My favourite statement in this tip was „The sound we are creating is … the result of … all the thoughts between(!) two notes.“ This had and has an enormous, very important impact for me. Thanks for sharing, Annique.
Could you, or someone else, clarify whether the notes played sequentially in legato have become more tied together, that is, more slurred than previously? Someone like Glenn Gould's legato would have a hint of staccato in it compared to more modern interpretations. Is that right? Or am I getting confused between regular playing patterns that have a hint of staccato anyway versus playing that specifically asks for legato i.e., smooth slurring...? Thanks
Thank you again for another really informative video. You have an amazing gift for being able to explain and instruct in a really enlightening way. Your explanation of legato has given me much to think about and consider. I love this channel!
toujours vrai et instructif. c'est une belle vue avec abstraction, une vision concrète serait sans doute celle du travail de percusionniste et de jeu avec l'harmonie qui accompagne chaque note ...et qui se prolonge....
Something about your voice and your expertise on the keyboard that makes your videos captivating. I love the way you play and explain things. Thank you.
Can you do a video on how to improve sight reading?
How are you only at 1.27K? Amazing channel and really informing for people of all levels of experience. Chopin approves!

Thank you very much ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you must have 1000000000000 subscribers
So many words and nothing about how to play legato 🤷♀️
legato is a cognate of 'ligature,' something that ties (or is tied)
It sounds like music even when you are talking...such a pleasure to listen to
@Justin Ohara Yes SIMP.
Just kidding.

Really like your videos and the way you talk! :)
could you make a video about different uses of the pedal depending on the music period or the style?
BTW the mark of an accomplished opera singer is the ability to continue the legato across notes. 👍
“The Pedal”? We all know there are three pedals. My favorite is the sostenuto pedal and not just because I like the name 🤗
You are so beautiful
