It's so rare these days for music to evoke such powerful emotions from me. I listened to this song for the first time today and I only have one word - magical. This song is absolutely magical, there is no other word to describe it. I love how the piano and strings compliment the singing in the verses and set out the emotion for the song. And in the drop it's like, all of those built up emotions are let out. This song completely made my day, thank you Rival

Bro my writers heart is palpitating so much listening to this. The lyrics and vibe fits one of my characters so we'll it's amazing. It envokes such a tragic sadness, as well as a feeling of grief and disbelief, which is exactly how she feels in the story I want to write. This song is absolutely perfect.

To be honest, I felt like all of this was supposed to bring some sort of a message, philosophy different to each and every one...And, I got mine.
So, there's this man that watches rocks falling down throughout the video, we're never shown his face or anything, therefore we can place ourselves in his place. He sang about not being able to learn to let something go, *not being able to learn to ever let it die.* That something can be absolutely anything - love interest, addiction such as smoking, depression over something and so on. I think that that 'something' is the rocks in the video.
Now, the visuals are astonishing here not only because they're epic as hell, but also because they have meaning! You see, rocks, they never fully fall down, they keep getting retracted to their starting point, so that way we see the rocks flying up and down in the video (the action doesn't finish). This means the man can't let go of something, which prevents the rocks to finally fall down into the abyss down there, but the man wants that to finish '(Will I ever learn to let it go?'), since it makes his life impossible and monotonous (rocks never falling down, always repeating their unfinished 'float').
I hope you could understand something from my explanation of the video's philosophy/message, I'm just overflowed with emotion after watching.

I listened to this song on the day my parrot died. I had been with him for many years and he was my closest friend, I was absolutely shattered because I had not seen him in months due to COVID. This song helped me get though it. From rival’s beautiful production and Philip’s awe inspiring vocals. I get reminded of him and get so emotional whenever I listen to this. Thank you both so much.
