Welcome back
gorgeous instrument ❤
As more people keep getting out of the repair business, you can expect to start seeing a lot more of these crazy jobs.
Happy New Year. That is one Big ol' Clarinet.
Some Bass Clarinets have 3 more keys so you can play down to Low C. There are Low C Soprano Clarinets called Basset Clarinets. The Basset Horn is another name for F Alto Clarinet.
always wanted one of these; great vid
Hello Art,
Thank you for another great video. So nice to have you “back” on line.
I’ve been battling away trying to make a Selmer Bundy bass clarinet work again. No surprises that the octave mechanism is giving me trouble. I think my cork thicknesses are probably not right. If you can take a moment to talk about that and compare the instruments I’d greatly appreciate it.
Happy new year and all the best
Thanks.
I have 2 of these I purchased for a clarinet choir I am starting. They are excellent instruments. One of these plays well for every note except top space E. Now that I know you have experience with these, I know i can send it to you! Looking forward to the next part of this project.
Wow Art, this is a tedious job. You’re the best and that’s what you do.
Have a Happy New Year!
Happy New Year you have a nice Challenger😮
My high school has one of these.
Love these horns. Any tips on where to source them for a motivated buyer?
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO OUR PRECIOUS CLIPPY
Very happy to have you back. If you can provide more valuable knowledge, inform about piccolo and flute instruments repairing
Hi, Art! I did a few of these over my 26 years of repair. I always just shimmed the pads like a jumbo flute. Leblanc has the pad closing geometry worked out pretty good. One downside to those metal clarinets is that any body soldering has to be done at Leblanc.
