I enjoyed it man much respect from Haiti to u still get it freestyle spit well
U really should have named the blocks and the park. The park off of the grand concourse is Joyce Kilmer park. I remember the park jams. I was born in 1970. I can go back to around 76 when I was 6yrs old watching the Djs spinning records and starting the record over and over. I was too young to understand why they didn't let the song play. I started getting it when scratching was introduced. Now it made sense. Another thing I remember was the song Disco Night by GQ. The Dj was starting from the Break or the get down and my favorite part of the song that goes: "ROCK!"-"FREAK!" This was 30 seconds of the song that was repeated over and over for at least 4 minutes. I loved it and was hooked. This was before scratching and it was not the radio Djs I listened to religiously to hear a Disco mix from one of the few Djs that would mix records like WBLS" Frankie Crocker, or WKTU"s Paco. As young as I was, I would listen to the radio for hrs to hear a Dj mix songs. Not just blend records, but use 2 copies of the same record. This was when hip hop was called ghetto music and the Djs were known as Street Djs. Before the MCs and rap groups or crews, the Dj was the rapper. Though they nursery rhythms, it was the Street Dj rapping. Kool Herc said rhymes, and Coke La Rock was a Dj. Djs like Hollywood and Eddie Cheeba were not considered Street Djs but they were known for rhyming or rapping to the beat. The list goes on. Before rap records the only place to hear hip hop was the Bronx and parts of Harlem.
Peace 🗽🔥☀️
