    Hello. Where is the PROGRAM recorded? Looks like the device does not have an SDI slot. You record it to a hard drive?

    First of all, congrats on the video but I have a question; how is the sound behavior if I connect a mixer like Zoom L8 to the audio input of the L1? Do you have delay in the audio?

    • @OrdinaryFilmmaker

      I didn't use a mixer, so I can't comment.

      I didn't as there was no update available when I had it.

      It's a good unit, and drops the price. No other capture cards or devices are required.

  • @mitdnights

    Oh mate. The reason you would want to leave it mid transition in fade is for VJing! Can it just hold the fade in the middle for as long as you want without freezing the transition? The Roland hardware is very pricey for VJing and lots of people still using composite on the old edirol units. It would be really nice if there was chroma on this unit

      I held it for some time and it did not revert. I didn't do an indefinite test, but it did hold it for a while.

    Fantastic "how to" review. Couldn't be any easier to use after watching this video. Nice work.

      Glad it was helpful! My focus is on keeping it simple and conveying the capabilities needed to make the review useful. Too technical and it becomes hard to follow.

    You didn't talk about the audio aspects... Can the audio lock to a specific HDMI input?

    • @OrdinaryFilmmaker
      @OrdinaryFilmmaker  4 роки тому

      I didn't think it would be fair without having an audio mixing board to show how to get good audio from live streaming. Most live streamers have that.

    I have terrible USB camera performance compared to HDMI. It's laggy, less quality. I've messed with every setting I can find, upgraded firmware, you name it. I cannot get any sort of quality out of the USB. Did you come across anything like that while testing?

    • @OrdinaryFilmmaker
      @OrdinaryFilmmaker  3 роки тому

      I did not. I tested with the old Canon 70D and the new Canon r5. Have you tried multiple USB cameras?

  • @nianilesproduction

    Hey good information to know, one question... Do you need a capture card when using this piece of equipment. I'm using a laptop that does not have a video capture card.

    • @OrdinaryFilmmaker
      @OrdinaryFilmmaker  4 роки тому

      Nope. All I had to buy was a longer USB cord. Works right out of the box. Good kit.

    When I select the cut transition, It doesn't work. It still fades. Is there a special way to use the cut transition?

    • @OrdinaryFilmmaker
      @OrdinaryFilmmaker  4 роки тому

      I remember having an issue once, but I remember it being that I had not selected it. You have to click down to select. Simply moving the cursor over the transition is not enough ;)

    I know absolutely zilch about vlogging. Can I be so bold as to suggest you do a session from start to finish on how to get started, software / hardware etc? Let’s get in to it :-)

    • @OrdinaryFilmmaker
      @OrdinaryFilmmaker  4 роки тому

      Great suggestion! But it is much more complicated than the normal videos, so much more equipment is needed. This device, plus an audio mixer, plus mic, etc...

    Looks like a solid piece of gear. I recently got an Atem Mini and I love it but I wish it had a screen like this one. Not only the AM doesn't have one, it doesn't do preview. For that you need to get the Pro version which is more expensive. So good for Feelworld!
    I have live streamed 4 times so far and everytime I had something wrong. First it was a faulty HDMI cable, then it has been audio and it had been related to OBS. Not because the software is bad, au contraire. It's just like you say, the hardest part of live streaming is getting the interface right (OBS, Ecamm, etc).

    Don’t buy LIVEPRO L1, it’s a very bad device and I don’t recommend it to anyone.
    The ATEM Mini Pro is far better, appreciative and professional.

    • @OrdinaryFilmmaker
      @OrdinaryFilmmaker  3 роки тому

      Sasa, people won't take your comment to heart without key points and capabilities that are missing. Otherwise you comment just comes across as a way to tarnish a brand with out details.

    • @sasajelic5838
      @sasajelic5838 3 роки тому +1

      @@OrdinaryFilmmaker I recently bought a LIVEPRO L1 device, and it's bad.
      1. Only 1 audio input can be used? Nonsense.
      2. No direct blue key.
      If I don't want to stream, do I want to record a video? There is no such option.
      3. There is no streaming key.
      4. It heats up a lot
      5. Complication for system upgrade.
      6. Poor audio input quality.
      I bought it, and immediately placed it in an ad for sale.

    • @OrdinaryFilmmaker
      @OrdinaryFilmmaker  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks Sasa. That comments helps a lot of people understand the issues you had. I streamed several times and didn't have any issues. As far as recording, that's where your streaming software comes in. It's not up to the device.

    • @sasajelic5838
      @sasajelic5838 3 роки тому

      @@OrdinaryFilmmaker The problem is that the LIVEPRO L1 does not have a direct output for recording to an SSD, as the Atem Mini pro has that option and that is a big advantage.
