1986: Tim Hunter was born on a deserted island in the Canadian wilderness. His mother, Natalie Hunter, had followed his supposed father, Jeremy Hunter, whom she thought was having an affair with Erica Kane. Upon returning to Pine Valley, Natalie consented to a paternity test. Only, Adam Chandler rigged the test to make sure it read that Jeremy was Timmy's father. Adam was caught, forcing Natalie to have another test. This one revealed the truth: Alex Hunter was Tim’s father, and Jeremy, his brother.

Kate Collins is a class act. She has been generous and complimentary to both her successors, Melody Anderson and Robin Mattson. During her AMC tenure, she played a TRIPLE role--Natalie, Janet, and Mirror Janet. How did she not win an Emmy for her fantastic work? Killing off Natalie was one of the dumbest decisions AMC ever made! Now she can only come back as a ghost. There are rumors that ABC might revive AMC as a show called Pine Valley. I hope she comes back as the Marlowe sisters in some way. Collins needs to be back on the soaps.
Watched AMC from childhood into my 20s and 30s and I loved Natalie from the very beginning - the Erica/Jeremy/Natalie love triangle was so great, the affair with Ross when she was married to Palmer, the rape trial, killing Silver Kane and wrapping her in a rug, and of course Janet trapping Natalie in the well were all great and memorable storylines. Kate is one of my all time fav AMC actresses. Great to see “Timothy” too ! (Definitely Alex’s son but she was trying to make Jeremy think he was the father lol). I remember when Natalie went into labor haha. Didn’t she have to practically deliver her own baby ?
Wish he asked about why they made Janet crazy again when they brought back the character in 2005? And if the actress was low-key delighted that the character of Trevor was killed off? Because I know Kate disliked James Kiberd back in the day.... Well I hope in the AMC Reboot they bring back Janet played by Robin Mattson so that the character could be redeemed again
I wanted more questions like that to be asked, because MANY of the fans, new and old, wanted to know more about the situation. Not asking to be negative, but out of curiosity. JANET and NATALIE, along with the whole DILLON FAMILY were interesting characters.
Imagine this - Natalie is tragically killed as she was in 1993. The town mourns her. A few years go by and you see a blonde woman from behind as a prisoner. She looks up - and it’s Natalie! How is this possible? Lol. It was JANET that died in the car accident! She took Natalie’s place again and (once again) no one noticed (even the viewers wouldn’t have seen any scenes of the switch again. It could have happened after the Carter Jones storyline). Yeah, that would have been a hard thing to do and we never would have gotten Robin Mattson as Janet (Janet would have made a financial deal with the higher up at the prison she was in to secretly let her out and take her sister’s place again. Janet told the higher up she would funnel $$$ from the Mason Foundation to them for the rest of their life), but Natalie would be alive! After Janet’s death, Natalie’s kidnappers tell her that she has to remain “dead” to her family because she knows Janet’s stunt and they will kill her family if she returns to them (they’re funneling $$$ secretly still). No one checked on Janet from 1992-1994. How would they even know if she were missing if the authorities are crooked and were covering up for her? Or, Natalie is brainwashed into thinking SHE is Janet in jail after another switch! The authorities cover up the differences with dental and fingerprints for continued personal $$$ support. It would have been too much if Natalie thought SHE was Janet!!! Or continue to have Mattson return as Janet and find out she was never Janet at all, but a new character with ulterior motives. Remember, Janet had experimental plastic surgery and she was never Janet at all. They had to use a plastic surgery excuse to explain why RM’s mysterious character didn’t look like Natalie. 😃😃😃😃

There was one more person that David Hayworth had saved and when asked who that person was David said "You wouldn't believe it IF I told you." But AMC never revealed who that person was.....WHO WAS THAT LAST PERSON DR. DAVID HAYWORTH SAVED BUT WAS NEVER REVEALED ON AMC? THE SHOW ENDED BEFORE THAT PERSON WAS EVER REVEALED. WHO WAS THAT PERSON???
@@TheLocherRoom I know but it makes you wonder who that one person was that Dr. Hayworth never revealed. I recall him saying you wouldn't believe it if I told you to another actor/actress on the show.
There’s one thing I wish I could have asked KC: why did “Angel Natalie” talk about herself in the third person in Dec. 1997? Also, I’ve always thought “Natalie” was in Janet’s mind when they talked in 1998. Considering what happened with Trevor, I find it odd Natalie would advocate Janet and Trevor marrying. Jmho. I would have loved for Janet to hear Natalie’s voice cutting her down when KC returned as Janet in the 2000’s. Of course it really wouldn’t have been Natalie, but it would have been cool for KC to do voiceovers tormenting Janet. 😊😊😊😊
KC was DONE wrong by daytime and AMC. KC not winning an Emmy was ATROCIOUS. They treated her like garbage. Misogyny completely! They continued to make Natalie a damsel that needed saving by a man. Melody Anderson was done wrong, too. She was the ultimate sacrificial lamb. They threw her into a storyline KC was already in and they horrifically fired her. Though there’s only four soaps on left, I wish KC would make a return. I’d love to see her as a Horton on Days of Our Lives.
KC was so good as Natalie and Janet that you genuinely got mixed up that they were the same actor. I would have killed to have had just one scene with Natalie, Janet, and Wilma in at the same time! Robin Mattson did a great job as Janet (a rare recast that worked), but KC still had that “something”. Had TPTB allowed Natalie to stop being raped, kidnapped, abused, stalked, etc., MAYBE she would have stayed. I was gutted when she left, but I applaud her for leaving to start a family. KC CARRIED AMC through some dismal years. When the Writer’s Strike happened (1988?), she seamlessly took the bare bones material they gave her and made it gold. There was at least one month during that time of just Silver Kane’s ghost taunting Natalie, but KC rolled with it and made it work. KC leaving did prevent Natalie from being assassinated character-wise as so many AMC vets were (ummmmmm, Dixie and the poisonous banana pancakes anyone?? 🤮). Natalie always needing a man to save her didn’t wash because Natalie was never like that and I think I can say for certain that KC herself doesn’t need any saving! Lol. She also turned an extremely evil character into one of the most beloved heroine’s in AMC history. I truly believe there were co-stars (both male and female) that were jealous of her and possibly made her time sometimes difficult behind the scenes. AMC’s loss.
Melody Anderson did her best. Who could fill KC’s shoes?? Seriously. Melody Anderson was a Natalie that didn’t want all of the drama, etc. She just wanted to be a wife and mother. Sadly, when a character reaches that point, it’s almost always the end for them in Soapland. I know she has returned as Natalie four times as cameos, etc., but I wonder if KC would have returned as Natalie if MA’s Natalie was MIA (as in Natalie’s body not being found and presumed dead. A return-from-the-dead?). If MA HAD to go, I would have had Natalie’s body not found (I know, cliche) or an indefinite coma until KC’s sons were old enough to be on their own. Oh well---what could have been…..? 😭
One more thing, I adore KC, BUT I’m also an advocate of Melody Anderson. She was thrown to the proverbial lions by producers and fans. I think Natalie was killed as FU. Remember, Tara, Brooke, Nina, etc., all had recasts that didn’t click with viewers (Nina had TWO recasts no one liked and Tara had at least four!!!) but they weren’t irrevocably killed off. Hhhmmmmmm. Jmho…..

👍👍
So why the name change for Tom ?
It's his real name -- Tommy J. Michaels I believe was a stage name.
@@TheLocherRoom Thank you now I know
Big question, why is Tom in Blanche's bedroom 😂
😂😂😂
Why do they keep referring to Tim as Hayley's brother? Was that the case, or were the actors just close?
Tim was Hayley's adoptive cousin through Trevor
They were like brother and sister. Very close.
Thanks for the details.
@@TDKD1990 Thank you! I remembered them being cousins, but was confused when they said brother.
I wanna see Robin Christopher. 👀
Me too, Jermal.
I remember Skye's scenes with Natalie and Adam after they got married. Her and Natalie always got along.
@@TheLocherRoom hi Allan, I think if you reach out to Linda Dano, she will be able to link you up to Robin.
They should've recasted Natalie with Robin Mattson.
❤️
Recasted her, until KATE came back. They should never has killed the character off. I was in grade-school when this all happen, but I remember.
Hhhmmmmmm. Jmho…..
👍👍
Angie had a failed recast, too. But she didn’t die.
I feel bad for Melody Anderson and how she was treated by the show and the fans. I think people were too hard on her.
