So Thrifty/Dollars has the older higher mileage fleet? Or do they get new cars too? I have Hertz Good but Thrifty has the same class car for cheaper. Which reservation should I take?

Definitely make sure you ask for a printed copy of the car rental contract and bring that with you. I think Hertz still prints these out by default.
