Welcome back! You where missed. I was actually looking if I saw you last time I was through your town (probably don’t remember that comment though 😅) Trollstigen is closed from fist snowfall until some time in May. One thing you can do is to take a ski trip down Gaustatoppen. You will be able to see 1/6 of Norway from there. All the way to Sweden on a cold day (the air is more clear on cold days). There is a small train inside the mountain to get you to the top if you don’t wish to walk up. It’s a restaurant up there too. It’s Norway’s 3rd or 4th highest peak and it’s just above the town I live in. Rjukan at winter is probably not that interesting. We lose the sun for 6 months because of the deep valley our town is in, but we do have a mirror in the mountain side to reflex some sun light down to our town square. Might be interesting. We also have a cable car that can take you up to the top of the mountain and to the sun. Many places around where you live is worth vlogging from. Locking forward to see what you will create. Oh, by the way… kidnapping cats now?🤣
Aww thank you very much 🤗🤗🤗 gosh I missed it too! Next time when you see me here feel free to come alone and say hello 😉 I see! Point! I’ll better wait till May then 🙂 I need to see it all green and nice 😁 I only keep the window open 😂 cos it’s really hot inside the house
Thank you so much for this video, Anna, was great again! Nice to see you back in Norway! If I can make any suggestions, I would love to see you in Trondheim. Love ancient places and I heard, Trondheim is quite old as well? And also: Can you talk more about the internet in Norway: Are there also usual contracts (as we know in UK for example) that provide you with an amount of upload/download data that you pay for or does it work different? And how expensive is the internet in Norway? Would love to hear back from you, but also wishing you the best and a great time!
It looks that you are in Kongsberg where we had this terrible bow and arrow attack killing five and injuring three recently. It is true that even in Norway there is a darker side.
So true Lars.. it happed right here. Poor people , I have no words.. you are right, it can happen anywhere in the world. We all need to appreciate our lives and enjoy it as long as we have it 🙂
4:25 Hold it !! 🤪 That was quite a brutal statement 😅 Maybe when it comes to declining invitations but I have experienced Norwegians to be pretty quickly offended. Just don't say anything negative about their country and especially never say something is better in your own country even if you for example know of a solution to a problem which the Norwegians haven't figured out yet but in your country they have than just say nothing. Leave it.. . And never tell anyone how to do his-her job if they have done that job longer than you. I once saw a colleague struggle for a long time with something I had struggled with as well but I found a really good solution to. He was what you could call a veteran but I wasn't a newbie just had considerable less years in that profession. So I went up to him expecting him to be happy that I found a solution to his problem. So I walk up to him and say : Do you know what you are doing wrong? .. There was 3 seconds of silence and than came an small earthquake. He got SO angry because he had done that work for 30 years and a nobody like me didn't have to tell him how to do his job. He didn't even want to listen to my solution. And in this case it was actually positive he reacted like this. Now I knew what I was up against. Often they just say nothing. They act like everything is ok but behind your back they hate your guts. That makes it even more difficult to know if you are doing something wrong. If you know than you can adjust..
In all honesty, the best way to experience Norway is road tripping ~4 weeks from south to north. So many cozy small villages on the way, and all the bigger cities is nice to, but the amazing nature and scenery on the way and all the small different cultures and dialects are nice too. Rent a Tesla model Y and you can camp in it on the way. And go Snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking, hiking, paragliding..😘

Hello there! I have two questions, I was told the cost of living is exceptionally high in Norway, 10 years ago a friend who was on exchange at BI in Oslo told me he paid 20 Canadian or USD equivalent for a cocktail. The other is a question or comment but.. will you do a comparison video between the Scandinavian countries? I'd love to see your opinion of how each of the 4 or 5 compare to each other culturally. cheers :) ps Norway does look like paradise, If I was born in another country and had my choice, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland would be the top ones, cheers
Aww 🤩🤩 thank you so much! Yes, small glass of wine in the restaurant here will cost you about €20 😉 which is a little higher than $20 😁 You have 2 choices: 1. Make your salary close to Norwegian 2. Stop drinking 😂 Comparison will be quite difficult, as I spent more than a year in Norway, Denmark- Sweden and Finland I was just visiting for a few days, so I don’t really know how it feels to actually live there 😉 But I’ll make something up, don’t worry 😁
yolo, no one's gonna get an extra chance of being born in another country! The only way is to get your head out of the clouds and make your dreams come true in this life! Guess, you meant Sweden up here, not Switzerland. sfmbe.
The biggest difference from Scandinavia in regards to the rest of the world is that the wages are higher because the cost of living is higher. Makes it pretty cool when going on vacation because suddenly “everything” becomes cheap in comparison. As a norwegian i often find myself laughing or in awe as to how the hell is it possible to put such prices on certain stuff. The real problem is actually that the system indirectly is built for people to be married, coop or make bank. It’s fine though.. you learn smart ways to not bankrupt yourself on stupid habits and poor investments and it’s not as expensive as it often is portrayed. the thing is it is easy thinking about what it cost in the rest of the world, but for those that have problems living up to the the bottom line, say single mother; Wealth fare and other support options will boost your economy up to the cost of living. Bureaucracy is in your favour and willing to help, especially when you know the system. I.e. i had a job with lousy pay, i could apply for national-living-support-organisation to cover higher housing fees and electricity, the cost of living as single is expensive, with lower than average wages, and the state would boost the rest up to normal cost of living. Saved my ass many times being hustled by a crooked boss, having police fines taken from my paycheck, season work, moving out etc. Say you paid all your house, electricity etc. bills, you document that you are now unable to live up to cost of living on a month to month basis. norway has an national cost of living (food, hygiene, medical, transport) about 8989 kroner i believe, ca. $75 thousand. So if you are suddenly unemployed, have economic crisis, the government as well as most people are in agreement that it’s the way it should be.. because on the other side of the scale they might make double your wages, have two incomes etc. It’s not as straightforward as that, but simplified. Couldn’t really pick up on the correct terminology in English. Also.. 2 am😅 Hope this helps. If you ever decide to visit, travel in groups for cheaper travel, stay away from tourist entrapment and plan out your trip and collective goals, do your research, save money. With price checks, airbnbs etc. bagging a cruise package is not necessarily a good idea and there is always better options. Travel will be upside down considering prices here are high because wages are high, other European countries and America are at an disadvantage due to lower wages in comparison and skyrocketed prices. Sound dramatic.. Also “tip” is included in all pricing in Scandinavian countries unlike the US, however, always appreciated but never expected. Remember that
I'm planning a trip back to Scandinavia this summer. I never been in Norway, but I will want to start in Oslo. I know it's expensive, but I'm hoping being 1/2 Swede will give me an advantage. All I really want to do is walk around the city center, and maybe go to a couple museums. Then I'll be off to Sweden and Finland to celebrate my birthday.

I would love to hear some tips for being able to live in Norway for an extended time (VISA requirements, work/employer requirements, leasing a place, etc)
Depends alot of where you are from. If you are from a European Union, you can freely move to Norway for 3 months looking for work. Manual labor, is quite easy to get... spesial in smal towns.
I was surprised to find out that California is 11.2 more expensive than Norway but then again it makes sense as there is roughly 40 million in California and there is roughly 5 million in Norway but still only slightly by 11.2 percent. That's crazy because I don't see things that entirely out of price range with regards to food and snacks and restaurants can be a casual weekly thing but in Norway it sounds like it could take half your rent.

We like museums, local culture, hikes, etc. What might you suggest for us to do in those places? Ciao!!
I'm thrilled you're back in Norway, but what is your permanent home? I know you travel for work, but where will you settle down when it is time?
Thank you very much, Antoine 🤗 well.. it’s still London and it’s still happening in a few months time. That’s why I’m enjoying every day in gorgeous Norway until it lasts 😉
I’m so happy to be back as you can see ☺️
Welcome back ❤😘
You should visit Kristiansand, Lillesand, Grimstad, Mandal... you know .... Sørlandet 😉 The part of the country Norwegians go on holiday 🌞⛱🌡
Thank you very much 🤗🤗
Great idea! I’ll give them a try 😉
Welcome back! You where missed. I was actually looking if I saw you last time I was through your town (probably don’t remember that comment though 😅)
Trollstigen is closed from fist snowfall until some time in May.
Next time when you see me here feel free to come alone and say hello 😉
I see! Point! I’ll better wait till May then 🙂 I need to see it all green and nice 😁
I only keep the window open 😂 cos it’s really hot inside the house
Thank you so much for this video, Anna, was great again! Nice to see you back in Norway!
If I can make any suggestions, I would love to see you in Trondheim. Love ancient places and I heard, Trondheim is quite old as well?
And also: Can you talk more about the internet in Norway: Are there also usual contracts (as we know in UK for example) that provide you with an amount of upload/download data that you pay for or does it work different? And how expensive is the internet in Norway?
Would love to hear back from you, but also wishing you the best and a great time!
Thank you very much 🤗 I’m so happy you enjoyed it 🙂❤️
It looks that you are in Kongsberg where we had this terrible bow and arrow attack killing five and injuring three recently. It is true that even in Norway there is a darker side.
So true Lars.. it happed right here. Poor people , I have no words..
you are right, it can happen anywhere in the world. We all need to appreciate our lives and enjoy it as long as we have it 🙂
happy because you are back to norway
i was expecting like Oslo, not Kongsberg fun to see my hometown in a video :D
You should visit Molde. Just an hour from Ålesund. Spectacular views and hiking opportunities. And the region’s best craft beer bar
Trollstigen is closed during the winter.
❤👍 Welcome back ❣😊 🇧🇻

Omg, this purr is so strong
My family is in Ålesund ! I’m in Utah in the U.S. He was in the resistance during the war
As always, great edit video. Lucky you who can travel and explore lot's of countries and cultures. Enjoy your stay. 👍👍
Nice video my dear and keep it up like 597
Trollstigen is closed in the winter... Open again mai or juni, depends on how much snow there is😋
Thank you so much 🤗🤗
Ok! I’ll wait till spring then ☺️
4:25 Hold it !!
These facts and stuff you make about Norway are so on point, and only after 1 year here, thats amazing ;) Have you ever been in Tønsberg? The oldest city in Norway, not a very big city tho, but we got a viking museum, an old castle, and some other cool stuff to look at ;) You should add it to your trip sometime ;) keep up the great vids, your amazing ;)
Aww thank you so much 🤗🤗 ohh yes! Love Tøngsberg marina 🤩 so relaxing and atmospheric! How is it winter time by the way? Worth coming? 😉
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel You do, thats awsome :D Yeah, "bygga" as we call it, is filled to the brim in the summer, so much happiness and love going around then

Same! Snowboarding and I’ll definitely try cross country ski this year 😉
@@georgec7899 🤩🤩 Edinburgh! I can’t wait to visit your second home 🙂 I’ve heard it’s absolutely fantastic!
I’ve also heard that Scotland has much more in common with Norway than with England 🙄 is this true? ☺️
Your paintings?? Wow! That’s amazing! Is this what you do for a living or your hobby? 🙂
I heard Trolls road is closed because it's too dangerous in winter...Come to Kristiansand instead :D
Thanks for the video! The cat Is amazing! :)
Tip: If you’re in Kongsberg, you have to try wood oven food truck pizza. It’s either located around energimølla or Kiwi nummedalsveien. It’s a yellow food truck and he’s there only from Friday-Sunday every week. I’m telling you, it’s probably one of the worlds best 👍🏼🤗
Welcome back 👌😊
Professional, amusing, and informative video. THUMBS UP! 👏👏👏
Aww thank you so much Samir 🤗🤗 I’m happy you enjoyed it ❤️
I want to see Bergen and what you think about it. I have familia there and they want us to move there.
Are you planning to visit Lofoten?
U shoud visit Tromso "fløya" and all The mountains around "tromsøya"
You should go to Bodø, second biggest city in north of Norway, and the capital of the Nordland county region in Norway. From there you can visit the Lofoten Islands just beyond the fjord, and also see the Saltstraumen maelstrom, the world's strongest whirlpool tidal current. Also, the football team Bodø/Glimt won the national series two years in a row, if you are interested in football/soccer. In 2024, Bodø is also the Capital of Culture in Europe.
3:17 really? damn, i better tell my neighbor who kept going from 11-12 am to 9 10 pm everyday for months.
4:12 surely that's the case in most of the world
Till 10pm 🤨 no way!!! That’s way too much 😁
Hopefully he’ll finish everything soon 😉 seems like he’s working really hard!
I would like to run the midnight sun marathon in Tromso. Maybe do a video on the midnight sun phenomenon.
Fløyen is a nice walk for sure Anna :-)
Welcome back🇳🇴 🥰👏 Please come back to Tromso and I'll take you with me on a northern lights tour while you are here 😀🌌👏
Could you able to discuss about weather in Norway
I have a playlist about winter in Norway 😉😁
ever been to a lofoten viking museum in Leknes? amazing stories there
Noooo… not yet ☺️ it was closed due to pandemic when I visited Lofoten 🥺
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel well you are in for a treat I would say ^^ my dream is to be an "actor" in a viking festival play where you sparr with viking swords and wearing viking cloths ^^ lol Yeah i'm kinda like a geek when it comes to viking stuff
Which do you prefer; western, eastern, northern or southern Norway?
All of them 🤩🤩🤩 Norway is absolutely gorgeous up and down 😁 love the Northern lights in Tromsø and Lofoten, love colourful Bergen ☺️
Planning to discover this fantastic country even more 😉
What’s your favourite place in Norway? Or places? 🙂
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel Being from western Norway, I have to stick with that. Hardangerfjorden, maybe!
Watching from saudi arabia... Love ur videos
Aww thank you so much!!
Saudi 🤩🤩 how interesting! I always wanted to visit your country one day 🙂
Cool down the Kvikk Lunsj down to zero degrees, or maybe below, and it will give a taste of heaven!
Melkesjokolade is a bit boring. Why not Firkløver? Same chocolate, but with added hazelnuts.
Yes, small glass of wine in the restaurant here will cost you about €20 😉 which is a little higher than $20 😁
You have 2 choices: 1. Make your salary close to Norwegian 2. Stop drinking 😂
Comparison will be quite difficult, as I spent more than a year in Norway, Denmark- Sweden and Finland I was just visiting for a few days, so I don’t really know how it feels to actually live there 😉
But I’ll make something up, don’t worry 😁
yolo, no one's gonna get an extra chance of being born in another country! The only way is to get your head out of the clouds and make your dreams come true in this life! Guess, you meant Sweden up here, not Switzerland. sfmbe.
I was in Sweden for 6 weeks years ago. It would not be the top of my list but close. The people were too reserved for my liking
@@davidf7076 maybe they were just sober 🙄
Also.. 2 am😅
Hope this helps.
I recommend the sculpture park in Oslo.
When are you going to Sandefjord, my home town?
Kjell Agnar
I came to Norway
Well done you 😉👍🏻
Hey🥰 can you please visit trondheim in desember. It is cold but has a lovely christmas market. You can also visit when is summer. It Is the best city in the world🥰🇳🇴
You made my wish to go Norway much stronger, I saw a few videos of you!, Btw as an non EU native, is it difficukt to move there and also is it hard to study
Hi,I’m planing to move to Norway soon…Choosing between Bergen or Stavanger☺️ What would you suggest?
I read that the weather is similar, the cost of living is similar to,but what about social life!?? Is it possible to rent a place before you come to Norway?
Tnx in advance all of you🙌🏻☺️
Come to Måløy on the northwest coast :-)
🤩🤩 great idea! Thank you 🤗
You rae right, fashion in Norway is less about how the clothes look and more about how you wear them.
Attitude is all.
Hey Anna,
Do you know any more sites like tv NRK ?
Cheers
I don’t even know what’s NRK 😁 sorry 🙂
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel lol all good : ) I think NRK is Norwegian national TV and they got Netflix like site online. Good place to learn Norwegian
@@bkbergesenthanks! USA is my home country
I watch your video every day,
