the dirt and never dull his chain just by looking at the color of the sawdust. When it got red, he knew he was into the bark on the bottom and had to stop. I've tried it, and you can do it, but small margin for error!
New subscriber. You are uplifting. Keep on keeping on.
thx friend ,, will do
Nice see you use the cant hook roller. Make my back even feel better buddy. Specially on some video looks like having fun getting some pcs too move for you by hand. Sure it not easy on your back later on or day after.
