I am SO shocked that Mazda make an inline 6! I can't recall if they've done that before. It brings to my mind fond memories of old BMW and Jaguar I-6 engines. The sound of this one makes me WANT to experience this for myself. Jenn should work for Mazda: I like this magic copy-and-enlarge idea in car design idea! There was nothing wrong with classic BMW's "same sausage in different lengths" school of exterior design. This latest iteration of a Mazda makes me long for the days when Mazda made those irresistible concept cars in the '80s and ''90s. The dark red colour IS the right one for this car. To me, dark red is THE colour for luxury cars. Aloha, you two!
It's their first inline 6 engine, the largest displacement they've built, and the most overall power! At least for a mass-market consumer vehicle. It's funny, we spotted a Buick Enclave Avenir in a similar shade of dark red yesterday while we were out in this. Definitely pops! I hope Mazda can sort out the small flaws with this, otherwise it's a seriously good 3 row crossover with a lot going for it.
I have this trim and my ride is a lot smoother and the performance is spot on with 93 octane gas. Almost looks like you have over inflated tires or the shipping spacers were left in from the factory. My tires were over inflated when I purchased it in May.
It's possible, but considering these vehicles come directly from Mazda Canada I have to believe that they've set them up properly to begin with. I'm not entirely sure why we had the experience we did with the suspension.
Not bad at all! Might be some fake sound pumped in but it works out well. I tried to keep the car as economical as possible during the week so we didn't get to hear much of the engine.
I've done about a dozen videos on the Channel in the past 12 months, along with editing the new car videos from James. I am back in press cars, starting with last week's video on the 2023 Mazda CX-50!
That was definitely Mazda’s intention. I know a lot of the initial reviews talked about how this was their X5/X7, and it is a beautiful design in and out, but they’re still not quite at that premium level.

I think that a software update will take care of the shifting and engine off issues.
I hope it can!

That inline 6 sounds nice!

awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The addition of your wife (?) is a good move in my opinion 👍
Thanks! She joined me last week also with the CX-50 we did.
Great intro!
I'm glad you like it! It's been many many years since we've done a cold open for a video.
ooohlala new Nile video and a Mazda also
Got more coming in the pipeline, just waiting for the OEMs to get back to me on confirming bookings.
Are you back? Gone about 1 year?

You driving crazy as hell while she in the wear wheel
I know right 🤣
Most 3 row seats are 2 rows 99% of the time.
That's always how we drive them, but out of all the other three-rows we've driven the rear seats never made as much noise as the CX-90.
God damn... the car sounds horrible from this vid. Haha. I'm seriously reconsidering this model
Yea the engine did seem pretty loud to us also.
It looks like a BMW.....
