I am from Karachi city. Thanks for visiting my city and I hope you enjoyed the hospitality although we are considered the least hospitable people in comparison to other places of Pakistan.
Karachi is very divided ethnically and economically.
This area of Karachi is called Azam Basti and people here are mostly belong to lower to middle classes. Grocery prices and house rents in other upper middle class and rich areas of Karachi are super super high.

i dont understand? in india there is something called MRP. That means the price of an item is the same whether it is in a village or a city. how is it there the prices vary in Pakistan based on location? is there no such a thing as MRP or maximum retail price?
No it's totally depend on the supply if you talk about tetra pack milk they're different in every locality but when it comes to the milk shops prices are same

Ravi!Did you visit "Hyderabad Deccan colony" in Karachi and met people who were migrated from Hyderabad Deccan after independence.
Karachi is very multi ethnic and it has several areas and towns on the names of Indian cities and states and the people live in these areas are those who migrated from different parts of India. For example Karachi has Bangalore town, Bihar colony, UP mor, Hyderabad colony, Punjab colony, Bengali para, Gujarati areas like Kharadar and Methadar (Jinnah's birth place), Madras society etc.

I think we can no way compare costs across currencies. The costs have to be taken from the pakistani point of view, petrol of 250/- per liter is very expensive for an average Pakistani ....but cheaper when you convert it to Indian rupee. If you compare the salary of an average Indian, it would be around 25000.00...the same or even less for a pakistani....but the cost of petrol is 100 for Indian and 250 for pakistani.
