I prefer the scene in Bowser's Inside Story where the Bros. feign illness to see Dr. Toadley. Luigi just goes all the way by clutching his chest and screaming agonizingly as if he needed to be rushed to the E.R. 😂😂😂
He probably just really wanted them to have badges for marketing purposes. I mean, if the constantly-world-saving heros are using them, they're probably really useful.
The only Mario & Luigi games I own are Bowser's Inside Story (DS) and Paper Jam Bros. I lost my copy of BIS though (I think). I really hope to be able to play this game some day

This guy did NOT pass his marketing course
Is that supposed to be a class of some kind in school?
Bowser would had punched him the moment he said 1000 coins
Monsieur Turtle Bits has had easier dealings with Brocks.
His first mistake was cutting the price by half. It let the Bros. know that they were dealing with a desperate man

Sometimes you gotta conspire and work together to get what you both want. This is 100% sibling approved.

Imo the funniest M&L moment was in Superstar Saga where the conversion of 99999999999999 mushroom coins was 99 beanbean coins.
The classic law of ice, never fails.
Literally my friend when I streamed him my playthrough he said "What a pair of mfs" and I loved just how cheap they were here LMAO
Funniest? No. Hilarious? Indeed.
I approve that this scene is a certified hood classic
Mario and Luigi moment
The Bros are just master negotiators.
Then there's that moment with the old man from the beach. When he says he will help if they pay him, M&L just walk away lmao

Dang, The Bros. Knew what they were doing

Honestly, in BiS, 1000 coins for a pair of badges is a pretty good deal.
Unless it's the first pair, then he's just being a jerk.

nah it's just a bit of a cliche in general
I wish Dreamteam had more jokes like this tbh. Way too many of them are just Dreambert cringing at the character of the week/current segment.
Bargaining at a turkish market:
