Theory 2 is probably right. Also, in Secret of the Old Clock, there's an obvious reference to Little Shop of Horrors! The Blenheim Nursery just next to the inn has a character named Seymour you deliver telegrams to, who gets bitten by a plant. Later, Nancy delivers a telegram to "Audrey"
Sea of Darkness did such a good job making me genuinely worried that Ned was going to leave Nancy, and I had never been a Ned fan until I read a huge Ned meta on Tumblr. Best believe I learned so much Icelandic to buy Ned that sword lol
Wow, I'm amazed by theories 1 and 2, totally plausible! I've never noticed the doll house 🤯 As for Matt and Kyler, red flags are abundant indeed 😬 I don’t really think Hugh and his ex-wife are back together, but I love the way that carefully hidden postcard and Nancy‘s remark about it plant a seed of doubt in our minds and make us suspect Hugh. I mean, if they were back together, Hugh could be the one behind Linda‘s "curse", to make her leave… Thank you for the interesting video! 👏🏻
If you rewatch the start of Silent Spy, the dollhouse is truly only on the screen for a split second! Which is a shame cause it's such a great detail. That's true, I'm not 100% convinced by it either but it's interesting to think about and see how HeR Interactive sowed the seeds of doubt! OOOO that could be very interesting tho, thinking about Hugh being part of the plot to get rid of Linda!!
Ahhhh! I love this! Surprising us on your own birthday! ^_^) And Wow, I have Never found that postcard in Blackmoor but that is highly suspicious. I could totally believe that Hugh was Done with Linda's antics as he seems pretty bored talking about the scary things going on with her. The whole family kinda sucks- Mrs. Drake doesn't really see anything wrong Linda either, meanwhile she's eating raw steaks and shut herself up in her room completely for days on end. Also, the way Linda talks to and about Jane? This whole family has Issues. But the Sonny Joon theory must be my favorite now. I can totally believe it. It really would explain some things. Sonny Joon was one reoccurring character that was better left off screen. I loved running into him from different work stations, and was happy imagining what he might be like. Well, Happy Birthday Snughly! Thanks for the lovely video!
Yeah honestly the Penvellyns are really messed up!! I guess that comes from having a family of drama queens lol. Yeah honestly no matter what Sonny Joon was like, seeing him in person would always be disappointing in some way! I agree, I enjoy having him exist as an unseen presence. Glad you enjoyed ❤️
I am just getting into your videos and I love these ND theories! As someone who has played the games sooo many times, I sometimes get bored with them since I know most inside and out. So when I want their vibe and to chill and play them again, adding these extra bits of intrigue make them so fun again! 💚
Listen, I know Castle Malloy wants you to think that Kit's still in love with Kyler, but I've always been SO SURE that Kit's actually in love with MATT and in denial about it, which imo is much more tragic and compelling.
8:23 no it’s very valid a kid would think delivering telegrams would be fun. One of my friend’s kids dreams of being a paperboy after seeing it in an old movie 😂😂
the telegrams are a hint on how to solve the "logic" puzzle for topham, even in the one you shown the girl as story brook farms says I would not "double cross" you or anything
Kinda ironic because I had a different concept called the Nancy Drew legacies in which the main protagonist is Nancy Drew who is named after her grandmother Nancy Drew, and wants to be a detective like her grandmother.
While The Shattered Medallion was most definitely a disappointing game in the series (nonsensical plot full of holes, almost all of the characters have no substance or motivation, ridiculous puzzles, etc.), I believe the statement that Sonny Joon’s in person character was disappointing is 9.5/10 rooted in ableism. Almost all of the reasons given by fans as to not liking him as a character is because of the traits he was given as an autistic coded character. I’d go as far as to say it’s as close to being canon as you can get that Sonny Joon is autistic. When MED came out, Sonny Joon was dragged through the mud and his character was beaten into the ground by a large group of fans for being weird. That being said, I’m curious to hear why you think Sonny Joon’s character was disappointing?
There was so much build-up to the reveal of Sonny Joon in person and everyone had high (and different) expectations for him and there's no way he could have met all of those expectations.
@@snughly The Original Friday The 13th came out in 1980 and Mrs. Vorhees was The Killer it wasn't until Friday The 13th Part 2 1981 when Jason started Killing since He saw His Mother get beheaded in The Ending of The First Movie

Huh? This sounds like projection. People were disappointed because there was no addressing of the years’ long history between Nancy and Sonny. Thus there was no character development fans were expecting.

I've never noticed that postcard in the game before! Very interesting theories!
Yeah it only appears after a certain point in the game and kind of blends in! Very subtle
CUR is my favorite game and I’ve played it countless times and never caught the postcard before either! That was a sneaky one! 😅
I CANT get over the Blackmoor manor one omg Hugh is out here ruining lives
I always thought Jane was sorta in the right lol

The hugh thing might have just been one of those red herrings every nancy game has so that you suspect everyone lol

I love how Linda shuts herself away behind a curtain lol, it’s so dramatic. The game very much gives Beauty and the Beast.

The Minette and Sonny theory is almost indisputably true.

"tickle the fancy" LOL Great video. Part 3 coming this month??
There will be a Halloween-themed fan theory video coming October 31st!
@@snughly HOORAY!! You are absolutely the most beautiful Canadian Nancy Drew-themed channel on UA-cam! 😍🤣

Love ND theories!!!
7:00 new theory. What if Nancy was named after the 1930 Nancy Drew books 😂😂😂😂
oh my god that would be so wild and meta lmaoo
