Oh wow! Thank You!!! That's so encouraging to hear! I'm such a City Girl, but my Mom would take us Apple 🍎 picking and 🍓 strawberry Thepicking in an a town in Michigan called BELLEVILLE. We ride in a tractor pulled wagon and carry fruit back to the wagon and ride back to pay for what we picked! Then we would get fresh cider and hot donuts to take home! 😀💖💖💖💖💖 That's the extent of my farm experience🤭😂!!!! Thank you for letting me know l got it right!!!!
Making tiny crates and boxes is one of my absolute favourite miniature projects too. I always have random coffee stirrers in my handbag and pick them up from every coffee shop etc on my travels. Friends gather them for me now also 😂. I recently got some really thin ones from turkey! Then each crate has a memory of who I was with and what we were doing. I love the idea with straw the handle, must try that! I also use brown cereal box packaging as it stains pretty well to look like wood if scored with a pointy tool to mark wood grain. This enables me to mass produce using my Cricut too for a market project I’m working on as I work as a business support advisor for 8 high streets Nottingham, Robin Hood county! I make miniature versions of shops and market stalls to demonstrate display ideas and shop signage. This is why I’m especially delighted by your dolls houses and dress shop! Thank you as always for fabulous content, much love ❤❤❤
Oh my word Gretchen they are so precious . You did a super job on them. You are s very Talented lady. I love the little stickers. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. May you have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear and Special Friend. ❤❤❤
Your imagination is contagious! I have some suede pieces and made a book, which led to more journals and they got more & more detailed and intricate. I was laughing because you always say that’s what happens when you let your imagination run free. It’s so so true. I loooove the burlap sacks! I need to get burlap now
Thank you so much for this video it brought back so many memories from my childhood when my uncle built boxes like these for the local farmers in the valley that grew fruit & vegetables to sale. I can’t wait to get started.
I am so impressed by your glue restraint! (Any extra ooze was cleared up and covered so easily) Your excessive glue recovery programme is working very well for you. The crates and sacks are just perfection, I'll need to make some soon for my kitchen so this was excellent timing! Keep it up!
@@littlegretchensworkshop7665 I know!!! I just made something with super glue the other day and sat back in shock at the end because I didn't glue myself to it!!! A miracle! 🤣🤣🤣
Nice work! I really enjoy your sense of humor and that you show or talk about what can be done if something doesn’t turn out the way you expected at first. Thanks for sharing!
I have some fruit boxes very similar to these...I live in Apple Country, so fruit is everywhere and what I mostly preserve. These are just perfect for your dolls' harvest and preservation.
Hello Gretchen, what a really good idea for using up all the bits of scrap wood, the boxes and crates look great, love the little labels they really add a sense of realism. Have a lovely week. Best Wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊
Gretchen, where do you get the labels for your boxes? That’s one thing I struggle to find, labels. I love the way your boxes turned out, they are wonderful. Did you say, that you used lock tight glue?
I feel an urge to rush and go through my wood scraps now. 😄 The crates and boxes turned out really cute. 🥰 The straw handles are a good idea for the dolls' comfort. If you had a cylindrical bead of the right size and with a big enough hole, you could slide it on the wire(s) before attaching the second end(s). Or, of course, you could do with the straw section if you didn't want it slit lengthwise. I don't know if that would make attaching the wire harder, though. 🤔
Those are adorable. I love the crates and sacks....gosh I can't wait to get back to the Josephine House...every time I'm away from it, working on other projects for too long..I start to get anxious...it's sort of like my second home.😂❤
Yes! I know what you mean!!! Second home in deed!!!!When l realize my fantasy world and Real life get mixed up! I'll have something in miniature and think l have it in life size! 😂😀💖💖💖💖
Hi Gretchen! When you create do you say, oh the dolls are going to need some crates and sacks then go get into your supplies? Or do you get into your supplies and say I want to make some crates-the dolls can probably use those? I guess what I'm trying to say is how do you decide what to create "next"? My current project is challenging me to make multiples so I love getting inspired by your videos. Love the way your diluted paint stains turned out! Yes! I've seen that red handled kind of basket too! The aging and labels really completed the look of the crates and boxes. Fun project! 🥰✨
Waste not, want not! A real crafter will always keep their scraps and find a way to use them because you never waste your materials, right? My family make fun of me saving small pieces of ribbon or tiny pieces of fabric, some cardboard scraps, whatever might be used.
Hey there Patricia yes I totally understand! I used to think I was weird collecting little bits and pieces but those are my supplies as a child! Now I know those items will be useful! BUT occasionally I will Purge 😆🤭😆☺️💖😃!!!!
I love your imagination, the way you take scraps and leftovers and make something so useful for the dolls.
I love them all! They remind me of the things we used on the farm growing up in the 60's for food, eggs, plants, tools... you name it. Well done!

Oh Sweetie. I hope your foot is feeling better. 🙏
When are Marguerite and Saidi returning from their honeymoon?
I think 🤔 it’s called a runner, they run vertically, not horizontally. 🤷🏾♀️
