  • Welcome to the Trick Shift Garage! In this video, we'll show you a few tricks on how to remove the old filter gasket and correctly install a new one using only basic tools (no special tools required). We'll be using our 6L80 transmission as our example while I was changing the fluid and filter on it, but the same steps should work on most transmissions with these types of filters and gaskets. It's imperative to be careful when working with aluminum as it can become damaged (from steel tools) if you're not careful...so PLEASE be very precise. This video should help you get the job done so you can get your vehicle back on the road! Thanks for watching and if you have any questions, leave a comment below!

Hey, you're welcome glad to help. Yes, I would go ahead and change the transmission fluid now and every 50k km going forward. CVTs are very sensitive to dirty fluid so changing it sooner is always better. Thanks for watching! 😊

Hey having problems with my 12’ Altima it’s stall out randomly sometimes then a traction light will come on with a check engine light and it’ll jump and jerk at 2.5k rpm code reader says p0101 maf code cleaned it out same thing happens but ordered a new maf sensor and throttle body to see if it fixes it

Hey, yeah sounds like the MAF sensor went bad. Hold off on replacing the throttle body because the new MAF might just fix the issue, then you can return the throttle body 😉
      Thanks for watching!
