Encore works great for me. I love the pools. I boondock on my weeks out. Roughing it. But love coming back to the resorts to do laundry and enjoy full hook-ups and the pool. There's plenty to choose from that are great especially when being a full-time camper.
John and Mandy, Thank You for sharing. We looked into Thousand Trails and after doing dedicated research, watching other video's of other full timer's that TT and the "Encore" add-on wasn't for us. Hopefully other's will come across your video and other UA-cam full timer channels reviews of TT and the additional "add-on's" will help them make an informed decision. Safe Travels!
Thank you for this info , I am new to the RV with my new Travel Trailer and am considering To Thousand trails with the encore package for the South East as I am in NC.
Lol I’m leaving lake Myers’s tomorrow the main gate dropped on me half way through no damage to me though really tight here and most spots are permanent residents I was only here 5 days didn’t even hook up sewer it was up hill and water and electric are on passenger side. I don’t mind amenities or anything just decent place to park I can find things to do so tt was a good choice for me
we have an Elite Basic membership. Gave up the Trails Collection 3 years ago. Found it was over priced and we did not care for most of the Encore parks. e have found if you only get the basic membership, you don't feel obligaed to use it all the time. The TT membership, without Encore, is very cost effective, even just using it for 35% of our camping.
I heard a lot about Encore, but not much about the Trails collection. We never renewed Encore after the first year it was free because we never used it years ago. Isn't the Trails Collection is fairly new and different from Encore? How are the TC? We have considered adding that on so that we have more camping options. Thanks for sharing.
Trails collection has been around for a while now. It's an addition of 100+ campgrounds, mostly Encore campgrounds and a few Thousand Trails campgrounds not available through the regular Thousand Trails camping pass. Good to have if you are traveling a lot, even if some of the campgrounds are neglected to a degree. Thanks for watching!
Since I am a weekend warrior I dont see a benefit to the membership. I do stay at some thousand trails properties, just not enough to justify the cost. I will take your recommendations when booking locations
It differs from park to park as there is no consistency. Thousand Trails is not very responsive to feedback in our experience at least. As full-time RVers we continue to use the membership as there really isn't a better option for the price. Thanks for watching!
Thats the problem for me Is I have checked them out on Google and watched hundreds of videos for over a year I can't find out how the membership works or where the Parks are No one will just simply explain any of this
@@carolmaplesden916 carol if you look up the UA-camr called Suit travels they have a couple good videos and I think they can answer all your questions.
Please include The Trails Collections locations for us. Thank you.

Glad we could be of some help. Thanks for watching! Happy camping!
Thousand Trails is a no brainer for full timers. It makes the lifestyle so affordable. Just my opinion after seven years of membership.

How far in advance can you make your reservation with the Trails Collection?
Sixty to ninety days in advance depending on which Trails collection membership you have. Thanks for watching!

The cost of the Camping Pass is recouped with about two weeks stay.
Sounds like it differs from park to park. Is Thousand Trails responsive to feedback?

With all this negative I still think once you learn the system and parks you can still save a lot of money.
Agreed. Thanks for watching!
