@@B-U-T-C-H-E-R That is only ONE of a few 'slightly' irritating things about the lack of disc drive - of the few games I have on disc, No Man's Sky is one of them - so can play it on one of my other PS5s still, but wont get the Enhanced Version on those base PS5's. Boo. Will wait for it on sale on digital probably 🙂

I think 4k 60fps is really a sweet spot in gaming. I think 4k 120fps is the ceiling. Once you go past that, with diminishing returns and limits of the human eyes, you really aren't getting the bang for your buck
Its hard for 4090s to hit 4k 60 on new games. The sweet spot as far as res and fps is 1440p 120 or higher. 4k60 is the ceiling and may come on next gen xbox and ps but definitely not native this gen
@B-U-T-C-H-E-R Anything but native doesn't look as good imo. I'd rather have native 1440p then an upscaled 4k from 1080p or 720p like we get eight now.
The reason why people keep saying there’s no difference is because of a few reasons: 1/ They’ve only seen the differences on UA-cam and not in 4K, therefore they can’t see the differences due to the compression algorithm. 2/ it’s because they’re comparing the 30FPS mode on PS5, to the 60FPS mode on PS5 Pro, only looking at the graphics, and not realising that the PS5 Pro is actually rendering the same visuals, but at twice the frames. 3/ It’s because they still only have a 1080p, HD, TV, so to them it looks the same. 4/ They’re an Xbox fanboy, who can see the difference, but they’re lying and pretending that they can’t, because Xbox isn’t making a mid-generation refresh as well. 5/ They’re a PC fanboy, who can also see the difference, who are also lying and pretending they can’t, because their PC isn’t as powerful as the PS5 Pro, even though they’ve spent more money and they’re butt hurt about it. 6/ They’re a PC fanboy, who can also see the difference, but is lying and pretending they can’t, because they don’t like the fact that a £700 console is competing with their £1500 PC, and that consoles are slowly catching up to their high-end rigs. 7/ They can see the difference but can’t afford it, so they feel the need to downplay it and pretend there isn’t a difference, simply to make themselves feel better. That’s where all the outrage is coming from, people in one of those 1-7 camps. For people like myself who only play at 60FPS and can’t play at 30FPS anymore, the difference is going to be massive.
As an avid PC player, the PS5 Pro is absolutely worth its asking price when you look at the often ridiculous present-day cost of some PC parts (especially GPU's). If you don't have a gaming machine at all, unless you're wanting to go for an all-out enthusiast-class PC build with a 4090 or 7900 XTX, the PS5 Pro is a compelling option. I welcome the PS5 Pro because even though I probably won't buy one since I game mainly on PC, it will create an anchor of sorts for prices of some PC parts. Nvidia, AMD and Intel will have to take into consideration the price of the PS5 Pro and what it offers. They won't be able to go as nuts with their parts pricing because at a certain point people can just peace out and buy a PS5 Pro and game on that instead and get a good experience with it.
I bought one to send Sony a message which is keep making powerful consoles and offering it at these prices because that's how your going to win over pc gamers, console gamers will be forced to accept these prices because pc prices are only going to go one way, and that's up so if they wanted to go pc they would see $1200+ and suddenly think $700 is not that bad I guess.
I can understand when people complain about the price being a little high, but there is no doubt the visuals look better. The fps is literally doubling from 30-60fps at quality resolution in some games. Also, a $699 PC with 2TB and equivalent GPU would be much more expensive in reality.
Yep, for what we are getting, compared to a NEW PC equalling it on everything - including WiFI 7, 2TB Fast SSD etc etc I think it's decent. Bit of a shame about the drive, but that at least can be added if desired 🙂
They would rather buy a PC for $2000-3000 than a console. And then they try to prove to the whole world with a magnifying glass that they have a better picture. 😂
Finally someone with good points and realistic opinion. Everyone is crying about 800€ for “minor” differences, “who cares about some building in far distance which is bit sharper as they say 😂 Like dude, it’s not about little sharper building haha. If you have a nice tv and want your games to play on bigger resolution, or better fps, this is what I was looking for. If I want to play FF rebirth, in my case, I want to play it with best possible fps, or any other game like Wukong if they update it or whatever. I want MGS Snake Eater in pro version etc. Also about “it is too expensive”, yeah it’s not cheap, I guess depending where you live and how old are you. I am 35yo, have a regular job, sold my ps5 for 300€ month ago and I pre ordered ps5 pro, that 500€-600€ will not break my life and send me homeless. It’s not like I am buying 800€ console every month and yeah, I want to have the best one available till PS6 comes in 3 years or whatever, so it is very worth it to me.
I’m assuming most of you have seen the differences of the pro vs ps5 only on UA-cam, which compresses video quality. That’s why it won’t look as good. Watch it on a good 4K display.
Because they're probably scared. Fear is a very powerful emotion!! And remember, a big part of the PC gamer identity is that they are superior, the "Master Race" and all that. Then this console comes along and leapfrogs 99% of the PC gamer population for power, performance and optimisation... AND does it while being way cheaper AND way more accessible for a casual audience. Like I said, fear is powerful emotion, and so is pride for that matter. Also, PS5 Pro will be the best place play Grand Theft Auto VI when it launches in 2025 (without having to wait 18-24 months for a PC port). So, there's that too.
I can't wait for the reviews over time showing gamers that they were wrong to downplay the Pro. I have an ROG ally, and it cost me $700. The Pro is giving a lot more for your buck if you can afford it.
Camaro vs. a Camaro SS. There IS a difference and it's worth it for those willing to pay more for more power. Simple as that. I'll be getting the Pro day one.
I think the PS5 Pro is worth it, am I biased? Absolutely but that doesn’t take away the fact that this is a step up and the hate around the price or whatever can’t change that. 30th bundle try hard over here and not gonna scalp because that not the way it was meant to be but was tempted to be honest.
ps5 pro totally worth it , i'm a pc games , but 2 years ago got the ps5 cuz of the ps plus premium subs, played tons of stuff that i wanted, and i knew is a waste of money to buy them cuz i'm gonna play them just once, that's said i preorder the ps5 pro ( cuz i'm using 4k oled 120 hz for gamig ) and gift my ps5 to my sis hah

In regard to playing in 8k. As a sim racer and a lover of GT7, I can tell you that we tend to sit far closer to the screen when racing, than when playing non racing games. Most sim racers tend to race with a wheel and pedal set which is attached to a racing rig, situated very close to a screen, taking up the players field of view. I race with a 55inch LG C1 Oled tv and an increase in resolution would be noticeable and appreciated when playing many racing titles. Btw, I have preordered the Pro and very much looking forward to it.
I get that the pro is expensive But $700 is what Canadians in the rest of the world have been paying for consoles for years and years now. And tell me how successful you would be to find a graphics card for under $500 that can do 4K at 60 FPS and Ray tracing as well as AI built into the architecture. GPUs under 500 bucks are generally rated at 1440p so.... I doubt they're even making a hundred bucks per console and they're certainly not going to subsidize a mid generation refresh. And it' is called Pro and literally a niche product while the base model still remains for sale at a more reasonable and accessible price. You can't expect free forever.
Agreed! I think it's good value - and yep, we live in this super entitled world where so many people want everything for nothing. Even if Sony gave a bar of solid GOLD with every console a load of people would complain it wasn't shiny enough!
Hey brother your video are amazing keep up the work and reason people can't understand why the pro is amazing is because they keep be in the past lol they think it the PlayStation 3 day allover again
I decided to wait for the PS5 Pro 4 years ago. So my upgrade from the base PS4 will be well earned. IMO a lot is relying on this PSSR, and as optimistic as I want to be the fact remains we've no idea what the future will bring. But if it lives up to the critics reviews, then I'm glad I waited. I also agree, 800euros (in my case) isn't that much. I've got through 3 phones over the 9 years I've had my base PS4. People are also complaining about the newly remastered games, I've 2 thoughts on this: 1. I'm perfectly happy to play those games again. I'd rather see Far Cry 3 or 4 or even Far Cry Primal get the treatment than another mess like the last 3 Far Cry games. And 2. I suppose it gives developers a chance to understand what PSSR is capable of before diving into a new project. A final thought: what if this PSSR can smooth out bugs on prematurely released games? No small thing indeed. Truly a game changer.
Yep I think it's good value too considering what we are getting - and I don't mind the games many have played before getting upgrades - my PS5 backlog is huge and a lot of those games are still on my 'to play' list, so I'm super looking forward to it!
I owned a PS4 pro then moved over to the series S then dicted console gaming for pc gaming but now I am deciding to go and get a ps5 pro because it's interesting and I wanna see how everything progresses from here, will Sony use the same GPU on the ps6 and use zen 5 on the ps6, will Sony upgrade the GPU and use a zen 3 CPU with 3D vcache, will Sony keep the same GPU but upgrade the CPU to zen 4 3D Vcache, there is so many interesting opportunities with the ps6 and I'm excited. 3D Vcache is the next step to be added into a gaming console, when a console is just purely focused on gaming it has to have 3D Vcache implemented onto it, imagine how much better consoles could be if it was implemented.
Actually I was a little jealous when the PS4 Pro was released and I decided to stay with my base. After games are released we start to see the real differences in performance and we will see the same with the PS5 Pro! I'm expecting to see more performance boosts and if you're a long time PlayStation gamer with an extensive library I think this makes a lot of sense! I have mine pre-ordered so I'm excited for Nov 7! Also I don't know if Sony will really be targeting a PS6 release anytime soon. I would say just look at the level of detail and graphics capabilities today. I don't think there's a reason to upgrade from the PS5 Pro, especially for awhile. Many people have been enjoying PS4 and PS4 Pro well into the release of the PS5 and have missed very much.
Yep, only a month a bit to go!! Agreed about the PS6 - it could be a while - if you look at the jump from PS4 Pro to PS5 it is pretty significant - and to get a similar leap from PS5 Pro to PS6 and keep the price sensible - could be a while!
definitely on board with the hardware but i feel like the team behind Hogwarts’ Legacy did not at all understand the assignment. i hope there’s a minimum of publishers who follow their example
ps5 pro will be a nice upgrade. However, Most people including myself could care less. Performance mode looks very nice, and gives 60 in nearly every game. That's more than good enough. Rather spend that extra money on games!
@@DaveTheeMan-wj2nk Have you seen the performance mode in Final Fantasy Rebirth? It looks terrible. Can’t wait to play the game on the Pro, where it looks absolutely phenomenal, running at 60 fps.
@@Jamic9 And that's ok, you care about that. ALlot of us don't. I don't play that game, I watched video ofit tho and it looks great to me. You have a hire desire for even better fidelity. Nothing wrong with that, you're the target audience. Get whatever it is that makes you happy.
@@DaveTheeMan-wj2nk Fair enough I hear what you’re saying. However, I do struggle to understand scenarios, when a game runs so badly in performance mode, with poor low resolution graphics or bad frame-rates or sometimes both, and the masses don’t see it. @@Jamic9 you know, I had a 4090 gaming pc. I worked at microcenter and got a great deal on a PNY model XLR8. had a 7800x3d the works. So I sold the system and got a car instead XD I'm 35 years old and I've been playing games for a long, lONG Time. I just want to come home, have a physical disk, pop it in and just play. And honestly graphics aren't something I care about as much as I used to. I just want the game to be fun. I can see the fraustration. However I think Final fantasy is quite an exotic situation. most of them in performance mode look clear and run great. I don't play final fantasy so I wouldn't really know lol. I'm that guy playing Astro bot more than anything. The reality is allot of people just really don't care. They just want to play the game and that's more than enough. I might get a ps5 pro eventually if the price comes down. But I have to have a disk drive, and $800 O.O before tax is just not anywhere near acceptable to me. But the option isn't completely gone. It'll go down in price eventually. That's when I'll sell the base and "upgrade" just cause it's cheap enough. Till then? To me? games already look good enough and I'm satisfied. The man who wants nothing, has everything right? LMAO!!
It's funny how people will say things like,"it's 2024, and we're still getting games at 30fps." Then, when a company tries to improve the base framerate, people say, "There's no difference in the picture quality." You literally can't win with these types. Make up your mind, people. Do you want better graphics or more frames?
It's true! Hopefully with the Pro this will give people the best of both worlds as the games will be built for the base PS5 first, meaning the Pro should be able to push the fidelity graphics mode and performance 60FPS at the same time without the need for choice 🙂
@@honestrob based on the hands-on previews I've seen from Digital Foundry, it looks like we'll be getting not only a boost in frames but slightly in fidelity as well. And it's all happening at the same time. I'm very excited.
I bet in the next few year when technology get better and we can replace our eye to see in better views then 8k be like 4k to us then every one be charged how they see 8k
I’ll wait first to see how the Ps5 Pro will run GTA 6, Crimson Desert, Marvel Hydra and other upcoming demanding titles. I’m not gonna spend 800$ to play games I already finished or to a 30fps machine, if they’ll run at 60 then I’m gonna buy it.
I wouldnt waste 1 sec listening to these idiots who are complaining. They literally want this machine for 399$😂 And if you cant see a difference you should go to a doctor
It's ok not to justify one - especially those who don't get bothered by 30FPS in Quality mode on the base PS5 - I hate 30FPS though so foe me it's EXACTLY what I want (well... would have preferred a drive on it too, but can add that later if required). You only live once! 🙂
to reduce the cost. For example, when i got my ps5, my vertical stand went straight to my closet, and i have never once used the disc drive. Why pay for something i never use? Simple. I'm glad sony started doing this.
They are not supplying the stand because it is causing ps5's to overheat. Go look it up, it has happened to many ps5's. The cooling is better when the console is placed horizontally
They could have bundled the Pro with a disk drive for $50. Instead, I had to buy a disk drive at full price. That felt unfair, considering the upcharge on the Slim is $50. The stand is irrelevant to me as I always position my consoles horizontally. The PS4 Pro vertical stand was optional and no one complained about it.
@@AaronWOfficial I keep my PS5 horizontal so there's no chance of the liquid metal leaving dry spots on the APU. But I think the problem has been exaggerated. After all, PC users routinely use liquid metal on vertical mother boards.
PS6 probably WILL be 900 in 5 years due to inflation and how things go up... it's called 'how the world works'. $480 approx in 2020 is $580 approx NOW - what the base PS5 would cost if it was launched TODAY, so with all the extra SSD, WIFI 7 etc etc of the PS5 Pro, it's basically barely $100 more for an awful lot of goodness!
I think the real problem is developers. Modern devs just don’t seem to do the things they should to optimize games. The base ps5 isn’t even being taken full advantage of. The pro is just going to be devs throwing PSSR at whatever build they have and calling it a day. That alone makes it not worth it.
Because better hardware exists elsewhere it can't be a game changer in gaming as a whole. Period..... Buttttt for PlayStation players who will not or are not willing to leave the platform, it really doesn't matter what the price is go for what you want. Because I can guarantee you the PS6 and PS7 won't be nearly as intriguing offers as what exist now.
I'd like to sell you a Cheeseburger for $699.00. You can have a slim Hamburger for $599.00, but who doesn't want cheese? The condiments will be extra tho.
You can do what you did on literally anything lol... But something more accurate to think on is that $480 in 2024 (PS5 approx base cost) adjusting for inflation is $580 now. Pro is only $100 more than PS5 og if released today..
Stop the nonsense!!! It will be a bit better but you will play the same games at the end of the day and you will not be thinking about any of those features at all!!! Save yourself a lot of money if you already have a base PS5 and just enjoy what you already have which is an amazing hardware…
That's like saying why bother with a PS5 when the PS4 Pro is still really good - after all it's just mostly the same games a bit better at the end of the day right? PS5 IS amazing still for sure, but there is a LOT more to the Pro than just games that apparently will look 'a bit better'. When did you play one to confirm? Watching YT videos as a guide is like saying I know how 4K looks like as I've seen a DVD before and 4K is the same just a bit better so save your money lol
@@davidjames5096 It will be just a bit difference and that’s it!!! Specs are clear and if people had the PS4 were a nonsense to get the pro… Just change the consoles when there is a new generation and that’s it!!! But if you are a not wise person who love to throw money for almost nothing relevant, just proceed. I will be playing the same games as you will on my base model and I’m sure it’ll be good enough to save myself more than $500…
If ps5 pro didn't have 2tb NVME, it wouldn't be worth it. If you already upgraded your base ps5 to a 2tb NVME, ps5 pro is not worth it. We are talking about a minor performance bump in fidelity mode, for over 200 dollars more. They should have upgraded the cpu and made it 750 - 800 dollars. Who wants bottlenecked graphics for 700 dollars?
Not worth it to you, for whatever reason. People need to stop giving blanket opinions as if it is fact. It really is quite pathetic and insecure of them.
@@davidjames5096 It is fact though, I know what I am talking about I build pc's for fun lol. Consoles are not magic, they use the exact same architecture as a PC (x86). The shared memory APU is not unique, laptops have had the same tech for years. I am telling you as someone who knows about hardware, a zen 2 cpu is a severe bottleneck for 4k gaming and pumping more power into the GPU isn't gonna do much with that cpu. It will provide more than 30 fps in current games, but it won't be stable 60 it will be 50 - 60 with a 60 cap. And future games are going to struggle even more, probably be 40 - 60 as the gen closes. What a lot of you console noobs don't realise, is the cpu needs to queue frames for the graphics card to render. If the cpu can't keep up (it has many other tasks to do alongside queueing frames, for example AI is pretty demanding on a cpu, it is one of the reasons why dragon's dogma 2 performs so poorly capcom themselves even admitted this), the graphics card will be limited in what it can do because the cpu will already have it's work cut out for it (this is what bottleneck means). Not only that, but you don't even have 16gb vram available since the ram is shared between the processor and the graphics chip. At best you have around 10gb vram available for the gpu, and that is only on gpu bound games. Black Myth Wukong uses more than 12gb vram at native 4k with ray tracing, and that is not going to be anywhere near as demanding as GTA 6. GTA 6 is going to be cpu bound, all GTA games in the past have been since they are large open world games with a lot of complex AI simulation going on (more so than even some of the biggest RPG games). This means it will likely need minimum 8gb ram for cpu, which leaves you only 8gb for the VRAM. 8GB VRAM is not enough to run 4k smoothly, go look up any 8gb graphics card and watch how it runs some of the latest games and you will see how bad it is. GTA 6 will be 30 fps, count on it.
@@AaronWOfficial What a lot of you PC noobs don't realize is, that consoles like the Pro have lots of custom stuff going on like PSSR which means a lot of the strain is removed from the CPU.
Some very good points there, especially regarding the price of the parts and how the Pro will help that way. Thanks for the comment 🙂
@@justalex4571 It's sad but true 🙂
@justalex4571 🤣🤣😭‼️
You can't built a high end PC at the Same price of the PS5 PRO, it was already confirmed than is imposible to do that
It certainly isn't the only reason, but i hope the doc strike doesn't make my pro end up sitting in a shipping container somewhere for months
😲 🚢🚢🤞
Yep, totally looking forward to it myself! Only a month go till Pro! 😀
I’m assuming most of you have seen the differences of the pro vs ps5 only on UA-cam, which compresses video quality. That’s why it won’t look as good.
Watch it on a good 4K display.
Yep, what we are seeing in videos will be MASSIVELY better in real life. Can't wait!
Yep probably all true to be fair. I always found it weird a lot of PC owners were like that - very strange behaviour! 😀
I can't wait for the reviews over time showing gamers that they were wrong to downplay the Pro. I have an ROG ally, and it cost me $700. The Pro is giving a lot more for your buck if you can afford it.
I think it's really good value actually considering everything and what it costs to get something similar regarding games 🙂
Camaro vs. a Camaro SS. There IS a difference and it's worth it for those willing to pay more for more power. Simple as that. I'll be getting the Pro day one.

I'm interested to see the 8K mode - literally! And looking forward to the Pro too! November can't come quick enough!
Once ppl see streamers playing on it they will want one.
Or cry even more I CAN'T SEE THE DIFFERENCE 😂😂😂
@honestrob that could be very true too lol
Thank you! And yep, really looking forward to the Pro!
Your going to shit yourself, it'll be so good.🎉😅
I owned a PS4 pro then moved over to the series S then dicted console gaming for pc gaming but now I am deciding to go and get a ps5 pro because it's interesting and I wanna see how everything progresses from here, will Sony use the same GPU on the ps6 and use zen 5 on the ps6, will Sony upgrade the GPU and use a zen 3 CPU with 3D vcache, will Sony keep the same GPU but upgrade the CPU to zen 4 3D Vcache, there is so many interesting opportunities with the ps6 and I'm excited.
I pre ordered day one , i don't think its expensive tbh. these little handhelds sell for like £1000 with less than half of the power.
Exactly! And for the years of top notch games it is going to give, I can't wait!

LMAO!!
Yep it's not for everyone, but nice to have the option 🙂

It's ok not to justify one - especially those who don't get bothered by 30FPS in Quality mode on the base PS5 - I hate 30FPS though so foe me it's EXACTLY what I want (well... would have preferred a drive on it too, but can add that later if required). You only live once! 🙂
I’m a bit mad that the disc drive is separate but why not add the freaking stand??? I already preordered but geez Sony really..
Not supplying the stand does seem pretty tight I have to say!!
to reduce the cost.
The point of consoles was an affordable price 700 for the same system from 4 years ago is ridiculous, now image the ps6 in 5 years 900$ ???!!
@@davidjames5096 True! People don't tend to see things like that to be fair

🎮🏆 Pro for the win! Can't wait! 😁
I think the real problem is developers. Modern devs just don’t seem to do the things they should to optimize games. The base ps5 isn’t even being taken full advantage of. The pro is just going to be devs throwing PSSR at whatever build they have and calling it a day. That alone makes it not worth it.
But that is not what is actually happening - it's just what you would prefer to happen just so you can complain and cope more lol
