Both are awesome Utility vehicles. They are actually products to be very proud off as an Indian. Providing world class safety, features and looks. Maybe the performance or Fit and Finish might not be able to match up with roboticly manufactured German cars that have super narrow tolerances for errors but Indian Industry catching upto this level is phenomenal. Within a decade we might surpass or breakeven the manufacturing quality of german cars without increasing too much of complexities. Also, local manufacturers need to enhance the aftersale services, since this has a huge potential in continuously making the customer feel bad for choosing thw product and associating oneself with the company. We also need to stop this racist behavior of believing that Jeep, or VAG are better or high class (this includes Toyota too) and support our local manufacturers.

You missed the air conditioning part when keeping the unlock button pressed on the remote key. With the driver window and sunroof opening, the air vents also start working which could be helpful in summer to eliminate heat.

XUV 700 is still ahead in the SUV game. Safari may offer more features, but Mahindra makes better engines compared to Tata. Lack of a good petrol engine is another area Tata lags behind. For now,looks like XUV 700 is still VFM. If only Tata could improve their after sales service, improve quality control and make better Engines.

The screen shutting at random is a major issue but it doesn't bother that much now and the mileage is worst in XUV petrol version but the performance and driving experience is still superb.

Faisal, I can let you review my Rexton RX6 model. It’s got torque on demand 4WD system, ladder on frame chassis with Mercedes sourced 2.7 L 5 cylinder engine. It’s got a beastly road presence. I have been driving XUV 700 petrol, in Bangalore traffic you get around 10 - 11 and on highways, you can easily get 14 - 15. You can easily cruise at 100 kmph below 2k rpm. The efficiency number quoted in this video is for spirited driving, for normal driving, this car gives good mileage ! :)
Yes xuv misses these feature. But the third row space is not great but not too less like he described. Like yes there isn't much knee room but listen your knee doesnt stay so straight up when you sit in a car....it moves to the side. Maybe you too haven't thought too. And head room is not also a problem for 5'11 person. And with some efforts, three teens can sit easily there. And yeah, the price point of safari and xuv is same....but mahindra gave you better audio, front and middle sitting space, chassis, engine, interiors, comfort and more.... And yeah the way Faisal described that he needs usb, 12v socket, wireless in the front cabin.... How's that even possible? 😂 And so, the missed features were just to cut some cost. If they included, it would've cost somewhere about 3-4 lakhs more maybe?
