I had the same problem with the large j hook , make sure the back end of the cradle is slightly up, after that the hook actually popped in easily just like in the video.

Mine won’t go that tiny hair it needs for cap to close. It’s annoying

Did you figure it out? I can't get my clip to click! I have duct tape currently holding it together @@ninjamasterflex

I struggled at first but after watching the video again I noticed the part about the cradle , which should be emphasized more . Lifting it up slightly makes the difference .

I've applied substantial effort to get the blade all the way in at 0:30, and it still doesn't go - not all the way. The cap doesn't close.
(It's a 14" Silicone Endura blade for 2015 Prius C. With the adapter out of the blade, I can get it all the way in, yet the adapter housing stops it from happening when the adapter is in the blade.)
When I say "substantial" (effort) - it's what it is, quite substantial. Any more - and I'll break it. Not sure if it's this specific blade that's defective - or the design.
    Any suggestions?

Got the other blade, 28" - same issue. Put my work gloves on, put my back into it, the blade still doesn't snap into place, doesn't go those last few millimeters.
It's a known issue going back a few years, too - lots of people including auto mechanics have had it, and it appears Rain-X couldn't care less. Google "rain-x silicone endura j-hook installation problem", see all the Reddit results. Returning the blades.

Having the same issue on my 2012 Prius with the 19" passenger side blade. Highly annoying.

The click won’t snap into place without breaking every time
