Hi Joey, I really like your content! Keep it up! I'm currently taking the CPA Exam, just took FAR in October and I'm taking REG mid December. I feel like your videos have really helped me in this journey
Hey Carlos! Thanks for letting me know, I'm so happy you're enjoying. Good luck with your exams. It sounds like you're off to a good start! Keep it up!
Hi Joey! Thank you for the video. My son is applying for college for accounting major. Can you please share(if that's ok) your 5yr or 10yr plan as CPA on a high level so that he can have a perspective of a CPA career. Thank you.
Hey! Happy to hear that he's interested in accounting. And I'll try to make a full video on this topic but for now I will say my plan is to keep working my way up in the firm I am currently at (going up to manager, senior manager, etc.). I'm not sure how far up that ladder I will get before I decide to either leave to some company and work in hopefully some sort of higher-up management level (maybe someday as a VP of finance or even a CFO someday), or.... I will become a full time entrepreneur. Owning my own business and being an entrepreneur is the end goal for me but I guess it can't be guaranteed so I still need to keep my career progressing. I'm not one to be great with planning my future though (which is why accounting appealed to me in the first place as there are so many ways the career can go). But what i outlined above is my general idea. I hope this helps and good luck to you and your son!
@@JoeyCPA yeah I mean, in india there is big 4 like Deloitte, KPMG, EY... But want to know the salary of CPA for freshers nd as a outsiders how much I hv to earn to cover up my cost of living in US
@@devsaraogi7286Hey Dev, you really have to look at individual state laws regarding what is required to sit for the CPA exam. It's different by state. I believe there is at least a minimal federal law to sit for the exam, but each state is different. If you're doing any type of accounting work, you should be able to support yourself, but I don't know what your personal requirements are. In the state of Connecticut, you basically need a four-year degree to sit for the exam.
Oh yeah, the accountant stereotype is awful. It has been forever. We're often laughed at 😂. Amount of phux I give? Zero. Besides that, I met an accountant who served a five-year prison sentence for assault and is covered in tats and was in a biker gang. He got out of prison and went directly into college. He was studying accounting in prison. Talk about a life turnaround.
