    İlginç bir şekilde, Türk isimlerinin Yalın Hal’ını yapmak için yunan "s"yi ekliyorlar: Alis (4:46) Arifs (6:27) Hassans (3:44)
    Bazı önemli noktalar:
    "Hepimiz Yunanca konuşuyoruz" (3:05)
    "Izumida" = “evdominda” (= yetmiş “bd” “z” olur)
    "yerete" = “erhete” (=geliyor / Girit lehçesinde "yayerno"=“dönüyorum” gibi)
    “Burada (Yunanca) biliyorlar, kim bilmiyor” (1:33)
    "Büyük anne ve büyükbabam Türkçe bilmiyordu, sadece rumeika (rumca)" (0:04)
    * (1924'de Türkiye'ye zorla göç ettikleri zamanlardan sonra, o zamanlar Lozan Antlaşması'na dahil olan büyük nüfus değişimi ile).
    GB: Friends from the region of Tsalatza Constantinople, descendants of exchangeable Turks, who speak Greek naturally, not from school, in a dialectical form 100 years old. *
    For those with language sensitivities, it is an important source of information on the dialectical "passions" (variations) of language by region and season.
    Touching is the story of Ali who became Alexis, from 3:10.
    Interestingly, they add the "s" to make the nominative casus of the Turkish names: Ali (4:46) Arif (6:27) Hassan (3:44)
    Some “highlights”:
    "We all speak Greek" (3:05)
    "Izumida" = “evdominda” (=seventy “bd” becomes “z”)
    "yerete" = comes (like “yayerno” ="I return" in Cretan dialect)
    "They know (Greek) here, who does not know" (1:33)
    "Great mother and grandfather didn't know Turkish at all, only romeika-rumca" (0:04)
    * (From the time of their - forced - immigration to Turkey in 1924, with the then great population exchange, that was included in the Lausanne Treaty.)

      half of greece is still occupied by turks , as soon as greek cities are free , greeks and turks can be the best friends in the world.
      u see just because turks occupy greek territories for so long it doesnt mean they ever belong to them.
      ask the jews who waited 2000 years to get back their city jerusalem, the same will do the greek with the capital of the greek world, CONSTANTINOPOLIS .
      once the turkish occupation ends, the greek can start becoming friends with ppl who dont keep stolen stuff from their neighbours, see thats how easy it is to have peace in the world.

      The people in the video speak greek as maternal language. They are not turks. They were exchanged because they were muslims. They are greek muslims. But in turkey kemal attaturk created a nation by unifying different nations together under the umbrella of turkey and islam. He considered anyone muslim a turk. Kemal attaturk himself was an albanian muslim. Qemal is a very common albanian name. Kemal s father was from a village in the border of modern day north macedonia and albania. He was not from thessaloniki as the turks say.

    We lived with Greeks for centuries. I always feel ashamed for that we can’t speak Greek. We’re like siblings. In the end we both suffered and broke each other’s heart for no reason. We should have spoken our languages. I wish politicians focus on our similarites rather than political games. We should learn more about our languages and cultures. Greetings from Turkey dear Greek friends, we’re neighbours, we’re friends and we are united by hearts. We will beat dirty political games with our long live friendship 💕💕💕

Judging by the Greek dialect they speak (clearly a northern Greek dialect), they are in all probability descendants of the so-called 'Vaalades", i.e. Greeks of the Grevena-Kozani region in the West Macedonia province of Greece who converted to Islam around late 18th-early 19th century. Their native language was Greek but since they were Muslims they were sent to Turkey, according to the terms of the population exchange treaty between Greece and Turkey

In 1780th the Greeks left their settlements in the Crimea and came to the steppe not far from the Sea of Azove.There they founded the city of Mariupol and numerous villages.This video just reminded me of that culture.

      What your ancestors spoke is Pontic Greek, but these people speak a different Greek dialect. Their ancestors came from Macedonia and that’s why they speak a typical northern Greek dialect(the regions of Kozani and Grevena in west Macedonia, though one of them said his origin is from Drama, in east Macedonia).

      @@kostas68 With all due respect, I have to say that Rumeika

      a separate Greek dialect or even a group of Greek dialects.And Pontic similarities were not generally accepted.

    • @kostas68
      @kostas68 2 роки тому

      @@developer3406 Pontic is to a certain extend aberrant from all other Greek dialects, because it was isolated from the rest of the Greek-speaking world for some centuries and thus it has not undergo the same evolution and kept many archaisms that have disappeared long ago from other Greek dialects. Some 30 years ago I had the opportunity to talk with a Pontian who came to Greece from Russia just 3-4 months before and so his speech was not influenced by standard Greek, he spoke only Pontian. Judging by that experience, I'd say the mutual intelligibility between Pontic and standard Greek is around 80-85%.

      Between 18th-19th century karamanlides were many many fewers than the Turks so the sultan closed the Greeks school and απαγορευσε to speak greek

      Thing is, Karamanlis wasn't a karamanli, his surname was probably a coincidence. He was born in Greece before the arrival of the karamanlides, around 1907 (the karamanlides came to Greece in 1923). He was from Serra and no source states any possible descent from Karaman. Basically, surnames playing around.
      Now, maybe a very far ancestor of his might have been a karamanli who settled in Greece very early, but years have passed so his turkish descent was probably very small.

So they were either Turks who came there while the Byzantine Empire was still strong and with great cultural influence, or simply Orthodox Greeks who forgot their language after hundrends of years of Turkish occupation but managed to preserve their religion. Eitherway, Karmanlides were a relatively small group of people in comparison with the hundrends of thousands Muslims of Greek origin that were expelled from Greece during the Lousanne treaty.

    I am really surprised the way history has been changed from some very good “friends” especially those claiming (falsely on purpose of course) that Ethiopians or Pashtuns from Pakistan or Pathan from Afghanistan are related to “King Salomon”. When Asian army of 400,000 soldiers invaded the Eastern Roman Empire the population of Asia Minor was exceeding 20,000,000. They just changed regime and some of them religion and dilect (which is related to Finish). No matter Islam or Christianity the vast majority (despite numerous genocides) are Ellines (Greeks). One day we will all be united again.

No need to explain the difference between language and dialect. You have just scratched the surface of the “la question d’ orient”” and I think it is better to carry on with your study cause it requires a lot of examination to understand and realize all the historical facts of this subject with global consequences. First study, do your research and then try to characterize other people with terms that you probable do not understand their meaning and have lead you to totally false conclusion.
