The Incredible Plague Dream of Raskolnikov

- Near the end (in the Epilogue) of Dostoesky’s great work Crime and Punishment, we find an interesting dream which precedes the murderer Raskolnikov’s long awaited conversion. This dream seems to have come true in our times. Raskolnikov converted not long after this dream. He realized he was not one of the relativistic elites, seeking to purify the earth (recall in murdering the old pawnbroker woman he wanted to purify the earth of her type)… but rather that he himself was in need of the King of Truth. Truth took up its place in his heart. Peace followed even as he faced a long sentence in a hard Siberian Prison. It may be that this terrible dream come true in our times will end similarly… the conversion of Russia, with the long awaited Triumph of Mary’s Immaculate Heart to follow in the age of peace.

An uncle of mine went through something similar (artificial coma and ventilator). He spent some time in that condition, but they revived him when the symptoms went away. After leaving the hospital, he just rested for a few weeks and eventually fully recovered. Keep your hopes in Christ, I'm sure he'll be alright.

I listened to archbishop Fulton sheen give a talk on this man, warning us to PAY ATTENTION!
Purification is coming, padre pio used to say, if sin doesn't come out at the altar with the blood of God, is going to came out in the streets with the blood of Man...Many people don't know but the church is going to go through many purifications, every time we go through one. We came one step closer to what God intended when he stabllish his church.... We must not forget all is in God's hands... Let's just be ready spiritualy...

Wilson had a lot of medical problems. It was only a few months later I think that he was debilitated by a stroke in Colorado. Maybe the flu caused the medical conditions that led to the stroke?

In the U.S. the covid-19 has killed and played havoc. However, the people's denial of reality and the truth of how dangerous it is has caused it to be magnified. In countries who take it seriously we find that its is better controlled I.e New Zealand and Taiwan, but in other country's like the U.S. it has spread like wildfire and people fight over the common sense things as wearing a mask in public setting and social distancing. We are blaming the media, who informs us because we fear reality and want to bury our heads. If you going to mention CNN, mention Fox who has admitted they lie ( in court) and people should know not to take particular host seriously. They have clearly misrepresented the reality and truth, deflected and people have taken them seriously and 230,000 people have died. Remember the President has acknowledged the numbers, his chief of staff has recognized the reality of what is going on yet us, religious people think things its overblown and fake and it's all the media fault. No it's our willful and culpable ignorance which lends to all this craziness. Please. People wake up, function in reality and truth and be charitable to each other.
I think this is only an American thing. Catholics outside the US have no problem wearing masks or following instructions.

Priests and people in other country's simply see wear mask as a common sense thing to do, along with charity of neighbor. Basically many Christian are parroting the media, in particular Fox which spreads alot of misinformation and calls everything else and the reality fake.
Only 6% have died from COVID, the rest had other problems. The death rate for anyone under 60 is a tiny fraction of a percent. The olds and fats should be the ones quarantined. Everyone else should live as normal
New Zealand and Taiwan can regulate who enters into their country and force 14 day quarantines. We aren't an island nation

Christ said only God is good; no defects suggests perfection, not at all what any human can be this side of heaven; if you were to list your sins I suspect you'd have a few that would be judged as "hypocracy"...i suspect we all do...God has used sinners before, i suspect He'll use again in the future... Donald Trump is not perfect... nor are we...he does however love this country and is doing his level best to re-rail this train in spite those who are doing their best to destroy his efforts, and by the way, your future and my future as citizens in a free country.
