I Drove Street Lites there very bad to drive and poor on everything. I Now went back to coach driving. I Now drive a Setra V200 OCC. What a stunner to drive
It was still able to shift gears so it's probably not that. It's rare you get people in the bus community talking about the computers functioning stuff on the bus tho, u a engineer or something. It could actually be a Engine computer fault since it's on limp
@@LJ07EBP I do work on buses yeah, been on that job since '22. Granted the buses we have are different/not quite like this one, but they behave in a similar way when the gearbox is on its way out/needs rebuilt.
I don't like them as much because of their reliability. It's so bad. They're always breaking down and always struggling. This is also the first time me on a Streetlite which broke down. But I have seen other Streetlites break down before. Thid was also taken on a Sunday which meant there was Streetlites out everywhere even on routes in and out of Worcester and in the City of Worcester.
Awesome video joe you're not the only person to hate streetlites because I hate them as well and you was correct at the end of the video they definitely are a pain to ride on have a good day joe
Yeah. And an exact reason why I am going to be hating First Worcestershire's Fleet in the future. It is all going to be Streetlites and Streetdecks mainly now.
Everybody was fine. The alarm was really driving me insane. Possibly the driver was also going mad because of that alarm but she kept calm and sorted everything out in a calm and relaxed way. Just a typical day for Streetlites really.
I don't like the Cummins examples because they're really loud. The Daimler ones meanwhile they're more quieter. Tbh both of them aren't good in general because of course the terrible reliability. Even Streetdecks aren't any better. But for some reason I kinda like Streetdecks because to me they're more pleasant to ride on than Streetlites.
Nah basically the engines computer detects when there's a broken part somewhere on the chassis or leak and to prevent further damage it automatically sets itself into limp mode which reduces the amount of fuel sent to engine to reduce power
Credit to that Bus Driver she did very well handling that situation the alarm must of been Driving her and the passengers mad
Yeah she did. It drove me mad alot. It was also on a Sunday meaning that loads of Streetlites were doing services in and out of Worcester that day
We had a streetlite for rail replacement one full weekend. Someone from upstairs must have been having a chuckle
Ever since these streetlite entered service they’ve always had a problem
Not always, every bus type has had a problem

Gearbox fault. You can tell by how its struggling. Guessing its ECU decided that day to have an off day.
Ok thanks for the information. I'm not a huge expert at faults on buses but all I know is Streetlites fail alot. So thanks again.
It could be a engine fault and not gearbox computer as it's still shifting gears fine, just engine is lacking
we have the same busses in eastern Ireland too and they are horrible. the emergency door is falling off all of them and breakdowns are common
This sounded like it was a gearbox issue, likely the control module going "ight imma head out"

That happened to me when I was 12 and I hope streetlites are still okay 👍

Thank you Xander.
so glad the streetlites are gone for me most of the buses in my route the stop button dont work and/or have poor accerleration
Well well well looks like buses can limp like we can
😂😂
I had a WF streetlite with this alarm tbh I didn’t mind it
Isn't this the same bus that wouldn't start in the previous video?
Yes it is.
@@joemercedeschannel196 typical streetshite
Absolute streetshite. Even tho i do not live in the UK, I have seen stuff like this of how bad they are. This is a good example.
Yeah. And an exact reason why I am going to be hating First Worcestershire's Fleet in the future. It is all going to be Streetlites and Streetdecks mainly now.
Another limped Streetlite never knew and that alarm bruhhh hope everyone was alright

Lol that bus is definitely broken hope it's fixed though
Yeah. The situation was sorted out on Monday and it came back into service today in the City Center of Worcester. Doing services U1 34 and 35.
weirdly enough it can also depend on the engine variant, the cummins ones are much better than the daimler ones

I know they may be louder, i prefer them. I drove the streetlite in a simulator and what do you know, doesnt want to start... @@joemercedeschannel196
Can’t they chuck them cymru clipper buses they got from wales and chuck them on 144
I wish they could on a Sunday. Better than them Streetlites. And also we got a million of them right now.
Sound like fire alarm
thought the 153 doesnt run on weekends
Yeah it does. It's not a public service for some odd reason though.
Everyone hates the shitlights🤣
😂😂😂
Is limp mode when you only have 75% of ur power

@@LJ07EBP oh thx
First Buses are honestly the worst.
They're actually my favourite bus operator. To me they're not too bad. Diamond Redditch are worse though
